State Regulation of Employee Drug Testing Laboratories

A recent survey by the General Accounting Office reveals that nearly half of the states have no regulation of laboratories thatperform employee drug testing and that only eleven states have specific provisions regulating employee drug testing procedures. Analysis indicates that politically liberal states are more likely to have specific regulatory provisions and that politically conservative states tend to have no regulations at all.
