PATRIMONIO CULTURAL ALIMENTARIO ENTRE EL ORGULLO Y EL PREJUICIO
In: Revista Andaluza de Antropología, Heft 24, S. 101-119
ISSN: 2174-6796

In: Il politico: rivista italiana di scienze politiche ; rivista quardrimestrale, Band 255, Heft 2, S. 134-158
ISSN: 2239-611X
Re-fashioning stories through feminist filmmaking, an interview with Samita Nandy
In: Journal of applied journalism & media studies, Band 10, Heft 2, S. 229-243
ISSN: 2049-9531
To conclude this Special Issue 'Re-Fashioning Stories for Celebrity Counterpublics' of the Journal of Applied Journalism & Media Studies (AJMS), I am delighted to share an interview with Samita Nandy, celebrity scholar, filmmaker and director of the Centre for Media and Celebrity Studies (CMCS). Her research focuses on the cultural dimensions of fame, with a specific interest in celebrity activism, storytelling and the performance of authenticity and intimacy in glamorous narratives. In addition to her academic work, Nandy is also a certified broadcast journalist from Canada and media critic. I had the opportunity to assist her and Kiera Obbard with the organization of the 8th CMCS Conference, which inspired this Special Issue. This interview is thus an opportunity to further expand our reflection on the political possibilities of storytelling and celebrity counterpublics. Our discussion builds on the themes and arguments developed throughout this issue to further explore what popular storytelling means in practice. She reflects on her engagement with celebrity culture and life-writing in her feminist research and artistic endeavours, and how it has empowered her to tell personal and collective stories. The interview format and its themes provide a unique opportunity to contemplate the affordances of a reflective practice paradigm and the artistic applications of disciplinary knowledge, one which bridges academic work with media professions, and which we hope will resonate with AJMS readers.

George L. Mosse and Christian Religious Thought in Contemporary History
In: Journal of contemporary history, Band 56, Heft 4, S. 896-930
ISSN: 1461-7250
Today, nobody would consider George L. Mosse as a historian of Christianity. He is well known primarily for his works on the history of fascism, nationalism and racism. However, not only in the first phase of his career, as a scholar of early modern Europe, he was precisely a historian of Christianity, but his contribution to the understanding of Christian experiences and movements in the last centuries, albeit little known, has continued to be extremely relevant. So this article a reflection about Mosse's approach to religion, and especially to Christianity, analyses the main results of his researches on the subject and their development and proposes a final appraisal of his legacy in this field of research.

Retrospective of the State and the politics of childhood. ; Retrospectiva do Estado e da política da infância
Starting from an autobiographical journey with references to certain experiences in the area of childhood, the article analyzes the shifts in the political agenda of the city of Buenos Aires between the 80's and 90's. Upon the return of democracy, early childhood seemed to be among the agenda priorities but was later relegated. In contrast, the "children from / on the street" emerged as a more urgent and visible problem that allowed to confront with institutionalization policies –which were emblematic of the tutelary model–. In addition, those years witnessed the emergence of programs "alternative" to assistentialism and to the aforementioned model, combining socio-educational projects and territorial support networks in critical situations. The article draws from (and is written from the level of ) the implementation of these experiences -diverse in their modalities but with some shared characteristics in terms of their framing and approach- that are usually overshadowed by the dichotomous confrontation between two models (the tutelary and the rights approach) that strengthened that period's agenda towards a normative dispute.
