Im vorliegenden Aufsatz werden die kurdischen Proteste in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland von 1979 bis 2000 als ein Beispiel für die Transnationalisierung bzw. Europäisierung des kurdischen kollektiven Handelns untersucht. Die kurdischen Aktivitäten wurden mit Hilfe einer Protestereignisanalyse (PEA) erfasst und gleichzeitig wurden deutsche Printmedien im untersuchten Zeitraum kontinuierlich ausgewertet. Die zentralen Fragen der Studie lauten: Inwieweit haben die kurdischen Protestakteure den Zugang in die deutsche massenmediale Öffentlichkeit gefunden? In welchem Maße haben sie durch ihre Aktionen neue politische Opportunitäten geschaffen? Welche Veränderungen haben im Hinblick auf die Protestformen, Forderungen und Adressaten der Protestakteure stattgefunden? Es werden zunächst die allgemeinen theoretischen und kontextuellen Rahmenbedingungen beschrieben, wobei drei einander ergänzende Theorien sozialer Bewegungen den Hintergrund bilden: die rationalistische, die strukturalistische und die kulturalistische Perspektive. Nach einer kurzen Erläuterung der methodischen Vorgehensweise werden dann die empirischen Ergebnisse im einzelnen dargestellt und daraus einige Schlussfolgerungen gezogen. (ICI2)

This book focuses on the concept of "brand hate" and consumer negativity in today's digital markets. It explores the emotional detachment consumers generate against valued brands and how negative experiences affect their and other consumers' loyalty. In today's world, it is almost impossible not to run into hateful language about companies and their brands in digital consumption spaces. Consumer hostility and hate is not hidden and silent but is now openly shared on many online anti-brand websites, consumer social networking sites, and complaint and review boards as a result of the Internet's democratic architecture. The book defines consumer brand hate and discusses its dimensions, antecedents, and consequences as well as the semiotics and legality of such brand hate activities based on current brand dilution arguments. Bir yerleşimin tarihini yapıları üzerinden okumak mümkündür. Tarihte yaşanan değişim ve gelişimlere bağlı olarak kentteki yapılar da çeşitlenir, ihtiyaca binaen farklı yapı tipleri ortaya çıkar. Bu çalışma, İstanbul'un Rumeli yakasındaki Boğaziçi semtlerinden Bebek'in tarihsel gelişimini, bu gelişim sürecinde inşa edilen, yıkılan ve dönüşen yapılarını yazılı ve görsel arşiv belgeleri üzerinden değerlendirmeyi, bu bağlamda İstanbul'un tarihine katkıda bulunmayı amaçlamaktadır. Devlet Arşivleri belgeleri, eski haritalar gibi bu bölge için daha önce ele alınmamış kaynaklar kullanıldığından, çalışma özgün nitelik taşımaktadır. 16. yüzyılda, Osmanlı padişahlarının sayfiye yerlerinden biri olan Bebek'teki en önemli yapı, Bebek (Hümayûnâbad) Kasrı olmuştur. 17. ve 18. yüzyıllarda Bebek'in sahil kısmına yalılar inşa edilmeye başlanmış, 18. yüzyılın ilk çeyreğinde cami, mektep, hamam ve çarşı ile tipik bir Osmanlı mahallesi olan Bebek Mahallesi kurulmuştur. 19. yüzyılda Tanzimat ve Islahat fermanlarının getirdiği yeniliklerle, ulaşım, haberleşme, savunma yapıları, gayrimüslimlere ait dini yapılar ve eğitim yapıları Bebek'te yer almıştır. Zaman içinde, değişen devlet ve şehircilik politikaları, gelişen teknoloji gibi sebeplerle bölgedeki yapı çeşitliliği azalmış olup günümüzde bölge, çoğunlukla eğlence sektörüne ait mekânlardan ve konutlardan oluşan, İstanbul'un elit semtlerinden biridir. Mevcut tarihi yapılarının korunması, Bebek'in kentsel belleği açısından büyük önem taşımaktadır.
