Extremadura contaba, a principios del siglo XXI, con tan sólo seis productoras audiovisuales que operan en la región de forma regular, centrándose mayoritariamente en el vídeo industrial y la publicidad. Diecisiete años más tarde, aunque siguen siendo pequeñas pymes de alrededor 10 trabajadores fijos que aumentan su plantilla en función de la producción del momento, se ha cuadruplicado el número de empresas de este tipo. La causa de este desarrollo fundamentalmente se debe a la aparición de la televisión pública regional. Metodología: investigación cuantitativa y cualitativa, de corte interpretativa, documental y teórica. Entrevistas. Resultados: los datos revelan que el desarrollo se ha producido de forma controlada y limitada, debido a que estas productoras audiovisuales extremeñas tienen una relación de dependencia con el canal autonómico, es decir, la actividad anual de cada una de ellas, casi en su totalidad, depende de los contratos que obtengan con el ente autonómico.

Currently there are thousands of groups of lobbies of different kinds and background. The lobby is an opaque activity by its very nature, mediated by information management –sometimes in a privileged way– that reduce the democratic handling of actors whohave not been elected by themselves to the position they seat, that is to say, they are more susceptible to the pressures of those who served as their constituents. There is a need to identify persuasive actions in communication and policy that influence, Its decisions are relevant in many ways for the economic, social and territorial interests. ; Actualmente hay miles de grupos de interés o lobbies de distintos tipos y diversas procedencias. El lobby es una actividad opaca por naturaleza, mediada por el manejo de información privilegiada que reduce la maniobrabilidad democrática de actores que no han sido electos para el cargo que ocupan y sectores con poder (político, económico, mediático) y la intervención de factores externos involucrados en los procesos de toma de decisiones y políticas específicas para la primacía de intereses particulares sobre los intereses generales. El lobbista es el intermediario que representa los intereses de las empresas y de las organizaciones empresariales mediante la persuasión y el talento, ya que para poder influir hay que saber persuadir, ante los distintos poderes establecidos gracias al manejo de información privilegiada que poseen.

Análisis histórico, social, religioso y cultural de la realidad de las mujeres afganas más allá del reconocido símbolo identitario del burka, levantándolo y observando la verdadera cara de las mujeres que hay bajo él a través de diferentes fuentes y utilizando el cine como herramienta de conocimiento en discursos y situaciones. Tres películas sirven a este objetivo: A las cinco de la tarde, el filme de Samira Makhmalbaf en el que una mujer afgana intenta por todos los medios lograr su espacio en la política del país; Kandahar, de Mosen Makhmalbaf, donde podemos ver en qué condiciones acceden las mujeres a la salud o conocer la diáspora femenina afgana; y Buda explotó por vergüenza, de la pequeña de la familia, Hana, en la que, a través de una fábula, una niña hace lo imposible por asistir a la escuela. ; This project carries out a historical, social, religious and cultural analysis of the Afghan women's reality beyond the universally recognized symbol of the burka, aiming to lift it and see the true faces of the women hidden behind, using different sources and especially the cinema as a key tool to understand discourses and situations. With that objective in mind, three films are the focus of attention: At Five in the Afternoon (Panj e asr) by Samira Makhmalbaf, a film in which an Afghan woman tries her best to get her own space into the political field of her country; Kandahar by Mosen Makhmalbaf Where we see the conditions under which women's health is treated or discover the female diaspora; and Buddha collapsed out of shame (Buda as sharm forurikht) by Hana Makhmalbaf ―the youngest member of the family― a fable in which a girl tries by all means to attend school.

