Workplace accident and disease prevention have been the focus of law-making activity in European Union (EU) since the creation of the common market. In more than half a century, the EU occupational health and safety (OHS) law grew from nothing into the present legal system, experiencing stages of development through the introduction of important European Community (EC) treaties, for example, the Rome Treaty, Paris Treaty, Maastricht Treaty, Lisbon Treaty and other European-wide legal documents such as the European Social Charter 1961, and seven rounds of EU enlargements for the accession of new member states. With these developments, the approaches adopted in EU OHS law are also involving. In the first few decades, a prescriptive approach was dominant until the introduction of the Framework Directive 89/391, which marked the shift towards a goal-oriented approach. In the later development, the evolution in approach also presents a shift towards the social dialogue approach.

This research aims to know of The Legal Politics of Implementing Land Consolidation in Coastal Areas and Small Islands to Improve Community Economic Growth. The formulation of the problem of discussing legal regulation, implementation and constraints and solutions related to land consolidation in the region coastal and small islands. The methodology used is a normative legal nature and is supported by sociological (empirical) and uses the grand theory Von Savigny which is famous for its Volkgeist theory and/or people's souls. The implementation of the consolidation of coastal and small islands land, especially in the District of Rear Padang, Batam City, Indonesia has not been evenly implemented by the Government. It is recommended for the implementation of land consolidation, it must be done by applying the von Savigny theory in question, and in its implementation must be based on the whole value of Pancasila as the basis of the Republic of Indonesia (philosophy of paradigm). The 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia (constitutional of the paradigm) and prioritizing the principle of Indonesia as a legal state (juridical of the paradigm), in order to realize an increase in the economic growth of the community, especially for the coastal areas and small islands.

Al entrar a los predios de la Reserva Biológica Encenillo (rbe), ubicada en la vereda Trinidad del municipio de Guasca (Cundinamarca), pocos se imaginan que allí operó una mina de piedra caliza por más de sesenta años. El cambio de mina a área protegida ha conllevado transformaciones y negociaciones entre las formas locales de uso y representación de los recursos naturales y los usos y discursos de la conservación ambiental. Por su parte, el trabajo en la vereda se ha visto afectado por el cambio reciente en el usufructo de los recursos ambientales y las precariedades económicas del agro en Colombia. Las añoranzas por condiciones laborales más favorables en la época en que funcionó la mina, los reparos por la falta de oportunidades labores en la vereda y los desacuerdos por los usos de los recursos naturales y la apropiación territorial entre los administradores del área protegida y la población local, son los principales problemas que analiza esta obra a partir de un enfoque etnográfico. ; Upon entering the grounds of the Encenillo Biological Reserve (rbe), located in the Trinidad village of the Guasca municipality (Cundinamarca), few imagine that a limestone mine operated there for more than sixty years. The change from a mine to a protected area has led to transformations and negotiations between local forms of use and representation of natural resources and the uses and discourses of environmental conservation. For its part, work in the village has been affected by the recent change in the use of environmental resources and the economic precariousness of agriculture in Colombia. Longing for more favorable working conditions at the time the mine operated, concerns about the lack of work opportunities in the village and disagreements over the uses of natural resources and territorial appropriation between the administrators of the protected area and the population local, are the main problems that this work analyzes from an ethnographic approach.

A modern democratic State cannot imagine itself without parties, with which the idea of representation and its practice in society are deeply connected. The legal regulation of parties and the knowledge of its evolution are problems constantly relevant not only because the democracy itself requires a specific legal status of parties, but also because it defines its characteristics. In this thesis, the parties are analysed in the terms of the history of law, in order to reveal their legal status in the context of the development of Lithuania in the "1918–1940" period, as well as to discuss – from the "pre-history" of parties to Lithuanian independence in 1918 – the differences between Lithuanian political movements and political parties and the reasons for which parties were losing public confidence, the democracy which they were establishing has started to lose popularity inside Lithuanian society and the coup of 1926 has significantly limited the activity of parties and their pluralism, so that the structure of the regime of the State has turned into authoritarianism. In 1940 the regime of occupation of Soviet Union has forbidden all parties except the communist one, in a way that not only has interrupted the development of the democratic regulation of the activity of parties, but also has altered their authentic nature. The historical analysis of political life of Lithuania in 1918–1940 take to the conclusion according to which, even if at the birth of democratic state parties began to raise as interest groups above the public, they – and the representative democracy based on them – have been subjected to crisis of confidence, which, in that time in Lithuania, has ended with the Coup d'Etat of 1926.

