O conceito de Estética Relacional baseia-se em uma construção poética centrada nas relações humanas e sociais e geralmente é pensada fora do ambiente das instituições artísticas. Esta prática ganha força a partir da década de 1960-70 e se destaca na poética de Hélio Oiticica, principalmente na obra Parangolé. Contudo, a conceitualização do tema acontece apenas em 1990 pelo crítico francês N. Bourriaud, que desconsidera o trabalho de Oiticica e foca suas análises em artistas europeus do final do século XX. Por fim, apesar destas intenções poéticas remeterem à década de 1960, elas foram celebradas institucionalmente no cenário brasileiro apenas em 2006, na 27ª Bienal de São Paulo. O artigo busca, desta forma, refletir sobre os desencontros conceituais e as temporalidades distintas que perpassam os três eventos mencionados.

Brown spot needle blight (BSNB), a disease of pine trees caused by the fungus Lecanosticta acicola, has been known in Slovenia since 2008 and in Croatia since 1975. Recent outbreaks in Slovenia prompted this study to compare L. acicola populations in these two neighbouring European countries. Sixty‐nine isolates collected from three pine species (Pinus mugo, P. halepensis and P. nigra) were used to determine the phylogenetic relationships, genetic structure, and reproductive strategy of the pathogen. EF1‐α sequences showed that Slovenian and Croatian isolates share a common ancestry with individuals from central and northern Europe. Population structure analysis revealed four distinct population clusters of L. acicola in these two countries, generally corresponding to their respective geographic location and host. An unequal ratio of mating types and a low overall genetic diversity in the population indicated a strong influence of asexual reproduction. Although some of the oldest recorded European occurrences of BSNB are from Croatia, this study provided no evidence that the population studied in Croatia was the source of the sampled outbreaks in Slovenia. Recent outbreaks of L. acicola in Slovenia are most likely due to introductions from other, yet to be identified, sources. ; Figure S1. Current management practices for hyponatremia (HN) are incompletely understood. The HN Registry has recorded diagnostic measures, utilization, efficacy, and outcomes of therapy for eu- or hypervolemic HN. To better understand current practices, we analyzed data from 3087 adjudicated adult patients in the registry with serum sodium concentration of 130 mEq/l or less from 225 sites in the United States and European Union. Common initial monotherapy treatments were fluid restriction (35%), administration of isotonic (15%) or hypertonic saline (2%), and tolvaptan (5%); 17% received no active agent. Median (interquartile range) mEq/l serum sodium increases during the first day were as follows: no treatment, 1.0 (0.0-4.0); fluid restriction, 2.0 (0.0-4.0); isotonic saline, 3.0 (0.0-5.0); hypertonic saline, 5.0 (1.0-9.0); and tolvaptan, 4.0 (2.0-9.0). Adjusting for initial serum sodium concentration with logistic regression, the relative likelihoods for correction by 5 mEq/l or more (referent, fluid restriction) were 1.60 for hypertonic saline and 2.55 for tolvaptan. At discharge, serum sodium concentration was under 135 mEq/l in 78% of patients and 130 mEq/l or less in 49%. Overly rapid correction occurred in 7.9%. Thus, initial HN treatment often uses maneuvers of limited efficacy. Despite an association with poor outcomes and availability of effective therapy, most patients with HN are discharged from hospital still hyponatremic. Studies to assess short- and long-term benefits of correction of HN with effective therapies are needed.

Dothistroma septosporum, the primary causal agent of Dothistroma needle blight, is one of the most significant foliar pathogens of pine worldwide. Its wide host and environmental ranges have led to its global success as a pathogen and severe economic damage to pine forests in many regions. This comprehensive global population study elucidated the historical migration pathways of the pathogen to reveal the Eurasian origin of the fungus. When over 3800 isolates were examined, three major population clusters were revealed: North America, Western Europe, and Eastern Europe, with distinct subclusters in the highly diverse Eastern European cluster. Modeling of historical scenarios using approximate Bayesian computation revealed the North American cluster was derived from an ancestral population in Eurasia. The Northeastern European subcluster was shown to be ancestral to all other European clusters and subclusters. The Turkish subcluster diverged first, followed by the Central European subcluster, then the Western European cluster, which has subsequently spread to much of the Southern Hemisphere. All clusters and subclusters contained both mating-types of the fungus, indicating the potential for sexual reproduction, although asexual reproduction remained the primary mode of reproduction. The study strongly suggests the native range of D. septosporum to be in Eastern Europe (i.e., the Baltic and Western Russia) and Western Asia.

BACKGROUND: Asthma is among the most common chronic diseases of children in the United States (US). Mold exposures have been linked to asthma development and exacerbation. In homes, mold exposures have been quantified using the Environmental Relative Moldiness Index (ERMI) and higher home ERMI values have been linked to occupant asthma. OBJECTIVE: In this analysis of the School Inner-City Asthma Study (SICAS), we aimed to evaluate the ERMI's applicability to measuring mold in schools compared with home mold levels, and to examine the prevalence of asthma in relationship to students' demographics and the physical characteristics of school-buildings. METHODS: Northeastern US schools (n=32) and homes (n=33) were selected and the 36-ERMI molds were quantified in a dust sample from each classroom (n=114) or home. School building characteristics were collected from SICAS. Asthma prevalence and student demographics data were obtained from government websites. RESULTS: Levels of outdoor Group 2 molds were significantly (p<0.01) greater in schools compared with homes. The presence of air-conditioning in school buildings correlated significantly (P =0.02) with lower asthma prevalence. CONCLUSION: The prevalence of asthma in student bodies is associated with many factors in schools and homes.
