This research is a qualitative descriptive study, which is aims to analyze how tourism development in the Osing Kemiren Traditional Village using a SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity and Treats). This research shows that the strength of the tourism object in the Osing Kemiren Traditional Village has the potential for a panoramic view of the village which is still beautiful, the availability of interesting events, cleanliness, good facilities and infrastructure and community friendliness. The weaknesses of the Osing Kemiren Traditional Village, the lack of clean water available in the toilets, the lack of a security and supervision system, and low human resources. Opportunities for the Osing Kemiren Traditional Village, cultural preservation of the surrounding community, opening jobs, government policies, availability of information on tourism objects on the internet and social media. The threat of the Osing Kemiren Traditional Village, the number of competitors and the development of competitor tourism facilities. From the SWOT diagram, it can be seen that the research results show that the intersection point (2.38: 2.37) is in diagram I. So, the right strategy to be applied in the tourism development strategy of the Osing Kemiren Traditional Village is to support the policy (Growth Oriented Strategy).

ABSTRACT This research aims at describing the professional practices of Primary Health Care teams regarding rapid tests for STDs. It follows a descriptive study under a quantitative approach; participants include 18 municipalities, 94 Basic Health Units, and 100 staff teams working on Family Health Strategies. The sample was composed of the managers and the staff members directly involved in the testing, while the variables included adhesion to the tests and factors regarding the testing process. Data collection was performed in loco through a semi-structured instrument. Rapid tests were offered by 93% of the teams, 78.5% offering the tests to any users. In 89.2% of the staff teams, the nurse was solely responsible for collecting tests; 55.9% of members did not feel confident about reporting on a positive result, while 63.1% of those who considered the community health agent the main form of outreach assessed their performance as inadequate. Treatment against syphilis accounts for 50.5%. There is fair adhesion to testing by part of the staff teams; the focus on the nurse, however, leads to an increase in their workload, highlighting their protagonism, leading to a reflection on professional practices and paving the way for different realities to be further investigated

Generally, teaching English as a foreign language (EFL) at elementary, secondary, and university levels in Ecuador focuses primarily on applying teacher-centered approaches or on merely following up on the English textbooks' scope and sequence. There is much emphasis on developing grammar skills, practicing isolated concepts, and studying different realities depicted in commercial textbooks while neglecting students' real interests and needs. These traditional practices have created conscious and unconscious conditioning in students, and a significant number of instructors think that English learning is contingent upon grammar rules and the repetition of irrelevant and unnecessary notions, which results in low student academic performance. This descriptive study proposes the use of reading as an educational tool for improving the English teaching and learning process. The researchers applied five reading comprehension tests, three related to General English and two to Academic English, and a confidence level in reading comprehension questionnaire to 37 A1/A2 English third-level university students. Measures of central tendency and variability were used for data analysis. Results show significant improvements in understanding and analyzing texts, high confidence levels for reading in English, and better overall language learning. We suggest making replicas of these didactical practices in other courses offered at the university level.

Water literacy has become a fundamental aspect in today's society, as its conservation, preservation and management is key to ensuring human survival. The purpose of this paper was to analyze the effectiveness of flipped learning methodology on a traditional training practice in water literacy at the first level of secondary education. The flipped learning method consisted in providing the contents to the students before the class sessions, encouraging an active learning. A descriptive study was adopted with two experimental groups, two control groups and only post-test. An ad hoc questionnaire was used as an instrument to measure the parameters: Socio-educational, Motivation, Interactions, Autonomy, Collaboration; Deepening of contents; Problem solving, Class time and Ratings. The final sample was composed of 120 students, divided into four groups of 30 students each. The application of the treatment in the experimental groups lasted 10 sessions of 55 min. The results indicate that the use of time in class, the autonomy and the deepening of the contents were the aspects that improved most with the flipped learning approach. However, no significant differences in ratings were found. Abstract Food allergies are reproducible adverse reactions mediated by specific immunological mechanisms that occur in sensitive individuals after consumption of a certain food. It is recommended that the allergic person excludes from the diet the food that triggers the allergic reactions. In Brazil, the Collegiate Board Resolution nº 26 of July 2, 2015, establishes the requirements for mandatory labeling of the main foods that cause food allergies, by implementing the use of alerts. The objective of this work was to verify if food labels in Brazil comply with this resolution. This is a cross-sectional descriptive study carried out at the Ezequiel Dias Foundation from July/2018 to September/2018. The compliance of food labels was investigated according to the requirements for mandatory labeling of the main foods that cause allergies, regulated by CBR 26/2015. The results showed that 12.13% of the analyzed foods did not contain the allergy alert. In addition, 31% of the samples used precautionary allergen labeling, due to possible cross-contamination by an allergenic food. People who have food allergies benefit from advances in food labeling. However, much still needs to be done to ensure that legislation is duly complied, in order to improve the quality of life of allergic people.

