The scientific works of Milan Brdar, dedicated to scientific and philosophical criticism, are analyzed in this paper. Brdar starts from the fact that in a technologically and politically changed society, scientific thought about society must take new paths. Instead of a critical theory of society, the new paradigm, in his opinion, is critical rationalism. Also, the term ?daily engaged science? is considered. In that part of his scientific work, Brdar demonstrates how one thinks scientifically about current political events.

State/civil society interaction in Botswana displays patterns characterised by mutual criticism in each other's presence, the willingness of state officials to meet and exchange views with non-state leaders, and the media's role of reminding the contestants to meet and exchange views. The Botswana political culture compels/constrains contestants to meet and exchange views rather than to disengage and resort to the trading of unpleasant remarks in the media and to industrial action on the street. The theoretical implication is that political culture vitally shapes state/civil society interaction and should not be ignored by researchers who seek to define/characterise strong/weak civil societies.
A criticism of the procedure which results in appropriations acts must proceed from some premises regarding the function of Congress and the nature and use of the budget process. This criticism is based on the assumption that it is not the function of Congress to govern, but instead: (1) to indicate wants, (2) to institutionalize the giving or withholding of consent, (3) to bring political conflicts toward resolution, (4) to provide a forum for the formation and expression of public opinion, and (5) to act as a court of final review in which the actions of the government may be scrutinized, controlled, and checked. All of these functions are thought of as being performed in the broadest policy sphere, the application of policy to particular matters being left to the executive branch. The whole function of Congress, so conceived, is to make value judgments in matters of widest concern.Budgeting is commonly regarded as a method of setting down, item by item, the estimated component costs of an undertaking in order to arrive at an estimated total cost. At the same time, budgeting is also used as a technique for securing managerial control over expenditures; by requiring that funds be spent according to a budget, it is possible, if the budget is sufficiently itemized, to control the spender in minutest detail. While these uses of budgetary procedure are by no means excluded, it is the premise of this paper that the primary purpose of budgeting ought to be to achieve the most desirable allocation of funds among alternative uses, and over time.
The text deals with the term "critical thinking", so popular in today's educational theories and even amongst philosophers. If a critic should be radical, they should be consistent, in this case, meaning that one who insist on critical thinking should subject the critical thinking itself to criticism. The hypothesis is that this term is logically inconsistent but also problematic in a broader philosophical, metaphysical, and anthropological context. Namely, we will try to show that this currently fashionable term "critical thinking "is the result of an overarching "scientism" dominant in the interpretation of the world and especially in the interpretation of human and social phenomena. The notion of "critical thinking ", in our opinion, is a direct result of today's predominant scientific culture derived from the capitalist, economic logic that reduces the world to statistics and thus a human being to an exclusively rational being. Human nature is far more complex than a rational calculus needed just to improve productivity in economic processes. This reductionist logic, unfortunately, also became omnipresent in today's philosophical culture.
"This book questions how feminist beliefs are enacted within an artistic context. It critically examines the intersection of violence, gender, performance and power through contemporary interventionist performances. The volume explores a host of key themes like feminism and folk epic; community theatre; performance as radical cultural intervention; volatile bodies; and celebratory protests. Through analysing performances of theatre stalwarts like Usha Ganguly, Maya Krishna Rao, Sanjoy Ganguly, Shilpi Marwaha and Teejan Bai, the volume discusses the complexities and contradictions of a feminist reading of contemporary performances. A major intervention in the field of feminism and performance, this book will be useful for scholars and researchers of gender studies, performance studies, theatre studies, women's studies, cultural studies, sociology of gender and literature"--
