Der Beitrag führt in einen Sammelband ein, der am Beispiel ausgewählter Autoren die Rolle von Autorschaft im Spannungsverhältnis von Religion und Politik untersucht. Dabei wird gezeigt, wie politische Funktionen und religiöse Semantiken interagieren und ein Verständnis von postsouveräner Autorschaft konstituieren, das den Autor als Funktion seines Werks begreift. ; After the 'death of the author' in the 1960s, the 1990s have seen the 'return of the author'. The article is the introduction to an anthology of essays that investigates the role of literary authors in the interaction of religion and politics. It looks at how political functions and religious semantics collaborate and create a notion of post-sovereign authorship that sees the author as dependent on his/her work.

The author considers arts (on the axis between the author-work-perceiver) as various forms of understanding and misunderstanding at the same time. The misunderstandings have several causes (cultural, religious, political, social, personal, artistic, aesthetic) and complicate or transform the way of perception and understanding of artworks and produce what the author calls "hushing" or shading aesthetic and artistic qualities of the work. The inability of recognize aesthetic qualities of an artwork complicate its aesthetic effect on the recipient and causes various forms of hostility towards art as a creation and against specific works of art and their authors.

How can we improve security in the immense area of the fifty-seven participating states of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (osce)? The author addresses this question by appealing to the Final Report and Recommendations of the Panel of Eminent Persons on European Security as a Common Project. This Report is full of insights, and much of it is seen by the author as an honest account of the events and policies that divide osce countries. On the basis of the final report, the author offers twelve concrete recommendations that may promote trust in the osce area.

In this autoethnographic essay, the author explores her struggles and desires to learn about her life prior to adoption. She portrays her journey to search for her beginning pieces of her adoption narrative by an assessment of "narrative inheritance" (Goodall, 2006), attempts to reframe her adoption narrative, and reflects on how her adoption narrative changed over a period of time. The author highlights major events of her search and provides meaning and understanding to her experience. The author concludes by providing her reflections of her search and attempts to redefine her adoption journey and what it means to be an adoptee.

In this paper the author considers aspects of interconnection of activity of the social formations and functioning of state institutions, which, according to the author, cannot be considered outside the public system. The author also points out that on the contemporary stage of development in Russia, the legislator, by isolating all existing theories in aspects of public opinion and public control, has carried out legal reforms in this area. It is necessary, in its turn, to point out that by capturing the global trend of democratization of the state and law, Russia is taking a number of legislative acts that contribute to the partial disclosure of human potential.

How to keep users has become the most desirable knowledge to social network site (SNS) managers. In the current study, the author proposes a user's SNS continuance model by incorporating the information system continuance model and the impression management theory. The author finds that a user's actualization of the hoped for possible self and perceived informativeness of an SNS are two critical factors that can significantly positively influence the user's perceived usefulness of the SNS, perceived enjoyment on the Web site, and his or her SNS continuance intention. The author suggests that these findings provide several practical implications to SNS management and development.

In this article, the author examines the problems of Ukrainian modernization policy, in the context of which the author has analyzed the correlation of endogenous and exogenous factors, with specific reference to the socio-cultural component in the modernization process. The problem of rebirth of national cultural traditions has been foregrounded, with particular emphasis on the retraditionalization of state political system playing the key role in the process of further reformation of all spheres of public life. On the basis of retrospective analysis, the author discusses the advantages and disadvantages of the Ukrainian modernization process. Through personal narrative, the author shows the experience of new motherhood by juxtaposing a social science relationship researcher role with middle-class cultural expectations of mothers. Autoethnographic scenes of the exhaustion of juggling expanding roles and cultural advice about what being a good mommy means with anxiety about being a bad mother help the author question (spank) entrenched mommy myths. The author uses poetic inquiry and personal narrative as forms to acknowledge, examine, and potentially alter the complex reality that although a mom might like and love her child, she might be anxious and abhor the prescribed role of being mommy.

In the article, the author suggests an approach to the conceptualization of modernization problems that interprets them in the light of intercultural interaction. This approach helps particularly clear up the limits and framework of westernization specifying and making more precise the typology of modernization. In applying the approach to the analysis of Japanese modernization, the author brings about a hypothesis concerning mechanisms of cultural adaptation. These mechanisms contributed to reproduce some segments of Western pattern of modernization without destroying indigenous form of rationality and values. The author also makes an attempt to single out a set of basic ideas of such mechanisms in Japanese spiritual tradition.

Much is written about group supervision in other health care fields; however less attention is paid to this topic in social work. This lack of scholarly attention became obvious to the author when he attempted to begin supervising students in groups and was unable to reference a suitable model or template of group supervision from which to gain ideas or direction. The author therefore decided to develop his own model of group supervision. The following article gives an account of how the author developed this model by critically appraising the relevant policy and theory from a local and national perspective to inform his practice.

The Author pointed out the variety of factors that need to be taken into account when estimating effectiveness of this institution. Indicating the problems troubling the EU Author pointed out how Polish Presidency became coordinator of many meeting what was tremendous logistical tasks. The final element of the treatise was the analysis of opinions formulated inside Poland – their character was predictably determined by political bias.

The author reviews Frank Pommersheim's book, Broken Landscape: Indians, Indian Tribes, and the Constitution. The author finds the book a deserving read because it recognizes that Indian law, when used thoughtfully and appropriately, can substantially assist the Indian peoples in their self-determination efforts. However, contrary to Pommersheim's suggestions in his introduction that Indian law's role is to ultimately free the Indian peoples from their dependency on the federal government, the author suggests that instead the Indian peoples themselves -- and not lawyers, courts, or legislatures -- must decide when, and if, they will choose to exit their present state of dependency on the federal government.

Current research has argued that direct legislation makes democracies better by helping to encourage better democratic citizenship. In this study, the author tests whether these effects are conditional on the diversity of the electorate. Theoretically, he argues that policy making by majority rule will create conflict because of the perceived threat of large numerical minorities by majority groups. The author hypothesizes that in areas of greater diversity, democratic citizenship socialization effects can be mitigated, especially as it relates to trusting strangers. Using pooled data from the American National Election Study, the author demonstrates the diversity conditional effects of ballot initiative context on generalized trust.

The author discusses the failure of the canonical search and matching model to explain the cyclical volatility in the job finding rate. The author - the Nobel Prize winner in economics in 2010 - shows that job creation in the model is influenced by wages in new matches. He summarizes microeconometric evidence and finds that wages in new matches are volatile and consistent with the models key predictions. Therefore, explanations of the unemployment volatility puzzle have to preserve the cyclical volatility of wages. The author discusses a modification of the model, based on fixed matching costs, that can increase cyclical unemployment volatility and is consistent with wage flexibility in new matches.

The author reports the results of a survey on global compensation management practices in multinational firms, most of them headquartered in continental Europe and the United Kingdom. The study focuses on whether decisions on different compensation and benefits issues in these firms are taken at a headquarters or at the regional, business unit or country/local level. In addition, the author provides more qualitative information on the degree to which the respondents are satisfied with the decision-making process as well as their concrete suggestions for improvement. Finally, the author deals with the question of whether centralization or decentralization is the preferable option.
