This paper attempts to demonstrate the relationship between sustainability and vernacular architecture, being focused on a specific research carried out in the old part of Moratalla, a town in Murcia (Spain). This study has been possible thanks to the collection of 265 field records with in situ data so that quality and quantity can be measured. All these are distinctive parameters of vernacular architecture of the centre in the middle ages, what teaches us an important lesson of how traditional construction is environmentally friendly and sustainable, thus leading to more practical bioclimatic architecture. The current study relies on an agreement between the catholic university of Murcia (ucam) and the town council of the aforementioned town (moratalla), what gives an idea of its importance. Some recommendations have been included at the end of the paper to be taken into account by municipal legislation so that our building heritage can be preserved and maintained.

This study deals with the assessment of heavy metals contents in soil of Serbia in urban and rural environment. Analysed heavy metals (Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Mn, Ni, Pb, Zn) were determined using an atomic absorption spectrometry. Concentrations of Co, Cu, Ni and Zn at some sampling sites of urban environment exceeded the limit values, which are still far from the remediation values established by Legislation of the Republic of Serbia. ; Physical chemistry 2016 : 13th international conference on fundamental and applied aspects of physical chemistry; Belgrade (Serbia); 26-30 September 2016

Abstract: This work sought to provide new evidence on the impact of the Brazilian Unemployment Insurance Program (Programa Seguro-Desemprego) on the reinsertion wages of its beneficiaries, considering the Brazilian rural environment. Datafrom the National Household Sample Survey (Pesquisa Nacional por Amostra de Domicílios- PNAD) of 2015 was used, as well as the Sharp model discontinuity regression method. The results showed a positive effect on the reinsertion wages of individuals who participated in the Unemployment Insurance Program in rural Brazil. When disaggregating by Brazilian regions, the Southeast region had a greater positive effect on reinsertion wages, while the Midwest region has a negative effect on workers who participated in the Unemployment Insurance Program. Among the main conclusions, it is a fact that the Unemployment Insurance program had a positive effect for Brazilian formal rural workers residing in the Southeast of the country, but a negative effect for those residing in the Center-West region of Brazil.
