New Elements of the Control Subsystem Design Procedure Based on Digital Solutions
In: Izvestija Jugo-Zapadnogo Gosudarstvennogo Universiteta. Serija ėkonomika, sociologija, menedžment, Band 13, Heft 5, S. 48-58
Relevance. The need to accelerate the creation of new industrial enterprises to compensate for the volume of imported products, the supply of which has stopped since the beginning of the special military operation, turns the design issues of these enterprises into an urgent task. At the same time, this work cannot be carried out on the principles that were adopted in the industrial era, but must carry the innovations that are envisaged by digitalization and components of the "Industry 4.0" concept.Purpose. The article reveals the content of modern digital technologies for building a subsystem of management of industrial enterprises, the consideration of which is necessary in their design.Objectives. In the course of the research, the tasks of developing design procedures for automated enterprise resource management systems, production automation systems and personnel management were solved.Methodology. The research is based on the methods of designing and reforming the main subsystems of industrial enterprises that make up the content of modern concepts of organization and management.Results. As the study showed, in the process of designing an enterprise management subsystem based on digital technologies, it is necessary to perform a number of actions. The main ones are: the definition of business processes that the system should automate, the requirements for the system being implemented; the possibilities of integrating the system with other systems that are supposed to be used at the enterprise being created; additional user training; designing support and development of the system.Conclusions. The use of digital solutions in the design of an industrial enterprise management subsystem makes it possible to create an organization that meets progressive ideas about modern manufacturing business. However, this can only be done by following the recommended technologies.

The Phenomenon of Emmanuel Macron. Book review of 'Qu'est-ce que le macronisme?' edited by E. Fottorino
In: Moscow University Bulletin of World Politics, Band 12, Heft 1, S. 197-208
The book under review is a collection of essays 'Qu'est-ce que le macronisme?' ('What is Macronism'?), published by 'Philippe Rey' in 2018. The reviewer thoroughly considers the structure and the contents of the book. Each chapter represents an essay, an interview or an article by a prominent scholar, a politician or a journalist who present their views on the presidency of E. Macron and prospects for the development of France. The reviewer notes that the general tenor of the book is positive: all authors emphasize high intelligence and ambitions of the French leader, which facilitated greatly his career development from a little-known politician to the head of the state. The reviewer concludes that this popular science edition offers a sufficiently accurate political portrait of E. Macron, provides interesting biographical details and can be recommended for IR scholars, political scientists, journalists, and linguists since it is written in an impressive and elegant French language. The book under review can also prove useful in studying the role of an individual in history.

Social Benefits of Reservation: Mapping Social Mobility and the 'Paying-back' Tendency among the Middle Class
In: Sociological bulletin: journal of the Indian Sociological Society, Band 66, Heft 3, S. 302-315
ISSN: 2457-0257
India's reservation policy targets a wide variety of groups on the periphery of Indian society. Reservations in job are intended to uplift and empower as well as provide the beneficiaries with opportunities for social and economic mobility. A closer look reveals that the policies of the state have not helped the larger Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) masses to improve their lot, but on the contrary, they engendered a microscopic class among the community itself. In this context, the question is: Has middle class been 'paying back' to the needy in different forms? It is found that majority of the members of the middle class were keen to extend help and bring about desired social mobility amongst the members of their community.
