The objectives of the study are summarized to know the rates of Jordanian university students' usage to the digital social networks, and finding out the factors that influencing the formation of public opinion trends among students, and the level of social networking competition for traditional media adoption as sources of news and information. The two researchers used the descriptive approach by designing questionnaire to survey the views of the students, and gathering facts and information and then analyze it. The study concluded several findings that highlighted the widespread use of social networking among students, and these networks have become a source of access to news and information that would influence the formation of public opinion, and compete with traditional media and online journalism. Some information resulted positively, such as strengthening the national spirit and loyalty, and others negatively, such as an attempt to link current events in the neighboring countries with the internal situation, doubting the credibility of local and semi-official media broadcast, stirring up demonstration or protest or strike, and using the religious factor to provoke the behavior of the community or calling to boycott all activities and events which government urged to.

The present study was designed to select a suitable isolate of Lactobacillus sp. in order to use it as a probiotic formula for treating diabetic foot ulcer disease in diabetic mellitus patients. In order to determine the inhibitory action, 240 isolates of Lactobacillus from different sources, were taken and exposed for screening tests to evaluate the (antagonism-activities) toward 4 multi-drug resistant foot ulcer pathogens which were chosen from 120 pathogenic isolates: Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumonia, Proteus mirabilis, and P. aeruginosa. Twenty Lactobacillus isolates were selected from primary screening according to the capacity to restrain its expansion of four markers, that were exposed toward second screenings to detect their ability to produce a high amount of bacteriocin. Based on the results, the isolate Lactobacillus L40 was selected as the highest bacteriocin producing isolate which was further characterized as Lactobacillus plantarum Next, several tests were performed to study the properties of L. plantarum L40, in particular its biosafety and its suitability to be a successful probiotic. Results showed that L. plantarum was resistant to cephalosporin groups such as ceftriaxone and cefepime whereas, it was sensitive to amikacin and chloramphenicol. In addition, results revealed that this bacterium was strongly adherent and a good biofilm producer; had high auto-aggregation capability and a high ability to adhere with S. Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumonia, Proteus mirabilis and P. aeruginosa. A gel formula containing live cells of L. plantarum L40 was prepared and based on the results, cells were successfully survived in this formula over 18 days. Therefore, it was selected to be utilized as a vector to store and transport viable cells of L. plantarum L40. This gel formula showed antibacterial activity by inhibiting Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumonia, Proteus mirabilis, and P. aeruginosa growth. The results showed the possibility of using viable cells of bacteriocin-producing Lactobacillus plantarum as an effective probiotic to deal with some skin pathogens, and hence treat skin diseases such as diabetic foot ulcer disease.

Throughout history, societies have classified certain forms of sexual intimacy as unlawful in the family setting. These are punishable under religious rules and government status. Incest is sexual intercourse between close relatives. It is a social taboo and can be illegal or in some cases legal depending on the jurisdiction. Genetic Sexual Attraction (GSA) is one of the causes of incestuous behaviour especially between adults. It can also be caused accidentally, where the two partners will not be aware of their biological relationship. Incest effect is an increase in sexualized behaviour and also Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). A prevention of incest is separate sleeping arrangements (i.e., bed separation) of the children between the ages of 5-7 years and above, and teaching children about different kinds of touching which could lead to incestuous behaviours early in life. By implication, sufficient information should be provided for children to prevent incest and counsellors should provide adequate guidance to victims to reduce its threat to family security.

Bone metastases are the main reason for death in males suffering from advanced prostate cancer. This study aimed to create zoledronic acid and graphene oxide conjugation for anticancer therapy. The process of conjugation was confirmed by several characterization methods including UV-VIS spectrophotometry, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), and atomic force microscope (AFM). the cytotoxicity of 400, 600, and 800 μg/ml to each GO, ZOL, and ZOL-GO was evaluated on a human hepatic cell line (WRL 68) and human prostate cancer cell line (PC3) using an MTT assay. The antitumor mechanisms of ZOL-GO were examined by cell cycle analysis. The results demonstrated That ZOL-GO caused a reduction in the cell viability of WRL 68 and PC3, with IC50 values of about 932.9 and 787.9 µg/ml respectively. The cell cycle distribution was evaluated after treating the prostate cancer cells (PC3) with 800µg/mL of ZOL-GO, the results showed the presence of a highly significant arresting effect in the G1 phase (P≤ 0.002) than the untreated cells (control). Our findings demonstrate the potential antitumor activity of using GO as a nanocarrier to improve the therapeutic efficacy of prostate cancer.