Brexit is a term used to explain about the departure or withdrawal of Great Britain from the European Union. Brexit is a very important political development of recent political scenario of Europe. It has its impacts on the economic and political future of both UK and EU. The UK is enjoying membership of the EU from the beginning. But in mid of 2016 a referendum was held in UK to decide whether they should remain in EU or exit. The British people decide in favor of exit with a simple majority of 51.9%. After that referendum British Prime Minister David Cameron resigned and new general elections were held in 2017. Since the referendum the UK and EU are negotiating on an exit deal and the UK is due to leave the union on 29th March 2019. It will have its dimensions and implications. There are voices rose demanding a new referendum on the issue because many British people think that the Brexit is not good for UK. There are pro EU voices in European countries who also wish UK to remain part of this community. In this descriptive study 'impacts of Brexit on UK' has been discussed and economic and political dimensions have been observed by the researchers.

Objective: A major public health challenge in Australia is the lack of national adolescent abortion data. This descriptive study identifies, collates and describes publicly available adolescent abortion data in high-income countries including Australia, to describe trends over 10 years and provide recommendations for strengthening data collection. Methods: Data were extracted from publicly available government sources that met inclusion criteria. All relevant adolescent abortion data from 2007 to 2017 were extracted from datasets and analysed. Results: Eleven high-income countries were included. Incidence data for the adolescent population were available for all countries and states. Incidence of adolescent abortion over 10 years shows a downward trend in all countries. Gestational age at time of abortion was the second-most available variable. The level and type of data across all countries varied; there was a lack of age range standardisation and aggregation of gestational weeks differed, making comparisons difficult. Conclusion: A minimum data set of standardised abortion information will enable appropriate adolescent abortion policies and services to be developed that are informed by high quality, up-to-date intelligence. Implications for public health: Availability of data affects government's ability to adequately monitor national adolescent health outcomes and plan and evaluate appropriate reproductive health policy and services.

INTRODUCTION Our aim was to ascertain how the anti-smoking legislation of 2005/2010 has affected the behavior of primary healthcare center (PHC) personnel (medical and non-medical) with respect to their attitudes towards tobacco, its consumption and the legislative changes. METHODS We conducted a multi-center descriptive study of a randomized conglomerate sample of PHC personnel from each Autonomous Community in Spain. The questionnaire covered tobacco consumption, and knowledge/attitudes towards smoking and legislation. The statistical analysis used SPSS software. RESULTS The sample consisted of 2040 PHC employees (1578 women, 77.4%). Never smokers, ex-smokers, and smokers represented 46.7%, 37.8%, and 15.5% of the sample, respectively. Tobacco prevalence amongst physicians and nurses was 12.3%. Following the introduction of the anti-smoking legislation, a decrease in consumption was observed. Most of the participants considered that tobacco consumption affected health, was an addictive illness, and passive smoking had an impact on the health of non-smokers. Whilst 91.6% agreed with the current legislation, only 25% felt that it encouraged cessation. CONCLUSIONS Spanish primary healthcare professionals have a relatively low prevalence of smoking compared to the general population. It is necessary to implement more legislative measures to improve and maintain this outcome.

