ABSTRACT: Corruption can be considered the oldest form of crime that has accompanied the development of human society so far, and probably a long time from here on. The topicality of the approached topic has its roots in the urgent need to combat this dangerous reality by adopting a fair and stable legislation, without the existence of loopholes to encourage criminal perseverance. In this article we will emphasize the need for legal regulation of the facts and acts of corruption both internally and internationally, as well as the presentation of the methods or tactics that can prevent or, as the case may be, combat these antisocial facts if the function of prevention of the law did not produce the expected effects, such as the search, the hearing of the suspects, the accused and the witnesses, the flagrant or the spot investigation. With its sanction, corruption has also become a legal phenomenon, crossing purely social borders and becoming a source of criminal consequences. Thus, corruption becomes a legal fact, regulated by rules that attract the most serious form of liability in case of their violation. KEYWORDS: crime scene investigation, corruption, flagrant, hearing, investigation, search

Citizens around the world look to the state for social welfare provision, but often struggle to access essential services in health, education, and social security. This book investigates the everyday practices through which citizens of the world's largest democracy make claims on the state, asking whether, how, and why they engage public officials in the pursuit of social welfare. Drawing on extensive fieldwork in rural India, Kruks-Wisner demonstrates that claim-making is possible in settings (poor and remote) and among people (the lower classes and castes) where much democratic theory would be unlikely to predict it. Examining the conditions that foster and inhibit citizen action, she finds that greater social and spatial exposure - made possible when individuals traverse boundaries of caste, neighborhood, or village - builds citizens' political knowledge, expectations, and linkages to the state, and is associated with higher levels and broader repertoires of claim-making
This paper reviews the complex impact of climate change on gender relations and associated vulnerability on the Eastern Gangetic Plains of Nepal and India. Field research has identified that gendered vulnerability to climate change is intricately connected to local and macro level political economic processes. Rather than being a single driver of change, climate is one among several stresses on agriculture, alongside a broader set of non-climatic processes. While these pressures are linked to large scale political–economic processes, the response on the ground is mediated by the local level relations of class and caste, creating stratified patterns of vulnerability. The primary form of gendered vulnerability in the context of agrarian stress emerges from male out-migration, which has affected the distribution of labour and resources. While migration occurs amongst all socio-economic groups, women from marginal farmer and tenant households are most vulnerable. While the causes of migration are only indirectly associated with climate change, migration itself is rendering women who are left behind from marginal households, more vulnerable to ecological shocks such as droughts due to the sporadic flow of income and their reduced capacity for investment in off-farm activities. It is clear that policies and initiatives to address climate change in stratified social formations such as the Eastern Gangetic Plains, will be ineffective without addressing the deeper structural intersections between class, caste and gender.

"Retrieving the older but surprisingly neglected language of household governance, Economy of Force offers a radical new account of the historical rise of the social realm and distinctly social theory as modern forms of oikonomikos - the art and science of household rule. The techniques and domestic ideologies of household administration are highly portable and play a remarkably central role in international and imperial relations. In two late-colonial British 'emergencies' in Malaya and Kenya, and US counterinsurgencies in Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq, armed social work was the continuation of oikonomia - not politics - by other means. This is a provocative new history of counterinsurgency with major implications for social, political and international theory. Historically rich and theoretically innovative, this book will interest scholars and students across the humanities and social sciences, especially politics and international relations, history of social and political thought, history of war, social theory and sociology"--

The aim of the research was to identify a set of discriminatory challenges related to the development and implementation of the concept of transhumanism in a digital society, as well as to develop and justify a system of socio-legal measures aimed at their partial leveling. The main methods employed by research were: the system method, cybernetic and synergistic methods, extrapolation methods, socio-legal modeling, as well as the formal-legal method, the legal-practical method and the case method. The research proposes and substantiates the concept of sociotechnological inequality. It is concluded that there is a mutual conditionality of social (socioeconomic) and sociotechnological inequality. On the other hand, a better socioeconomic situation will also provide more opportunities for technological modifications of one's own body. This may lead to a further deepening of the transhumanist gap, the possibility of which is justified in the research.

Traces the history of a fundamental economic shift that is underway. The shift is rooted in virtualization, a key innovation factor, but when combined with influence networks, the significance becomes transformative. The combined power of these dimensions is creating a new economic paradigm based on return on collaboration metrics rooted in social capital theory. The genesis of this rich transformation is driven by collaboration and social media approaches that began in 2003. Over the next decade, more social engagement tools were added to the growing arsenal of collaborative platforms, many of which continue to change and evolve today. Independently these companies created new ways to perform individual tasks; collectively they change the way we do business. And all of this rapid innovation has occurred in a decade. For some it is hard to believe how much the world has changed in just 10 years. Social Roots is the story of the near magical transformation, written specifically so we do not forget the significance of this decade of leadership in the influence economy. Many of the stories in the first part of Social Roots are about organizations that took the opportunity to experiment and experience the power of social networking approaches to conducting business; and social innovators striving to make the world a better place. Their contributions to creating the influence economy are numerous, and their story of how they achieved success creates a tapestry of insight.
