The short review of planning system and practice in Serbia has been given, of spatial planning and environmental policies and of relevant legislation in particular. Attention has been paid to the landscape treatment in legislative grounds, and in spatial planning and practice. A few assumptions have been wade, upon the lack of methodological and integrated approach to the landscape protection and management in the legislative grounds and planning practice. Strategic plans (spatial and town master plans) and sectoral plans and policies (for soil, forestry etc) have been reviewed in attempt to check the stated assumptions. The problems of landscape and of green open space protection and maintenance have been brought up. In respect of the EU recommendations, legislation and instruments the establishment of the landscape concept and of the landscape planning and its integration into the spatial planning, environmental policies and related sectoral planning have been investigated. The prerequisite to the concept implementation is the survey and establishment of regional landscape diversification and of the different regional approaches to landscape planning. . ; Dat je kratak prikaz stanja i problema sistema i prakse planiranja u Srbiji, posebno prostornog i envajermentalnog planiranja i relevantnih zakonskih osnova. Analiziran je tretman predela u zakonskim osnovama i praksi prostornog planiranja. Pošlo se od pretpostavke o nedostatku integralnog pristupa zaštiti i uređenju predela, koja je proverena na primeru pojedinih zakona i prakse prostornog i urbanističkog planiranja, zatim planova, programa i politika zaštite životne sredine (posebno prirodnog nasleđa), kao i sektorskih planova i politika. Ukazano je na probleme planske implementacije, korišćenja i zaštite planiranih i podignutih zelenih površina. Polazeći od EU preporuka, regulative i instrumenata, analizirane su mogućnosti integrisanja koncepta predela i planiranja predela u planski proces, u prvom redu. u proces prostornog planiranja. AbstractDrawing on contemporary transgressive theoretical approaches, this paper examines how modern urban youth populations perform new identities by manipulating 'global?local' cultural and linguistic resources available to them such as popular culture flows. In its search for a post-Socialist identity, after the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1990, urban settings in Mongolia have been largely caught between the emerging transcultural flows. Young urban Mongolians have been participating in these current dynamic global interactions in multiple ways, while locating and styling their new identities within fluid spaces such as popular music. The linguistic practice of popular music in this regard is the main site for the exploration of the new identities performed by the urban youth population both as producers and consumers. It is the most dynamic and expressive space for urban youth to play, perform and negotiate within their identities.

The present work proposes to carry out a theoretical reflection on Community Cinema as a political action. To do this, it is proposed to construct feasible dimensions to analyze this type of cinematographic practice that allow finding marks of politicity in this type of cinematography. ; El presente trabajo propone realizar una reflexión teórica sobre el Cine Comunitario como acción política. Para ello, se plantea construir dimensiones factibles de analizar este tipo de práctica cinematográfica que permitan hallar marcas de politicidad en esta cinematografía.

Government funds are an essential funding source for many non-profits. The purpose of this project was to explore the views that non-profit employees have of the government funding of non-profits. Using a quantitative design, 86 employees at one Twin Cities area human serves non-profit were surveyed about their views of the government funding of non-profits. Data were analyzed using frequency tables. The findings indicated that over 80% of those surveyed agreed with the practice of government funding of non-profits.

The purpose of this book is to provide a comprehensive analysis and critique of the existing bodies of research literature on black families, children, and communities, and the effects of that literature on the status of this population today. New and expanded practice and research frameworks with culturally sensitive guidelines for rebuilding and increasing self- and collective sufficiency of this heterogeneous group is presented. These frameworks are used to propose specific approaches to culturally meaningful research, practice, and policy development related to black families. The authors

This study analyzed the new media practices of young North Korean defectors (YNKDs) who are portrayed in traditional media as the subject of South Korean stereotypes. Popular content on YouTube channels was examined to determine South Koreans' perceptions of North Korea and North Korean defectors. We also interviewed YNKD YouTubers and classified the types of practices in response to such perceptions. The results indicated that South Korean subscribers prefer content highlighting South Korea's superiority over North Korea. In response, YNKD YouTubers have produced content that may be characterized as "cultural assimilation," "conflict and compromise" and "seeking alternatives." This study found that the decisive factor that distinguishes these three response types is the pursuit of public interest, i.e., aiming to change South Koreans' perception of North Korean defectors. Inner conflicts over financial benefits limit YNKDs' practice and impede their move towards solidarity-based collective action. The findings suggest that YNKD YouTubers who want to change mainstream society's perceptions can contribute to unification by producing authentic and creative content about North Korea.