El Consejo regional del medio ambiente (CRE)1, organismo no gubernamental (ONG) en Québec, constituye una plataforma de legitimación de prácticas de intervención social relacionadas con la protección y defensa del medio ambiente en un contexto de gobernanza cívica ambiental. La noción de gobernanza hace operativa a la teoría de la regulación e inspira el marco teórico de la investigación que propicia esta publicación; otro enfoque también considerado es el de los saberes de la acción. Se aplicó una metodología cualitativa de tipo descriptiva utilizando los métodos de estudio de caso, análisis documental y entrevista. Se detecta nula presencia de profesionales de la disciplina del trabajo social en el CRE, aunque su participación sería muy valorada por los interventores actuales, quienes pertenecen a diversas disciplinas y en sus prácticas cotidianas fungen como interventores sociales. En cuanto a la participación de actores sociales, se identifica una mayor presencia del sector comunitario, dada su compatibilidad con la misión del CRE. Existen también las relaciones de colaboración consensual o conflictual entre actores públicos, privados y comunitarios. En este contexto, la intervención se presenta dentro de un modelo de desarrollo local de la organización comunitaria, aunque algunas manifestaciones del modelo de acción social también están presentes. Existen dieciséis CRE en la provincia de Québec, tres de ellos fueron objeto de la investigación que aquí se presenta: Saguenay – Lac-Saint-Jean, Capital-Nacional2 y Montreal. ; The Regional Environmental Council (CRE), a nongovernmental organization in Québec, constitutes a platform to legitimize social intervention practices related to the protection and defense of the environment in the context of civic environmental governance. The notion of governance is based here on the regulation theory and inspires the theoretical framework of the master research of this publication; the knowledgein- action is another approach also considered. A descriptive qualitative methodology, using a case study, document analysis and interviews, was used. There is no professional presence of social work's discipline in the CRE, even if the participation of these professionals would be greatly valued by the actual professionals of this intervention in the CRE, who belong to several disciplines and make social interventions in their daily practices. Also, it identifies a greater involvement of the community sector given the empathy of this sector with the mission of this ONG. Consensual or conflicting collaboration relationships between public, private and community actors are also presented. In this context, the intervention takes place within a local-development model of community organization, although some ways of social action model are also present. There are sixteen CRE in the province of Québec, three of them were investigated in the research presented here: Saguenay – Lac-Saint-Jean, National Capital and Montreal.

The consolidation of the European Union as a political entity and the articulation of a European Community Law raise certain relevant questions in different fields of law. This research focuses in a particular sphere: the freedom of conscience as object of Law and religion. The relevance of this issue is due to the existence of a double juridical regulation –not necessarily coincident– of the freedom of conscience: the European Union Member States regulations, which consider this subject as part of their respective identities; and the European Community Law regulation. As a result, the legislative harmonization of this subject faces important difficulties, especially as far as the collective dimension of the Right to freedom of conscience is concerned –the individual dimension does not raise major problems–. The referred difficulty is due to the enormous weight of the traditional and historic religions in the different States, which determine in many occasions their legislations. This has a detrimental effect on the secularity of the States, as well as on the rights of minority religious groups, which are the result, to a large extent, of the cultural pluralism arising from immigration. The analysis of these two juridical spaces –State laws and European Community Law– will allow us to assess the implications of a possible legislative harmonization in the future. ; La consolidación de la Unión Europea como una unidad política y su estructuración jurídica ha planteado una seria de cuestiones importantes en los diversos campos del derecho. Este trabajo de investigación se centra en uno de esos ámbitos: el del Derecho de Libertad de Conciencia como objeto del Derecho Eclesiástico del Estado. La relevancia del tema reside en la existencia de una doble regulación jurídica de este derecho, no siempre coincidente: la de los Estados miembros de la Unión, que consideran esta cuestion como parte de su identidad, y la del Derecho Comunitario como derecho supranacional. Con este punto de partida, la posibilidad de lograr una armonización legislativa en la materia plantea indudables dificultades, sobre todo en la dimensión colectiva del Derecho de Libertad de Conciencia, pues el aspecto individual no plantea mayores problemas. La razón de esta dificultad se encuentra en el enorme peso de las religiones tradicionales en los distintos Estados, hecho que condiciona a menudo la legislación de los mismos, en perjuicio de la plena realización de esa libertad, sobre todo para las minorías religiosas, establecidas como consecuencia del pluralismo cultural fruto de la inmigración. Se concibe la literatura como algo más que lo literal y se analizan otras dimensiones profundas como valor espiritual, expresión de la obra humana, de los sentimientos, ideales y desengaño de los hombres La literatura es pues, síntesis del desarrollo cultural de los pueblos, del desarrollo humano y expresión de ese desarrollo Esta modalidad de aproximarse al texto literario a través de lo axiológico es ejemplarizada en el caso cubano.

