Abstract

Background and purpose
Employee intrapreneurial behavior (EIB) has become strategically important for organizational performance. Contemporary managers are exploring ways by which EIB can be reinforced and sustained. The purpose of this study is to examine the role of high-performance work systems (HPWS) and knowledge centered culture (KCC) on EIB, and the mediating role of KCC on the HPWS-EIB path.


Methodology
The proposed hypotheses were tested by utilizing the variance-based structural equation modeling approach on cross-sectional responses garnered from individuals working in the Jordanian tourism, travel, and hospitality enterprises.


Results
The analyses yielded robust support for the associations. As expected, HPWS had a direct and significant effect on KCC and EIB. Consequently, KCC did not only impact EIB significantly, but also mediated the association between HPWS and EIB.


Conclusion
This study considers bundle of HR initiatives via HPWS and explores the underlying processes by which EIB is nurtured. Unlike past discoveries that linked HPWS to EIB, this study shows why and how EIB is enabled in an Arabian context. The findings did not only extend past discoveries, but also provide theoretical and practical basis for EIB as an outcome.

In this article, we propose a Bayesian Adaptive bridge regression for ordinal model. We developed a new hierarchical model for ordinal regression in the Bayesian adaptive bridge. We consider a fully Bayesian approach that yields a new algorithm with tractable full conditional posteriors. All of the results in real data and simulation application indicate that our method is effective and performs very good compared to other methods. We can also observe that the estimator parameters in our proposed method, compared with other methods, are very close to the true parameter values.

Four subsurface sections and electrical, porosity logs, and gamma-ray logs of the Khasib Formation (age Late Turonian-Lower Coniacian) were studied to identify reservoir characteristics and to evaluate the reservoir properties of the Khasib reservoir units in the East Baghdad oilfield. The lithology of the formation is limestone throughout the whole sequence in all studied wells EB-83, EB-87, EB-92, and EB94. It is bounded conformably from the top by Tanuma Formation and has a conformable lower contact with Kifl Formation. The lower and upper boundaries of the formation were determined using well log analysis, and the formation was divided into three main rock units (Kh1, Kh2, and Kh3), depending on the porosity logs. The porosity was calculated using acoustic or sonic, neutron, and density logs. The effective porosity (average 0.0 - 0.32 %) is the predominant porosity in the formation and to less extent; the secondary porosity. The volume of shale is very low (average 0.0 - 0.13 %), indicating limestone is the main rock of the Khasib Formation. The study of the reservoir water (average 0.11- 1.0%) and hydrocarbon saturations (average 0.0 - 0.88 %) showed that the formation contains varying proportions and quantities of water and hydrocarbons suspended in the wall void, and hydrocarbons capable of being produced. The lithological study reflected that the predominant lithic formation is limestone. It was found that Kh 2 unit is the best oil reservoir unit in all selected wells in terms of porosity, water saturation, diagenesis processes, and microfacies analysis.

Background: Financial management reforms are vital for enhancing public sector efficiency, transparency, and accountability. These reforms aim to optimize budget allocation, reduce fiscal wastage, and improve governance. Objective: This study evaluates the impact of financial management reforms implemented across public sector institutions in five global regions between 2015 and 2023. Key performance indicators assessed include budget efficiency, financial transparency, and wastage reduction. Methods: A mixed-methods approach was utilized, incorporating quantitative analysis of financial data from 60 public sector institutions across five regions. A total of 180 financial reports were reviewed alongside 30 qualitative interviews with key stakeholders such as finance officers and policymakers. The study employed regression analysis, Difference-in-Differences (DiD), and thematic coding to analyze the impact of the reforms. Results: The results revealed a 19.3% improvement in budget efficiency, with transparency scores increasing by 25%. Wastage across key sectors such as health and infrastructure was reduced by over 50%, particularly in regions like Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. Conclusion: Financial management reforms significantly improved fiscal performance, transparency, and wastage reduction in public sector institutions. However, the success of these reforms depends heavily on institutional capacity and political will, emphasizing the need for continuous support and capacity-building initiatives to sustain progress.

Integration management is a significant factor of success in different types of organizations. Yet, the definition of integration management and ways to measure performance in a comprehensive framework need to be investigated in different environments. This paper analyzes the impact of integration management practices on company performance in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The study uses a questionnaire that was designed with constructs and dimensions following the literature review. The components of integration management are supply chain integration, supplier integration, customer integration, knowledge transfer with customers, and managing knowledge transfer channels with customers. A questionnaire was distributed among organizations in the UAE. Statistical analysis methods were employed to analyze 94 responses, e.g. reliability tests, ANOVA, and correlation analysis. The results show that integration management improves organizational performance to a considerable degree in the UAE. The impact of these practices was positive and significant on the performance of organizations, with an average correlation coefficient of 0.81. The comprehensive assessment for integration best practices and performance and their relationship are done for the first time in the context of the UAE organizations.

The study aimed to identify the role of government school principals in facing the difficulties of integrating students with special needs according to the Special Education Law 2018 within the Green Line from the viewpoint of principals and teachers. As well as revealing the statistical differences in the role of government school principals in facing the difficulties of integrating students with special needs according to the Special Education Law 2018 within the Green Line from the point of view of principals and teachers due to the impact of the variables of gender, educational qualification, years of experience, educational stage, job. To achieve the goals of the study and answer its questions, a descriptive approach was used. The study sample was chosen in a simple random way representing the study community, during the school year 2019-2020, with a rate of 10% of the study community. The study sample consisted of 510 respondents. The results showed that the role of government school principals in facing the difficulties of integrating students with special needs according to the Special Education Law 2018 within the Green Line from the point of view of principals and teachers was large, as the results showed that there was no statistically significant difference at the level of statistical significance α = 0.05 on the role of government school principals in facing the difficulties of integrating students with special needs according to the Special Education Law 2018 within the Green Line from the point of view of principals and teachers according to the gender variable, the experience variable, and the variable of the educational stage. The results showed the presence of a difference according to the job variable, where the differences were in favor of the director category.

Purpose: Youth is considered a crucial period for launching positive health and social behaviours. It is a life stage when young people are experiencing rapid emotional, physical and intellectual changes, and when they begin the transition from childhood to adolescence to independent adulthood. The increasing prevalence of overweight and obesity worldwide urged the authors to study the sociodemographic factors that might work as causal factors for obesity among young Saudi female university students. The study aimed at unveiling the causes of obesity among this group and to find out the association of normal and overweight with socio-demographic variables.Material and Method: A total of 500 female students were participated in this study from February to Novembers 2015. Weight and height were measured to determine the Body mass Index (BMI), the socio-demographic variables were examined by using sociodemographic form. Data was gathered from female students (N=500) enrolled in bachelors program during the period of November 2014-October 2015.Results: The findings of the BMI measurements had shown that there is 54% of the university students were in the normal weight whose BMI is 24 or below and 35% were showing a BMI that is over 24 and were in the range of overweight or obesity.Conclusion: This study concluded that there is an urgent need for guidance of university students regarding a healthy lifestyle and for fostering physical activity and nutrition programs on the campus to reduce and to keep the healthy weight.