The aim of the following paper is to nuance the way in which mindfulness meditation, understood as a set of practices aimed at moment-tomoment awareness, is generally perceived in critical management studies as well as the broader critical social sciences. According to the general consensus, self-development practices thus produce various individual pathologies and reinforce the societal status quo. Using mindfulness meditation as an example, and by exploring how it was practiced by activists during Occupy Wall Street, the paper sets out to challenge this consensus and examine the possibility of progressive selfdevelopment practices. On this basis, we introduce Hartmut Rosa's concept of resonance as a starting point for conceptualizing the transformative potential of mindfulness without losing sight of the ambivalences and contradictions involved. The paper thus examines the criticism as well as the potential of mindfulness meditation, hoping to arrive at a critical reconciliation through a hopeful and realistic account of what taking note of the self can do.

Teachers' mental health not only increases their efficiency, professional growth and development but also their effects their personality. Punjab education department established Monitoring education authorities to improve quality of education by monitoring quality indicators. Monitoring practices of Education Assistants may affect the mental health of teachers on their workplaces which culminate in low performance. The objective of this study was to determine effect of monitoring education authorities' practices on school teachers' mental health. 300 elementary school teachers were selected for data collection through cluster sampling technique in District Sheikhpura. Data collection was done through survey questionnaire with 17 statements. Findings revealed that a significant correlation between teachers' performance and motivational techniques used by their heads. A pilot study was conducted to validate cronbach's alpha 0.86 which statistically significant. Furthermore, following practices of Monitoring education authorities are effecting mental health index .On the bases of these findings that it is recommended that the government might give training to MEAs for improving their behaviours during their visits in schools.

In theory, building resilience is touted as one way to deal with climate change impacts; however, in practice, there is a need to examine how contexts influence the capacity of building resilience. A participatory process was carried out through workshops in regions affected by drought in Chile in 2014. The aim was to explore how resilience theory can be better applied and articulated into practice vis-á-vis participatory approaches that enrich the research process through the incorporation of co-produced. The results show that there are more differences in responses by type of actor than between regions, where issues of national interest, such as 'education-information' and 'preparedness', are highlighted over others. However, historically relevant local topics emerged as differentiators: decentralisation, and political will. This reinforces why special attention must be given to the different understandings in knowledge co-production processes. This study provides evidence and lessons on the importance of incorporating processes of the co-production of knowledge as a means to better articulate and transfer abstract concepts, such as resilience theory, into practice.

The implementation of "good" practices of Corporate Governance (CG) allows companies' to strengthen long-term financial performance, attracting more and powerful foreign investors. Due to the importance that foreign investors have in developing countries, such as Albania, one may assume that the implementation of CG mechanisms in such places is beneficial both for companies and the countries' economy. In this sense, Albania has been struggling to find a CG model that fits under its historical, cultural and political landscape. This paper aims to analyze the current situation of CG practices in Albania, based on an application of the Delphi technique to a panel of Albanian Chief Executive Officers (CEOs). Despite the short life of Joint Stock Companies (JSC) in the Albanian trade market, results show that CEOs have a good level of knowledge regarding the basic mechanisms of CG. There is still room, however, for improvements in the implementation of these mechanisms and in the adoption of the internationally accepted CG best practices.

This study examined Israeli social workers' knowledge and practice concerning grandparents of children with disabilities. Eighty-one social workers providing services to families of children with disabilities responded to a 31-item questionnaire tapping demographic and professional background, knowledge of structural and functional aspects of grandparents' support, and actual practice with grandparents. The results showed that social workers recognize the significant and stable role grandparents play in the network of parents of children with disabilities. The findings also indicated that social workers believe that while parents need mostly emotional support from grandparents, they actually receive primary instrumental support, which contributes to mothers' adjustment more than it does to fathers' adjustment. As to actual practice, social workers report rarely involving grandparents in professional activities. Moreover, many social workers show no interest in obtaining more professional training in this area. The findings present a challenge to the social work profession to be more attentive to the significant family resource of grandparents in families of children with disabilities.

