Le Tribunal Civil de Troyes a rendu, le 22 avril 1891, un jugement dont les considérants nous paraissent de nature à devoir être signalés à nos lecteurs.Nous n'avons rien à dire du procès auquel il a mis fin et qui avait été intenté par l'Association des dames françaises à un journaliste, M. Devisme, pour lui avoir fait du tort par des allégations mensongères publiées dans le «Propagateur de la Champagne.» Nous ne voulons retenir de cette cause, comme nous l'avons dit, que l'énoncé d'une partie des motifs sur lesquels le tribunal s'est fondé pour condamner le défendeur.

La Société suisse de la Croix-Rouge tient son Assemblée générale chaque année dans une ville différente de la Suisse, afin d'intéresser ainsi successivement tous les cantons à son œuvre et à ses travaux. La Société a pris naissance dans une assemblée constitutive, tenue à Olten le 25 avril 1882. Depuis lors, des assemblées annuelles publiques se sont réunies à Lucerne, le 3 décembre 1883; à Berne, le 8 décembre 1884; púis, après une interruption occasionnée par diverses circonstances, la Société s'est de nouveau réunie le 22 novembre 1886, à Aarau.

This 22 page booklet contains the text of Governor Reuben Wood's message to the 50th General Assembly on January 5, 1852. The 21st governor of Ohio, Wood (1792 or 1793-1864) was a Democrat and served from 1850 until his resignation in 1853. Wood opposed the fugitive slave laws, though he did not condone violence by those seeking to evade them. During his administration, a new Ohio constitution was adopted and legislation was passed to put the constitutional changes into effect. Before becoming governor, Wood was elected to the Ohio State Senate and the Ohio Supreme Court.