A caracterización físico-química de sistemas orgánico-acuoso e acuoso-acuoso tomou especial relevancia nos derradeiros anos, á vista das suas propiedades e potenciais aplicacions en sistemas de extracción líquido-líquido e a importancia destas propiedades sobre os procesos de transferencia de materia e de operatividade. No caso dos sistemas orgánico -organico e orgánico-acuoso, utilizanse de forma xeral a nivel industrial para levar a cabo distintas separacions por ser un procedimiento económico e eficaz. Un exemplo dentro das aplicacions dos sistemas orgánico-acuoso é a deshidratación de etanol a partir de biomasa para o seu uso como combustible. O incremento previsible na demanda desta sustancia e a politica ambiental actual, fan preciso unha mellora no proceso de separación do etanol, mediante procedimientos mais economicos e sostibles que os usados ata a data. Nenbargantes, o desenrolo destos procesos químicos alternativos confronta coa dificultade de dispoñer na bibliografía científica de datos termodinámicos adecuados para un diseño óptimo deste tipo de unidades. Por outro lado, nos sistemas acuoso-acuoso, os compoñentes involucrados solen ser xeralmente polímeros e/o sales. É de destacar nas aplicacions destos sistemas o proceso de separación do etanol por microorganismos, mediante disolucions de duas fases acuosas, tamén se utilizan no campo da alimentación, cosmética ou aceites lubricantes entre outros. A presente tese doutoral desenrolou o estudo e a caracterización termodinámica das mezclas de compoñentes implicados en sistemas de extracción líquido-líquido. Caracterizuse estos sistemas en base a analizar as interaccións entre os distintos solutos e disolventes e a sua relación coas propiedades físicas que poden ter influencia sobre os procesos de transferencia de materia. Deste xeito, analizáronse a priori propiedades físicas tales como densidade, velocidade do son e índice de refracción. While everyone recognizes the need for care, not everyone recognizes the multiple realities signified by our use of the term. This volume presents an extended reflection on human dependency and the need for "care" from the perspective of diverse academic and professional disciplines. Our contributors presuppose that "care" is not just a particular kind of academic discourse - whether in the area of feminist ethics or social work - but is rather a developing profession with its own particular challenges. By exploring the different ways in which care is deployed in philosophical and practical contexts, this volume should help readers understand the practical challenges posed by the professionalization of care and the kind of policy approaches that will best promote the delivery of good "care."

AbstractThe Fourth Industrial Revolution based on digitalization, the development of AI, robotics, big data, and increasing automation is dredging up older debates on the end of human work. This article contributes to this debate arguing that these changing circumstances represent an opportunity to advance a renewed consideration of human work. By emphasizing its most distinctively human dimensions, including gratuitousness, relationality, and meaningfulness, we propose the articulation of a social model that recognizes relational goods as a specific contribution of human work in an attempt to overcome the state and the market's monopoly of public life built around the dichotomy between the private and the public. Such a social model is based on the concept of circular subsidiarity, which represents a departure from traditional notions of subsidiarity by promoting a dynamic and reciprocal interplay between three essential societal spheres: the state, the market, and organized civil society, all of which have their role to fulfill by providing security, efficiency, and relational goods. Ultimately, this article suggests that circular subsidiarity can lead to a more inclusive and equitable social model by acknowledging how relational goods not only humanize civil society but also sustain the functioning of both the market and the state.

AbstractA growing awareness of bias in artificial intelligence (AI) systems has recently emerged, leading to an increased number of publications discussing ethics in AI. Nevertheless, the specific issue of gender bias remains under-discussed. How can design contribute to preventing the emergence of gender bias in AI-driven systems? To answer this question, we investigated the current state of AI ethical guidelines within the European Union. The results revealed that most guidelines do not acknowledge gender bias but address discrimination. This raised our concerns, as addressing multiple biases simultaneously might not effectively mitigate any of them due to their often-unconscious nature. Furthermore, our results revealed a lack of quantitative evidence supporting the effectiveness of bias prevention implementation methods and solutions. In conclusion, based on our analysis, we propose four recommendations for designing effective guidelines to tackle gender biases in AI. Moreover, we stress the central role of diversity in embedding the gender perspective from the beginning in any design activity.