"This book traces the evolution of crimes against humanity (CAH) and their application from the end of World War I to the present day, in terms of both historic legal analysis and subject-matter content. The first part of the book addresses general issues pertaining to the categorization of CAH in normative jurisprudential and doctrinal terms. This is followed by an analysis of the specific contents of CAH, describing its historic phases going through international criminal tribunals, mixed model tribunals, and the International Criminal Court. This includes both a normative and jurisprudential assessment as well as a review of doctrinal material commenting on all of the above. The book examines the general parts and defenses of the crime, along with the history and jurisprudence of both international and national prosecutions. For the first time, a list of all countries that have enacted national legislation specifically directed at CAH is collected, along with all of the national prosecutions that have occurred under national legislation up to 2010. By introducing the terms "citizens of the Union", the drafters of the Maastricht Treaty inscribed a new concept in European Union law. The denomination of the new concept coincides with that of national legal concepts and of a concept widely discussed in political theory. More than twenty years later, the legal concept of citizenship of the Union has been widely constructed by the case law of the European Court of Justice. This case law then offers a particularly rich field of study for the development of a new perspective on judicial activity. My thesis proposes an investigation on the judge and the work of legal concepts; that is, an investigation on the practice of the judge – the work on concepts – and on the role of concepts in legal reasoning – the concepts at work. This inquiry should be distinguished from classical studies on the judge, mainly dealing with interpretation, as well as from works focusing on power relations between legal actors. In this thesis, I argue that EU law must be understood in its own terms, through an inquiry on the conceptual practices of the judge and I propose a non-formalist account of legal forms. ; Avec les termes « citoyens de l'Union », les rédacteurs du Traité de Maastricht inscrivent dans le droit de l'Union européenne un concept dont la dénomination reprend celle de concepts juridiques nationaux et d'un concept discuté en théorie politique. Plus de vingt années après son introduction, la citoyenneté de l'Union a en grande partie été construite par la jurisprudence de la Cour de justice de l'Union européenne. Elle offre un terrain d'enquête particulièrement fécond pour développer une nouvelle perspective sur l'activité du juge. Il est proposé de s'interroger sur le juge et le travail des concepts juridiques ; c'est-à-dire sur l'activité du juge – les concepts travaillés – et sur le rôle des concepts dans le raisonnement juridique – les concepts au travail. Cette recherche se distingue tant des études classiques sur le juge, focalisées sur l'interprétation, que des travaux qui se concentrent sur les rapports de pouvoir entre les acteurs. Le droit de l'Union doit être compris dans ses propres termes afin d'entreprendre une enquête sur les pratiques conceptuelles du juge. Ce faisant, la thèse propose une approche non-formaliste des formes juridiques.

In the article viewed some aspects of the legal regulation of the activity of scientific-research publishing houses. It is argued the conclusion that there is a certain legislative vacuum in this sphere and the necessary to adopt a Federal law "On publishing activities". If the publishing house has the status of a structural subdivision of a scientific organization (university, scientific-research institute, etc.), the activity of the publishing house is regulated by a special provision that is a local normative act of organizational-administrative documentation that determines a number of questions in the sphere of regulating of activity of the publishing house. ; В статье рассмотрены некоторые аспекты правового регулирования деятельности научно-исследовательских издательств. Аргументрован вывод о существовании определенного законодательного вакуума в данной сфере и необходимости принятия Федерального закона «Об издательской деятельности». При наличии у издательства статуса структурного подразделения научной организации (вуза, научно-исследовательского института и пр.) деятельность издательства регулируется специальным положением, представляющим собой локальный нормативный акт организационно-распорядительной документации, определяющий ряд вопросов в сфере регулирования деятельности издательства.