Ülkelerin diplomatik düzeyde güç sahibi olabilme çabalarına ilişkin tartışmalar Uluslararası İlişkiler alanında önemli bir yer tutmuştur. Güç, en temel anlamı ile bir devletin bir başka devlet üzerindeki etki durumu olarak elen alınmaktadır. Güçlü olan devletlerin bir diğeri üzerinde etkin olabilmesi, istediği neticeyi alabilmesi ve hatta uluslararası sistemi biçimlendirebilme durumu güç kazanmanın yol ve yöntemleri hakkında birtakım çalışmalar gerektirmiştir. Bu çalışmalar, hangi güç unsurları ile güç elde edebilmenin mümkün olduğuna dair tartışmaları ortaya çıkarmıştır. Askeri kapasite, ekonomik durum, enerji üretimi, diplomasi, çelik üretimi, coğrafya gibi konularda avantajların gücü ne derece etkilediğine dair çalışmalar yapılmış ve matematiksel denklemler aracılığı ile sayısal olarak ifade edilmiştir. Böylelikle birçok farklı güç denklemi ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu çalışmada öncelikle güç kavramı detaylı bir biçimde incelenmiş, ardından bir siyasetçi olarak Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan'ın hayatı ve savunduğu hak anlayışına dolayısıyla da kuruluşuna öncülük ettiği Kalkınan 8 Ülke (D-8)'e üye ülkelerin uluslararası düzeyde güç kazanabilmeleri ve uzun vadede uluslararası sistemi biçimlendirebilme gücünü elde edebilmelerine ilişkin düşünceleri ele alınmıştır. Mevcut dünya düzenini "ezen – ezilen" düzeni olarak tarif eden Erbakan, ekonomik işbirliği aracılığıyla kalkınma, kendi ihtiyaçlarını karşılayabilme, bağımlılığı azaltma ve neticede güç kazanımı ile bu düzenin değişmesi idealini ortaya koymuştur. Bu ideali İslam Birliği düşüncesi ve vizyonu ile İslam ülkelerinde bir fikri dönüşüme sebep olmuş ve sonuç olarak D-8 kurulmuştur. Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan'ın büyük manalar yüklemiş olduğu D-8'e üye ülkelerin genel durumu ortaya koyularak Wilhelm Fucks'un "güçlü olmanın yolunun çelik üretiminden geçtiği" düşüncesi ile öne sürdüğü güç denklemi referans alınmış ve referans alınan güç denklemi ışığında D-8 ile dünya ekonomisinde ilk sıralarda yer alan muhtemel dört rakibi ile verileri karşılaştırmalı olarak hesaplanmış, ardından analiz edilmiştir. Çalışma kapsamında yapılan hesaplama ve analizler sonucunda denklemin değerleri olan çelik üretimi ve enerji tüketimindeki artışın güç denklemine yansımaları ve D-8'in güç denklemi sıralamasında öne geçmesi için çelik üretimine dair adımlar atması gerektiği görülmüştür. ; The endeavors of countries for gaining and holding diplomatic power have been widely discussed within the field of International Relations. The concept of power in its essence refers to the effect of one country over another country. The fact that a powerful country may become effective over another one, that it may acquire the desired results out of an event, and even that it may shape the international system have required studies on the methods and practices realized to gain power. These studies have brought out the discussions about which elements of power enables the countries to gain power in the international arena. Many studies have been carried out on how and to what extent the power is affected by military capacity, economic status, energy generation, diplomacy, steel production and geographical characteristics, and the results have been shown in quantitative data through mathematical equations. As a result of this, there are many different power equations utilized in the field. This study firstly analyzes the concept of power in detail, and then continues with the life story of Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan, a political figure, whose sense of rights guided the foundation of the Developing Eight (D-8). In this regard, the study focuses on the ideas of Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan regarding the power gains of the D-8 member countries, and thus their potential capacity to shape the international system in the long run. Erbakan, describing the current world order as consisting of "oppressor-oppressed", suggests the objective to change this order through development by economical cooperation, self-sufficiency, less dependency on other countries, and thus gaining power. This ideal, along with the Islam Union ideas and vision, has caused an ideological change for the Islam countries, as a result of which D-8 has been founded. After presenting the overall statement of D-8 member countries, highly appraised by Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan, this study bases its discussions on the power equation by Wilhelm Fucks proposed on the grounds that "being powerful equals to steel production." In the light of this reference equation, the data acquired from D-8 and its four potential rivals, which are lead countries in terms of world economy, are comparatively calculated, and then analyzed. The calculations and analysis carried out within the framework of this study have demonstrated how the increase in steel production and energy consumption is reflected on power equation, reaching to the conclusion that D-8 is required to take further steps in steel production in order to move up in the power equation rankings.
Legal culture is defined as a way of describing relatively stable patterns of legally oriented social behaviour and attitudes. Adapting legal culture is possible, while the adapted legislation makes a shift in the social reality, especially in transition to democracy. As social behaviour depends on other elements, such as historical and cultural backgrounds of a society, the reaction for the legal adaption may differ from one country to another. So, the legislation in two countries may be the same; but the interpretation and the implementation of the law may be different. As tax norms also have an economic aspect, factors effecting the results of the tax law adaption may be historical, cultural and also economic. Adapting legal culture is more comprehensive than transplanting legal mechanisms and importing other legal systems, it is not only translating legislation but also creating a differential fitness; a different aspect of rights and principles of law design. As tax law includes social norms as well as financial norms and is a multidisciplinary branch of law, the adaption of tax law needs justification of perceived fairness and common understanding of basic law principles and rights. If the perception of law is different, the interpretation of law may create a sui generis version of the adapted law. In this article, the question to be answered is how the historical, cultural and economic factors differ adapted tax systems in practice by the interpretation of law.
This study aims to assess the use of complementary and alternative medicine with respect to illness perception, among individuals with chronic diseases. The sample of this descriptive and cross-sectional study comprises 350 patients with chronic diseases, who have applied to a governmental hospital in Giresun province of Turkey. Questionnaire form and illness perception questionnaires have been used for data collection. During the analysis of the data; frequency, percentage, t test and Kruskal Wallis variance analysis have been utilized. The mean age of the patients is 6016.09. 47.1% of the patients declared that they use complementary and alternative medicine methods. It is found that the patients who use complementary and alternative medicine have significantly higher illness duration, personal control, and treatment control subscale scores (P0.05) where these are the subscales of the illness perception. According to the results of the study; knowing that the illness is of long duration, the will to have personal control over health and to control this long treatment period; complementary and alternative medicine methods are used by the patients