Since the deadly infection pandemic episode toward the end of 2019, more than 200 countries have been impacted. One of the most significant impacts of the pandemic that is undeniable is the increase in the intensity of poverty around the world. It is a health sector crisis, and the virus is also causing an economic meltdown. Various nations fall into recession, and more people live beneath the poverty level. The pandemic is causing both health and economic crises. This study examines the potential of Islamic finance in supporting economic recovery in the post-Covid-19 pandemic. The method reviews previous studies, including journal articles, research papers, policy documents, and reports in related fields to support this study. Based on past studies, the study document that Islamic finance via Mudarabah, Sukuk, Musharakah, Qard al-Hasan, Sadaqat, waqf, and Islamic Microfinance has essential to support economic recovery in a post-Covid-19 pandemic in society. In particular, the study found that Islamic finance is positively associated with a reduction in the impact of the pandemic on the people and the whole world economy. The study has added to the body of knowledge by looking at the role of Islamic finance in terms of the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic on the economy and society. The study has implications for the financial institutions, policymakers, and government in terms of adopting Islamic finance products and principles to address the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic crisis on the economy, thereby improving the social well-being of the people and improving the global economy.

The United Nations has intervened in Yemeni affairs since the beginning of the crisis after the outbreak of the Arab Spring revolutions that affected several Arab countries, including Yemen. The 2011 revolution took place against the government of President Ali Abdullah Saleh. There was a political settlement under the auspices of the United Nations and a Gulf initiative by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) that facilitated the transfer of power to new government led by President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi. Yemen enjoys a distinct and vital geostrategic location that affects the movement of navigation and international trade, which makes it the focus of the international community, as Yemen overlooks Bab al-Mandab, which is a route for oil trade between the Middle East and European countries, and any threat to this sea lane is considered a threat to global trade in general. Therefore, it was expected that the international community represented by the United Nations and the Security Council would not allow any threats that would affect the global economy and the movement of trade exchange between its countries, or a coup against state authorities and institutions, and plunge Yemen into a devastating war. Evidence for this is that the Security Council held an extraordinary session in Sana'a in 2013 attended by the President and members of the Council, which carried multiple messages locally and internationally, which reflected the international community's interest in Yemen's security, unity and stability, and its direct sponsorship of a political settlement and the peaceful transfer of power as stipulated in the Gulf Initiative. Epilepsy is one of the most common diseases of the nervous system around the world, affecting all age groups and causing seizures leading to loss of control for a period of time. This study presents a seizure detection algorithm that uses Discrete Cosine Transformation (DCT) type II to transform the signal into frequency-domain and extracts energy features from 16 sub-bands. Also, an automatic channel selection method is proposed to select the best subset among 23 channels based on the maximum variance. Data are segmented into frames of one Second length without overlapping between successive frames. K-Nearest Neighbour (KNN) model is used to detect those frames either to ictal (seizure) or interictal (non-seizure) based on Euclidean distance. The experimental results are tested on 21 patients included in the CHB-MIT dataset. The average F1-score was found to be 93.12, whereas the False-Positive Rate (FPR) average was determined to be 0.07.

Nanomaterials became targeted materials for many important applications due to its huge surface area and quantum confinement effects. In this work TiO2 nanoparticles (30nm) were used as additive to enhance the corrosion protection of steel rebar in artificial concrete solution (Ca(OH)2 (2g), KOH (22.44mg), NaOH (8mg) in 1L of distilled water) against saline environment (3.5%NaCl) at four temperatures; 20, 30, 40, and 50á´¼C. Three different concentrations of TiO2 NPs were used namely; 1, 3, and 5% by weight. The corrosion parameters and pitting probability were followed using Tafel and cyclic polarization plots respectively. Protection enhancement was recorded at all TiO2 percent used and efficiencies of 75-86% were achieved. Using TiO2 NPs reduces but not diminished the pitting hysterias loop area. Internally generated revenue is one the sources of revenue open to the local governments. These revenues are generated within the confines of the local government mostly through services provided to the local population. This source of revenue required some efforts to carryout such as administrative expenses like consultancy fees and stationeries. In the past, little efforts have been geared towards investigating the efficiency of revenue collection and the cost involved, as efficiency is a major criterion in the revenue collection. Therefore, this paper dwells into the relationship between the internal source of local government revenue, and the costs involved in the generation of the revenue to measure the degree of efficiency in the revenue administration. The study used survey questionnaire administered to the revenue section of local governments in North Central Nigeria to seek their opinion on the research question of whether the administrative cost of revenue impacts on the rate of revenue generated. The study applied chi-square statistical method to analyse the result of the questionnaire. From the result, where the null hypothesis was rejected shows that there is a relationship between the rate of administrative cost and revenue generated. Therefore, the study concludes that it becomes necessary for the local government to become more efficient in their revenue generating capacity due to the dwindling nature of funds from the center.