• Summary: This paper sets out key findings from a postal survey of 115 recently qualified social workers who completed the Diploma in Social Work (DipSW) in Wales in 1998 and 1999, together with a telephone survey of a sub-group of 50 of these DipSW leavers, 25 of their workplace supervisors and 25 of their employers. The aim of the study was to explore how adequately the DipSW in Wales prepared trainees for practice, with particular reference to core competences, values, and other identified professional skill areas. The study was funded by CCETSW/TOPSS Cymru. • Findings: The paper reveals that a firm majority of all participants in the study both considered the core competences and values contained within the DipSW to be relevant to current practice and believed that newly qualified staff were at least adequately trained in these areas. In respect of adequacy of training in other key skill areas, responses differed in relation to participant background in the statutory or voluntary sector and by major specialism in child or adult care. It will be seen that in some skill areas training is seen by almost a half of participants as less than adequate or poor. Overall, the findings suggest a positive view of the DipSW in Wales as at least adequate in preparing trainees for practice. However, some concern over training seems justified in relation to a small number of important skill areas. • Applications: The research can potentially inform DipSW programmes over aspects of curriculum development in anticipation of changes to qualifying training.

Background: unsafe abortion is a major public health problem in many countries. A woman die every eight minutes somewhere in developing countries due to complications arising from unsafe abortion. A complication of unsafe abortion contributes to 13% of global maternal mortality. In Sub-Saharan Africa, abortion complications represent 20 to 50% of maternal morbidity and mortality. Unsafe abortion is the most common cause of maternal mortality, accounting for up to 32% of maternal deaths in Ethiopia Objective: The study was conducted to assess practice of post abortion Care Service among government health centers in Addis Ababa. Method: A facility based cross-sectional study was conducted in Addis Ababa from January to February 2011. A pre-tested structured questionnaire and assessment of supply & equipments were employed. A single proportion formula was used to calculate the sample size. Data were entered and analyzed by SPSS version. Result: A total of three hundred fifty eight health professionals working on post abortion care in 24 government health centers were participated in the study Of 358 health professionals working on PAC Service 56% were between the age group of 20—30 years. Study subjects were nurses 80% followed by nurse midwives17%. Among all study subjects only 38% took refresher training. In the last three months, 27% of the respondents provided FP for post abortion patients. Sixty eight percent of the study subjects responded the appropriate place for post abortion FP service was at FP room and only 4% preferred in the delivery room. 79% of the study participants responded that patients express a desire for FP after PAC service. It was found out that among the 24 government health centers in Addis Ababa, 46% and 39% lacked IEC materials and MVA double valve syringes respectively. Those health professionals who took refresher training were more likely to practice post abortion family planning service. v Conclusion and Recommendation; The majority of health providers did not take refresher training on post abortion care. Some health centers lack basic equipments required for providing post abortion care service. In general the importance of practice of Post Abortion Care Service could be improved in accordance with the national health policy and involvement of NGOs. Therefore, an increased Post Abortion Care Service training program, with an emphasis on post abortion FP service, is recommended for health professionals to improve the overall Post Abortion Care service delivery

In the Interests of Justice: Reforming the Legal Profession lives up to its ambitious title. Deborah Rhode comprehensively surveys the structural problems confronting the legal profession, from its subscription to the "sporting theory of justice" to its preoccupation with profit. The book also lays bare the failure of legal education and the professional regulatory system to confront the roots of these structural problems. I must confess that reading the book felt like a whirlwind tour of the legal profession's inevitable problems. In part, this perception grew out of the sheer range of economic, institutional, and structural factors contributing to the problems surveyed and the reforms prescribed. The book also left me with some burning questions: What would trigger or support a sustained movement in the direction Rhode urges? What would align the capacities and incentives of the varying professional, regulatory, and non-governmental actors to mobilize change? Who are those actors? Where are the convergences of catalysts among them that might lead to unlikely alliances and creative problem solving? How might the range of governmental, nongovernmental, and professional regulatory organizations be linked to provide an architecture for tiered (and effective) regulation? How could such a system provide incentives and build capacity to engage in good practice, as well as provide effective sanctions to discourage serious abuse? What In the Interests of Justice did not set out to do was to provide a compelling theory of institutional and professional change. Indeed, Rhode's account can be seen as a devastating account of organizational and professional stasis, with the prevailing norms, incentives, information, and power operating to undermine or defuse reform efforts. Particularly when I attempt to imagine the process of professional transformation at the global and comprehensive level, fundamental structural change toward Rhode's social justice vision seems almost utopian. My response to the enormity of the problems Rhode canvassed was to imagine a more context-specific analysis and reform agenda. The prospect of achieving professional reform took on more realism when I shifted my gaze from the global level to that of particular domains with interrelated problems and actors. Lawyers operate in institutional contexts and communities of practice: organizations, specialty areas, industries, professional roles. What if we took a problem oriented approach to these practice domains?
