The aim of this study is to defend that economic democracy can be legitimately understood as a form of political justice. To do so, I present a deontological argument for the extension of the democratic rights to the workplace & I defend it against Richard J. Arnesob's utilitarian and liberal criticisms (section 3). However given that I consider that philosophical arguments are context-sensitive, I begin with a brief description of the critical situation concerning the economic and political background of Western consolidated democracies -- a situation that justifies the renewed interest in economic democracy. a situation that justifies the renewed interest in economic democracy (section 1). Then, I analyze the theoretical ambivalences related to the concept of economic democracy. These ambivalences arise from a long background of participative experiences in the workplace, some of them frequently driven by workers, but some others occasionally driven by capitalists or their agents (section 2). ; Boilers, in which condensation takes place, are a very competitive technology in Europe due to energy prices, strict government regulations and a public interest in energy efficiency. They operate at high efficiency by capturing some of the latent heat of condensation, and a large amount of the sensible heat of combustion. When natural gas is combusted, only a very small amount of pollutants are formed. The products of combustion still contain oxides of nitrogen and sulfur as well as carbon dioxide and water vapor. Nitrogen oxides are typical by-products of combustion air, and sulfur is present at very low concentrations as odourant compound added to natural gas. Condensation of these products yields an acidic solution which contains concentrations of nitric and sulfuric acids. Therefore, flue gas condensate becomes increasingly corrosive at surfaces of the condensing heat exchanger after it is concentrated by repeated condensation and evaporation. When the surface temperature is below the dew point of the multicomponent mixture, condensation occurs. Therefore, Vapor-Liquid Equilibrium models such as the Van Laar and Uniquaq models were required in order to determine the dew point of the mixture for a pressure of 0.17 bar. For the binary system HNO3/H2O,the dew point is 56 °C. For the binary system H2SO4/H2O it is 115 °C. In this work, the condensation of nitric acid, sulphuric acid and water vapor in the presence of air on a vertical water-cooled plate has been investigated. A simulation model has been developed and experimentally validated using measurements from a test rig. This simulation model can be applied to a given heat exchanger design in order to perform parametric studies and geometric optimization with the goal of minimizing corrosion. A numerical simulation using the comercial CFD code FLUENT, and a simulation based on empirical correlations using the Engineering Equation Solver EES have been carried out for a 2D vertical water-cooled plate. The numerical model was applied to real 3D geometries including an annular fin heat exchanger and a pin fin heat exchanger. By comparing the numerical simulation with the simulation based on the empirical correlations, the accuracy is very good for almost all range of combustion powers as well as average temperature surfaces. For a combustion power of 8 kW, the deviation between both simulations is about 8 %, whereas for higher combustion powers the deviation decreases until 1-2 %. These discrepancies are due to the way in which the diffusion coefficient has been obtained. In the numerical simulation the diffusion process is taken into consideration by using the Maxwell-Stefan equation for multicomponent mixtures. By this equation, the non-idealities of the mixture are considered whereas in the simulation based on the empirical correlations the mixture is considered as ideal. The discrepancies between experiments and simulation are in a range 7-25 % depending on the combustion power and the average surface temperature of the plate. The highest deviations correspond to the smallest average surface temperature of 20 °C. Dropwise condensation takes place, and the drops grow very quickly and they range from 1 to 3 mm. Vortices take place between the drops making the gas stream more complex as it is usually and there is no equation taking this behaviour into consideration. The results obtained from the numerical simulation applied to real 3D geometries closely resemble experimental observations.

; he main objective of this article is to identify the hegemonic perspective on social mobility studies, the political assumptions of this, and present an alternative. This alternative would allow us to use the social mobility concept but regarding the study of the social class structuring processes. Particularly, we try to show how both alternatives have different explanations for social inequality on Latin American societies. A synthesis of the functionalist vision is presented, in association with the interpretative and political inferences that emerge from it. Then, an alternative proposal that allows us to consider social mobility in the field of class structuring processes, in which social policies have a key role by promoting different gradients of income distribution, with regressive or redistributed effects on class inequality. Class paths appear as the concept that joins these processes within a relational view of social classes.

; Social stratification refers to the distribution of different positions in a society, based on unequal distribution of property and services. It makes social inequality inherent component of it and one of social mobility its determinants. This complex process between inequality and mobility is a characteristic of modernity and its "freedom" in the double sense of political and legal means of production. This "social question" has opened the debates on how to respond to it. The following article try to review these debates, particularly around the way people found to plan their daily and family life "conditioned" paradoxically this double freedom. Eventually this situation re-builds perceptions of uncertainty and risk about it. So, the objective is to rethink the contribution of these theoretical approaches to analyze the processes of social mobility in general, and stratification in particular, as a result thereof. As we know the pattern of social mobility that fits a society, we can think the underlying social structure when it comes to social inequality, in their study, social classes become visible. It thus seeks to contribute to the knowledge of social inequality from a perspective that allows re-build the space to explain and predict the maximum number of differences between a given set of subjects. ; Fil: Pla, Jésica Lorena.
