Water is essential for sustainable human, species and biotic organism in the earth. Sustainability is only possible when we have better resource management particularly water. A better water management has its multiple linkage in economic development and maintaining ecosystems in the state. In Uttrakhand water management is prerequisite as it is reach with rivers and known as "water bank" state for the other state but for its own requirement the water resources have not been evenly distributed and people had to walk kilometers for potable water. Lack of water management people are suffer badly, natural sources are drying up, which in long run having very significant impact on environment and climate change. So, this paper is focused on better water management for hilly area of Uttarakhand.

The financial risk early warning system is important for promoting the sustainable development of enterprise, and in this article, the fish swarm algorithm is applied to it. First, the main financial risk factors of enterprise are summarized. Second, the index system of the financial risk early warning system is constructed based on relating theory. Third, the basic theory of artificial fish swarm algorithm is studied, and the mathematical models are constructed. Then, the wavelet neutral network is improved based on the fish swarm algorithm, and the algorithm procedure is designed. Finally, a simulation analysis is carried out, and the predicting correctness of samples is 100%, and results show that the fish swarm algorithm is an effective method for improving the financial risk early warning system.

Organized crime, along with terrorism, drugs, corruption and cyber-crime remain among the most significant threats to security and co-operation in the osce region. What has been achieved over these years and what else still needs to be done to ensure that organized crime does not hinder sustainable economic and social development in the area from Vancouver to Vladivostok?To effectively defend the human rights of 1.2 billion people living in the region, the osce has to review its anti-crime toolbox from time to time, to strengthen its co-operation with other interested partners and to develop new mechanisms of co-operation among its 57 participating States. This article will focus on the ongoing efforts by the osce to combat organized crime through police co-operation.

One of the sources of electricity used by man is water. Currently the idea of hydroelectric power plants is increasingly appreciated by local governments. Sustainable development and EU directives have required the construction of green power plants. The article outlines the energy situation of the Pomorskie Voivodship. As a result, it was found that more than half of the energy consumed in the region is produced outside its area. Considering the transmission losses, this is a disadvantage. Hydropower installations are increasingly appearing in the voivodship, but there are relatively few of them. The natural and anthropogenic conditions of more than 300 potential hydropower plants have been analyzed. Based on the conducted research, the hydroelectric potential of the voivodship was estimated and the best locations for hydropower were identified.

The proposed approach is based on the adaptation of the Kubin and Stern models by constructing a nonlinear econometric model of the dependence of expenditures logarithm on the implementation of reforms (considering the environmental factor) from the integral indicators: Dynamic shifts, Inclusiveness, Sustainable Development, Adjustment and Worldwide Governance Indicator (WGI). The WGI Kaufman and Krau Index is calculated on the basis of the application of the UCM approach as a general characteristic of the following components: publicity and accountability; political stability and lack of pressure, the effectiveness of the government; quality of regulation, the rule of law, control over corruption.

The bio-based economy will be crucial in achieving sustainable development, covering all ranges of natural resources. In this sense, it is very relevant to analyse the economic links between the bioeconomic sectors and the rest of the economy, determining their total and decomposed impact on economic growth. One of the major problems in carrying out this analysis is the lack of information and complete databases that allow analysis of the bioeconomy and its effects on other economic activities. Governments and nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) have promoted environmental and social certification programs for growers because the market for green certification is seen as offering higher prices and higher incomes. Previous studies have examined how &ldquo ; green food&rdquo ; certification affects economic and environmental benefits, but none have studied its impact on production behavior. In this study we conducted a household survey of 398 randomly selected growers of traditional and green food certified kiwifruit in Xixia county of Henan province, China. The results show that characteristically, green food certified growers can have a significantly higher total cost as well as employed cost compared to the matched noncertified growers. Based on the results, we conclude the potential advantages of green food certified kiwifruit products and basic conditions for its sustainable development.

In the last decades, political policies and collective consciousness focused on the importance of sustainable food and environmentally friendly approaches in agriculture. Distribution of beneficial organisms is a very important factor in integrated pest management, and mechanical release could improve application uniformity as well as reduce costs and working time. Several mechanisation experiences have been carried out through the years, however none of them has still found a massive application in common agricultural practices. This review paper analyses all the efforts made in this direction, by evaluating main strengths and weakness points of manually brought, tractor mounted, or aerial mechanical devices. In this way development opportunities can be identified, in a field that could achieve a substantial role in food production and agricultural activities while respecting the environment and human health.

Sustainability and unsustainability are frequently deployed in discussions of intended, predicted and observed changes occurring in or impacting on Pacific islands societies. Local communities often have their own distinctive understanding of the natural environment. Their concern for sustainability frequently extends further afield – to languages, cultures, and other aspects of life. International agreements and the constitutions of a number of Pacific islands countries address relevant issues. Constitutional government in the region has been remarkably sustained. Sustainable development has diverse dimensions and can be controversial. Climate change and rising sea-levels threaten the very survival of low-lying islands. Harvesting of non-renewable resources raises particular issues. Pacific islands studies have made significant contributions to scientific knowledge and human understanding of issues and processes of wider, even global importance.

This study explores the potential links between specialization in cocoa exports and deforestation in developing nations through the lens of ecologically unequal exchange. Although chocolate production was once considered to have only minimal impacts on forests, recent reports suggest damaging trends due to increased demand and changing cultivation strategies. I use two sets of regression analyses to show the increased impact of cocoa export concentration on deforestation over time for less-developed nations. Overall, the results confirm that cocoa exports are associated with deforestation in the most recent time period, and suggest that specialization in cocoa exports is an important form of ecologically unequal exchange, where the environmental costs of chocolate consumption in the Global North are externalized to nations in the Global South, further impairing possibilities for successful or sustainable development.

The Eastern Partnership (EaP) launched in 2009 as the Eastern dimension of the European Neighbourhood Policy introduced the civil society as a new strategic actor in the EU's relations with Eastern Partnership countries. The civil society?s role is to participate in policy making, to suggest new initiatives and to promote shared values of partnership, such as: democracy, promoting better governance, state law, sustainable development, respect for human rights and for the fundamental freedoms. The paper is divided into two parts. In the first part, we analyse the role of the civil society in the EaP and we ask whether the increasing role of the civil society in the EaP will lead to the success of this project. In the second part, we analyse the perceptions and the attitudes of civil society towards European integration.