The data in this paper are related to the research article entitled "Development of a government continuous quality improvement procedure for assessing the provision of bone anchored limb prosthesis: A process re-design descriptive study" (Frossard et al., Canadian Prosthetics & Orthotics Journal, 2018. 1(2). p. 1–14). This article contains quality of life data experienced by individuals before and after implantation of a press-fit or screw-type osseointegrated fixation when fitted with conventional socket-suspended and bone-anchored limb prosthesis, respectively. This specifically-designed survey was developed and administered by Queensland Artificial Limb Services (QALS), an Australian State government organization. It was an integrated part of QALS′ continuous quality improvement procedure for assessing the provision of bone-anchored prosthesis. A total of 12 out of the 65 consumers completed to the survey, giving a return rate of 18%. This benchmark information can contribute to inform the design of (A) other patients' experience surveys including those built-in governmental continuous quality improvement procedure as well as (B) clinical trials looking at the overall effects of surgical implantation of ossoeintegrated fixation on patients' quality of life. BACKGROUND: Commuting accidents might have serious consequences for the health of workers, in addition to considerable financial impacts on the national health system and the social security administration. OBJECTIVE: To describe the epidemiological profile and calculate the incidence of commuting accidents in Brazil in the period from 2009 to 2016. METHODS: Retrospective and descriptive study with time series analysis (2009-2016) based on official secondary data obtained from Social Security Statistical Yearbooks. Information on the economically active population was retrieved from the National Household Sample Survey. Annual incidence rates were calculated per 100,000 economically active population. Simple temporal linear regression analysis was performed with software Statistical Package for the Social Sciences. The significance level was set to p<0.05. RESULTS: The epidemiological profile of workers involved in commuting accidents corresponded to men, aged 20 to 29 and with leg/ankle fractures, which represented 24.78% of the total population of involved workers. The incidence of commuting accidents increased from 88.17 to 105.88 in the analyzed period, which represents an variation rate of 20.08% (R(2)=0.715; p=0.008). CONCLUSION: The detected rise in the incidence and number of commuting accidents point to the need for the government to formulate prevention plans targeting high-risk groups.

Abstract
Although cancer disparities among American Indian (AI) women are alarming, research on spiritual coping among this population is virtually nonexistent. This is particularly problematic, given the importance of medical practitioners' discussing the topic with cancer patients, along with the centrality of spirituality to many AI patients. The purpose of this article was to explore AI women cancer survivors' spiritual coping with their experiences. Using a community-based participatory research approach, this qualitative descriptive study included a sample of 43 AI women cancer survivors (n = 14 breast cancer, n = 14 cervical cancer, and n = 15 colon and other types of cancer). Qualitative content analysis revealed that most participants (76 percent, n = 32) cited prayer as an important part of their cancer recovery and coping strategies. Many participants expressed how prayer and spirituality connected them to family, to faith communities, and to others. In addition to prayer, over a third (36 percent, n = 15) of participants emphasized faith as a recovery and coping strategy. Results indicate that most women drew great comfort, strength, hope, and relief from their spiritual and faith traditions, indicating that religious and spiritual practices may be an important protective factor against the strain of the cancer experience.

AbstractGrowing older in rural areas can be challenging since access to support from others can be difficult. I conducted an exploratory descriptive study, framed by exchange theory, in rural Appalachian North Carolina in the United States over the course of a year with 16 rural elders with physical limitations and 8 of their supporters to determine how and why they constructed their networks of support. I conducted a total of 50 interviews. Through the analysis of interview data a theme regarding the important role of the exchange of food emerged. For this group of rural elders, food is both given to and received from others. The giving of food to others helps to rebalance exchanges where elders are receiving a good deal of support. In addition, food is exchanged for reasons that move well beyond nutritional needs. Food is used to initiate and support social exchanges, as expressions of kindness and neighborliness, and as a way to share abundance. Results expand on our understanding of the role of food exchanges in the lives of rural elders and expand exchange theory to include the motivations behind exchanges as an additional component of the theory.
