Spaces of refuge represent the paradoxical encounters between a series of governmental forces, disciplinary knowledge, aesthetic regimes and spatial conditions that tend to arrest, fix in time and space forms of lives. Considering the fact that camps are meant to be the materialisation of a temporal status, spatial and political, the proposition posed by Benjamin Gray's Citizenship as Barrier and Opportunity for Ancient Greek and Modern Refugees, to look at "citizenship-in-exile" practices in ancient Greece and their forms of "improvised quasi-civic communities", is welcome as it is refreshing. This short response engages with Gray's text, addressing two different but interconnected points: in one respect, I hope to rescue Agamben's work from its linear reading by commenting on the depoliticization of the camp and the critique of its exceptionalism; and, in another, I wish to provoke reflection around the universalising claim of hospitality and full assimilation, by introducing the disruptive terminology of inhabitation. This critical insertion aims to redefine an ethical relationship with the space, as a space of and for life, that Agamben sees as the basis for a new ethics, reversing its status as a productive and active force where the camp, in its paradigmatic reading, and the form of life it generates, helps to think beside the exceptional and move to inhabit such indistinctions.

In 2012, North Mali was riven by an armed insurrection. The rebellion was led by the National Movement for the Liberation of Azawad (MNLA), a mostly Tuareg armed organization, allied with Islamist elements. Its aim was the secession of the Northern territories of the country and to claim the independence of Azawad. Throughout the different phases of the crisis, the MNLA always remained a key actor, being able to reshape its political and military strategy in order to adapt to the evolution of the situation. In this context, France played a capital role. French authorities contributed to giving a new political legitimacy to the Tuareg insurgents, despite strong opposition of political élites in Bamako; the Tuareg insurgents de facto exploited France, leveraging its security interests in pursuit of their own political goals. Examining the agency of insurgent actors in Kidal allows outlining the power relationship with the state institutions and the attempt of consolidating a system of informal rebel governance.

ABSTRACT
This study analyzes data from online learning platforms in introductory financial accounting, and highlights three key findings. First, online learning resources linked to course assessment are more negatively associated with cramming study habits and more positively associated with final exam performance than are resources made available for self-study. Second, dynamic online learning resources (i.e., utilization of auditory and visual channels for processing information) made available for self-study are more positively associated with final exam performance than are static resources (i.e., visual channel only). Third, in-class attendance displays a strong positive correlation with online time on task in a blended learning environment. Based on these findings, this study offers some pedagogical strategies that accounting educators can adopt to adjust their blended learning environment.

ABSTRACT
This article discusses how accounting instructors can adopt whiteboard voice-over (WBVO) video technology as a supplemental resource in traditional classroom designs or as an integral resource in a flipped or online classroom design. WBVO technology can facilitate a blended learning classroom design by allowing instructors and/or students to create short videos that can be posted in a learning management system or public domain. The benefits of utilizing WBVO technology are analyzed through the lens of variation theory, and include (1) providing students with additional instructional design materials to increase learning opportunities, (2) aiding instructors in focusing on the "process of learning" as opposed to the "product of knowledge" in order to make it easier for students to learn, (3) developing instructional design resources that are unique to the classroom learning environment to reduce the unintended consequences of adopting third-party materials that may have been designed for different learning objectives, (4) freeing up class time for active learning activities that focus on higher-order cognitive skills, and (5) reinforcing a student-centered learning environment. Observations from the classroom provide some preliminary empirical evidence to support the efficacy of utilizing WBVO technology to create instructional design materials.

