Sima Marković is the most important Serbian intellectual of the communist movement in interwar Yugoslavia. Marković developed his ideological convictions through studying all key issues of social development. His attitude to economy, political and national issues derived from his aspiration to remain in line with the basics of Marxist theory while simultaneously questioning the existing knowledge related to it. In his attitudes, despite emphasizing ideological perspectives, Marković was often original. That satisfied his inquisitive mind but also opened up the space for doubt in the inferiority to ideological authority, but primarily to the party and leadership authority. His attitudes to nationalism in relation to the international character of the communist movement are the key topic of the work.

Current world circumstances related to political violence and terrorism have become the first agenda item for many governments. This situation has led to the formation of research groups on every continent, groups that aim to elucidate the sociological, biological, psychological, economic and political roots of aggression, political violence and terrorism. Researchers and thought leaders from more than 20 countries were present in Cartagena at the 4th Annual CICA/STR International Conference on Aggression, Political Violence and Terrorism: An Interdisciplinary Approach for a Peaceful Society, organized by Coloquios Internacionales sobre Cerebro y Agresión (CICA), the Society for Terrorism Research (STR), and Instituto de Estudios Psicobiosociales e Intevencion en Violencias (IEPSIV).

This essay discusses whether international humanitarian law is concerned with the plight of refugees & internally displaced persons. Humanitarian law developed out of armed conflict between sovereign powers with equal rights, & therefore, appears to apply only to international armed conflict. However, certain provisions apply also in the case of civil war & are binding on both the state & the insurgent party. Even though the Geneva Conventions & their additional Protocols contain hardly any references to refugees or stateless persons, & none concerning internally displaced persons, these groups are protected by rules protecting the civilian population against the effects of hostilities. As states are not prepared to enter into the same commitments regarding internal conflicts, the rules applying to non-international armed conflict are far less comprehensive than those applicable to international conflict. Nevertheless, a special convention for the protection of internally displaced persons might weaken existing provisions as they are already protected by international humanitarian law. E. Sanchez

The article deals with the issue on the correlation, study and usage of the international relations history theoretical foundations as a sufficiently specific scientific direction, combining the features of historical and political sciences, in particular world history, the history of diplomacy, political science, the theory of the international relations, etc. The emergence of the international relations history is connected with the development of national historical sciences, the study of the history of diplomacy, geopolitical concepts, the theory of international relations, etc. The results of the scientific study of the international relations history have laid the basis for the common international processes study. Throughout the XX-th century this direction was actively developing, been influenced upon by the confrontation of political systems. Accordingly, antagonistic ideologies were used, a sample selection of historical facts and sources was carried out. Such issues as the concept and the subject of the international relations history, its periodization, and relations with the world history, history of diplomacy, the theory of international relations and other scientific directions still remain controversial.

The International Socioeconomics Laboratory is proud to present its fourth issue of the Across the Spectrum of Socioeconomics journal. In 2017, we realized that the socioeconomic issues and conflicts present on the international scale needed to be addressed. Involvement in and a deep understanding of the socioeconomic field is vital, and thus the institution that has grown to become the global research network known as the International Socioeconomics Laboratory was founded. Our success is contingent upon cultivating the unique triumphs of individuals, communities, and countries as we work with a diverse set of legislators and scholars ranging from local leaders in Myanmar to United States Senators. Since 2017, our research has had immense translational effects, which include numerous bills in policy introduced by our institute, as well as our data backed developmental projects for underserved communities that are valued over $150 million USD. We understand that legislative action and expansional ventures around the world with a goal as audacious as supporting human-rights, healthcare growth, and education revitalization is an immense undertaking. However, our institution believes that by focusing on socioeconomics, we can best address the most pressing issues around the world. The relevance of our work has been reinforced in the twenty-first century, as we face social and public health challenges that cannot be ignored. Reliable data is more important than ever before in guiding decision-making on all fronts of social and economic issues. The research in this issue has been produced by fellows of the laboratory with the guidance of their Principal Investigators. We thank all of the principal investigators from universities all across the country. We also thank all of our advisors from Harvard University, London School of Economics, Fordham University, Duke University, Yale University, University of Cambridge, and Stanford University. Without you, our work would not have been possible. As we grow as an ...
