The works of Michel Foucault exert influence in various areas of the humanities. The same thing happened in organization theory, Foucauldian where ideas are being used primarily to bring new light to the discussions about power in organizations. Despite the significant influence in the area, there are discussions about the works of Michel Foucault are being used. This dissertation aims to systematize the studies that used the ideas of Michel Foucault in organization theory, problematize them and indicate some directions for developing this type of analysis. In general, we find that the academic production in the theory of organizations based on the writings of Michel Foucault deal mostly of disciplines and leave out other aspects of analytical power. Moreover, we realize that there is an adoption of simplified analytical power of an indiscriminate and a junction of concepts and notions from different epistemological matrices, besides the inadequacy of the term "postmodern" to classify the works of Michel Foucault and its uses in organizational theory. As possible developments, indicate the possibilities of analysis that can be opened in organization theory by using the notions of biopolitics and governmentality.

An independent Croatia is now a reality and soon to become a member of the European Union. For that matter we also have states of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro and Kosovo. And the Former Soviet Union has broken up into its constituent republics. Could we then see similar developments in the Arab world? As someone who has lived in the Balkans and the Middle East, and served the United Nations in both regions, I would not rule it out. Adapted from the source document.

Michael Mann is best known, in International Relations (IR) circles at least, for his two-volume work, The Sources of Social Power, an attempt to chart & assess the development of world-historical development from 'the beginning' to the twentieth century. But Mann's career, which spans over four decades, also encompasses forays into state theory, militarism, empire, fascism, ethnic cleansing & globalisation. The interview covers these various strands of Mann's work & examines some of the methodological issues involved in conducting macro-level historical sociology & interdisciplinary work. In this interview, Wendy Espeland and Michael Sauder both reflect on their work on rankings, reactivity and commensuration, and think about the implication their sociological work could have on the practices of those dealing with rankings and their reactive effects.

In this work I accept as an axiom that literature is a source of reflection and teaching of law. In this regard, I use a literary account of von Kleist, Michael Kohlhaas, to ask myself about the relationship - in the German novel - between the legitimacy of a government and the action of civil disobedience. In addition, I wonder how the moral character of an agent, in this case Kohlhaas, can lead to a tragic situation.

The current scientific vocabulary is one vocabulary among others . . . there is no need to give it primacy, nor to reduce other vocabularies to it. ~Richard Rorty, Consequences of Pragmatism, p. 142 Interesting philosophy is rarely an examination of the pros and cons of a thesis. Usually it is . . . a contest between an entrenched vocabulary which has become a nuisance and a half-formed new vocabulary which vaguely promises great things. ~Richard Rorty, Contingency, Irony, and Solidarity, p. 9
