CONSIDERING IDEALISM AND LIBERALISM ATTENTION WILL BE FOCUSED ON THE IDEALISTS' VIEWS ON THREE SETS OF ISSUES WHICH HAVE BEEN IMPORTANT FOR LIBERALS; THESE ARE: THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN INDIVIDUALS AND THE STATE, PROPERTY AND THE SUFFRAGE. LIBERAL WRITERS SUCH AS JAMES AND JOHN STUART MILL, WILHELM VON HUMBOLDT AND ALEXIS DE TOCQUEVILLE WERE PRIMARILY INTERESTED IN THE WELFARE OF INDIVIDUALS, HOWEVER DIFFERENTLY THEY CONCEIVED INDIVIDUALITY TO BE.3 ONE WAY OF DISTINGUISHED VARIOUS FORMS OF LIBERALISM IS IN TERMS OF THE PROTECTIVE AND DEVELOPMENTAL CATEGORIES SUGGESTED BY C.B. MACPHERSON, ALTHOUGH IT IS ARGUABLE THAT SOME LIBERALS THOUGHT OF THE PROTECTION OF THE INDIVIDUAL AS A REQUIREMENT OF A PARTICULAR FORM OF DEVELOPMENT.4 IN WHAT FOLLOWS IT WILL BE ARGUED THAT WHILE GREEN SHARED THE LIBERAL CONCERN WITH THE INDIVIDUAL, HIS CONCEPTION OF PERSONALITY GAVE HIS LIBERALISM A VERY DISTINCTIVE STAMP. RITCHIE AND BOSANQUET, ON THE OTHER HAND, CANNOT BE REGARDED AS LIBERALS AT ALL, SINCE THEY, UNLIKE GREEN, REGARDED INDIVIDUALS AS OF SECONDARY IMPORTANCE.

Published in English for the first time, this is the translation of "Dall'eta cartesiana a Brucker", the second installment of the monumental multi-volume "Storia delle storie generali della filosofia". It follows on from the first volume, translated from the Italian by C.W.T. Blackwell and published by Kluwer in 1993, which covered the subject from its origins in the "Renaissance to the Historia Philosophica". This volume guides the reader from the Cartesian rejection of the 'philosophical past' that found voice in the work of Malebranche, right up to the establi

The article discusses the situation of philosophical education in Russia. After 1991, the teaching of the officially recognized "dialectical materialism" and "historical materialism" in Russia was stopped. Since then, there has been no unified curriculum in philosophy studies in Russia, and the discipline has been significantly changed and extended. Now it includes a variety of philosophical currents that correspond to the general image of this discipline in the world. Nevertheless, there are some distinctive features, which differentiate Russian philosophy teaching from the c of philosophy elsewhere. One significant trait of modern Russian philosophy is the quest for its own identity. This explains the steady and ongoing interest in the history of Russian philosophy and in religious philosophy, which is booming at present. It is also significant that a majority of post-Soviet philosophers still perceive themselves as successors to the scientific ideology in the Marxist sense and regard the working out of a scientific world outlook as their goal. Philosophical schools, such as phenomenology and hermeneutics, are still viewed with suspicion and considered as historical phenomena, which have been overcome a long time ago.
The paper will discuss the complex relationship between different positions in the understanding of philosophy in Russia, against the background of the struggle between conservative and progressive tendencies in Russian politics, culture and economics. The analysis of the mainstream of philosophical re-formation allows us to speak about the "New Epoch of Engineers" and the fall of the "Humanist Thaw".

The choice-empowered customer is now commanding position to the throne, to borrow an expression from military literature, dictating terms and proclaiming kingship. There is no any other way except for bankers to wake up to this emerging reality and realize that, to be competitive. One must necessarily have to be customer focused. For this reason, banker's missions are no longer product, profit or even market oriented, but only focused on customer's supremacy. Technological competence can be a vital support, but marketing knowledge holds the key. In most of the conventional banks the basic strength is the foundations of larger customers for decades that are loyal. The scenario is not going to be the same for long. The entry of foreign banks and emergence of new private banks have brought about certain market scales, which were not present before. Many new novelties like bank expertise, new initiatives, and functional pattern have emerged. There are quite a lot of things to follow in the system and styles of foreign banks. The question therefore boils down to the need to be efficient and quick to understand the changing customer profile and customer requirements. Customer will dominate the market. Bank with full capabilities for developing innovative products structuring and down selling assets, offering floating rates for both loan and deposits has also operating in global foreign exchange markets will be winners. For this propose credit management, product development market research and treasury operations are the thrust areas which could require focused attention.

Abstract
In this paper I distinguish between illustrative and performative uses of artworks in the teaching and communication of philosophy, drawing examples from the history of art and my own practice. The former are where works are used merely to illustrate and communicate a philosophical idea or argument, the latter are where the artist or teacher philosophizes through the creation of art. I hope to promote future collaboration between philosophers, art historians and artists, with artworks becoming catalysts for artistic-philosophical investigation, thus revitalizing the idea of universities embodying ongoing and open-ended conversations.

Islamic thinking is a unique thought, different from the others. Because Islamic thought originates from revelation or relies on the explanation of revelation, while other thoughts that develop among humans, both in the form of non-celestial religions, political and economic ideologies, and social theories simply emerge from the genius of thinking human who gave birth to it.