This paper addresses the issue of disciplinary devices used during Argentina's dictatorship (1976-83). The study is developed through the analysis of a regulation factory. This is a key to understanding the set of practices and actions that were experienced in the factories from the coup piece. The study of the regulation, despite only deal with industrial issues, is presented as a set of ethical and moral rules to follow daily. Is based on the hypothesis that the regulations put in analysis was a "galateo", or label, that is a compendium of moral rules and behavior. The paper investigates the process of discipline that, from the nineteenth century, lived in the occupied factories and directed by the military. The study of that discipline process addresses an underlying theme: the daily life of the working class in an authoritarian context. ; Este ensayo aborda el tema de los dispositivos disciplinarios utilizados durante la última dictadura argentina (1976-83). El objeto de estudio se desarrolla a través del análisis de un reglamento de fábrica. Éste es una pieza fundamental para entender el conjunto de prácticas y acciones que se vivieron en las fábricas a partir del golpe de Estado. El estudio del reglamento, a pesar de ocuparse únicamente de asuntos industriales, se presenta como un conjunto de reglas ético-morales a seguir cotidianamente. Se parte de la hipótesis que el reglamento puesto en análisis fue un "galateo", o etiqueta, es decir un compendio de reglas morales y de comportamiento. La ponencia indaga el proceso de disciplinamiento que, a partir del siglo XIX, se vivió en las fábricas ocupadas y dirigidas por militares. O estudo da regulamentação, apesar de lidar apenas com questões industriais, é apresentado como um conjunto de regras ético-morais a serem seguidas diariamente. Baseia-se na hipótese de que o regulamento de análise foi um "galateo", ou rótulo de etiqueta, isto é, um compêndio de regras morais e comportamentais. O artigo explora o processo de disciplina que, a partir do século XIX, foi vivido em fábricas ocupadas e dirigidas pelos militares. O estudo desse processo de disciplina aborda um tema subjacente: a vida cotidiana da classe trabalhadora em um contexto autoritário.

Os trabalhos de natureza biomédica que tratam da Doença de Parkinson, embora detectem nela o que entendem como problemas de linguagem, pouco os enfocam de um ponto de vista discursivo. Tivemos como objetivo, analisar em quais momentos do discurso de um sujeito parkinsoniano e de um sujeito sem lesão neurológica mudanças de orientação de sentido, marcadas por hesitação, estariam mais presentes. Para desenvolver o trabalho, analisamos amostras da atividade enunciativa desses sujeitos e selecionamos o tipo hesitativo em questão. Encontramos momentos de deslizamentos para contextualização correspondentes a 25% para o sujeito parkinsoniano e a 60% para o sujeito controle e, nos momentos de deslizamento de tópico para subtópico, encontramos uma porcentagem de 23% para o sujeito parkinsoniano e de 2,0% para o não-parkinsoniano. Uma interpretação possível para essa disparidade é a de que a diferença de condição enunciativa (parkinsoniano/não-parkinsoniano) esteja afetando o controle dos sentidos por parte do sujeito parkinsoniano.

In the Project P16901-G06 sponsored by the FWF, Camillo Sittes writings will be published for the first time in a "critical comprehensive edition", scheduled for six volumes. The basis for this edition is provided by the "Sitte Nachlass-Archiv" which is owned by the Technical University, Vienna. The writings of volume one consist of Sittes publications in the field of art criticism and the applied arts. Those writings have been, in most cases, shorter publications in newspapers and journals which are difficult to access today. The unpublished and undated autograph "Faust, Fliegender Holländer und Meistersinger" as well as one letter to Richard Wagner from 1873, which is not contained in the Sitte archive, supplement his writings in the field of art criticism. The writings in the field of applied arts throw a new light onto the work of Camillo Sitte as director of vocational schools (i.e. Kunstgewerbeschulen), who elsewise is predominantly known as urban theorist and urban planner only. Those wrintigs give testimony to the political ambitions to foster the applied arts in the k. u. k. monarchy around Rudolf Eitelberger von Edelberg. They comprise almost all areas of arts and craft, ranging from traditional and local trades to the beginnings of industrial production. The writings in the field of art criticism derive mainly from Sittes early time in Vienna and document the vivid debates on the question of art between historism and emerging modern currents like secession, impressionism and expressionism. Furthermore, this thematic field contains a series of writings on Richard Wagner's conception of art which illustrate Sittes own apprehension of art, as it will have impact especially on his chief work, "City Planning According to Its Artistic Principles" from 1889 (vol. 3 of this edition). Michael Mönninger and Wolfgang Sonne / Ruth Hanisch put these texts into context, inform about the current state of research and establish connections to others of Camillo Sitte's fields of activity, which will be documented in the volumes of this edition to come. Furthermore, there is an extensive essay on the biography of Camillo Sitte by Michael Mönninger. Editorial work is done by Sonja Hnilica and Bernhard Langer. The Editors are Klaus Semsroth, Michael Mönninger and Christiane C. Collins.

Examines the "jus in bello" prohibition against injuring and killing innocents; argues that only individuals who actively and directly engage in conflict may be classified as combatants, only "unjustifiable combatants" waging a war of aggression can be targeted, and all others are noncombatants. Noncombatants include the aggressor nation's military, political elite, munitions workers, and others; issues include morality, self-defense, national defense, and retribution.
