For the last two decades, the military research has focused on the improvement of explosive performances, while taking into account their environmental and toxicological impacts. These issues are governed by strict regulations: REACh (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals) to ensure a high level of health and environmental protection.Today, it's a major consideration to develop High Energetic Materials (HEM) or molecules who's hazard on human health and environment are reduced. Thus, in collaboration with Airbus Safran Lauchers (ASL), a research program was set up to obtain optimized tools for predicting the potential toxicity of HEM and to design new non-toxic and regulatory molecules.Different in silico methods have been used, including Quantitative Structure Activity Activity Relationships (QSARs) and Machine Learning.The search for structural similarity among molecules is an innovative tool on which we based our predictions in silico. This similarity is obtained thanks to an intelligent algorithm developed within the Pole Rhone Alpin de Bio-Informatique of Lyon which gave rise to a patent. Um die Ziele der Energie- und Wärmewende zu erreichen, stehen politischen Entscheider*innen verschiedene politische Instrumente zur Verfügung. Auf Basis eines Literaturreviews prüfen wir in einer Fallanalyse für den Bereich Wohnen, inwieweit diese auf ökologische Nachhaltigkeit konzentrierten Instrumente im Spannungsverhältnis zur sozialen Nachhaltigkeit stehen. Dafür werden die Energieeinsparverordnung, Förderprogramme der Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau sowie die Modernisierungsumlage auf ihre sozialen Verteilungswirkungen hin überprüft. Als konzeptioneller Rahmen dient die von Kraemer (2007, 2008) ausgearbeitete Typologie zu sozialen Verteilungsdimensionen von Umwelt. Um zu untersuchen, inwieweit mögliche Verteilungswirkungen an anderer Stelle durch sozialstaatliche Transfers abgefedert werden, wird der Blick abschließend auf die sogenannten flankierenden Maßnahmen in der Mindestsicherung und im Wohngeld gelenkt. Im Ergebnis zeigt sich, dass zur Erreichung der Wärmewende ein breites Spektrum an politischen Instrumenten abgedeckt wird, wobei der Schwerpunkt auf ökonomischen Instrumenten liegt. Insbesondere bei Umweltbelastungen und -entlastungen sind, auch unter Berücksichtigung der sozialstaatlichen Transfersysteme, negative soziale Verteilungswirkungen nachzuweisen. In order to achieve the goals of the energy transition ("Energie- und Wärmewende"), political-decision makers have various political instruments at their disposal. In the area of housing policies, we examine within a case study on the basis of a literature review the extent to which these ecologically-focused instruments are in conflict with social criteria of the concept of sustainability. For this purpose, the regulation for energy savings, funding programs of the government-owned development bank as well as the sharing of costs for modernization between landlords and tenants will be examined. Therefore, Kraemers (2007, 2008) typology of social distributional dimensions of the environment serves as a conceptual framework. In order to investigate to what extent possible negative effects are eliminated by welfare state transfers, we will finally focus on the so-called accompanying measures. As a conclusion, a wide range of policy instruments is used in the field, concurrently identifying a focus on economic instruments. Negative social effects have been detected especially in the field of environmental burden and environmental relief, even taking into account the transfer systems of the welfare state. The concept of bio-economy has emerged to overcome some sustainability challenges, and this involves conversion of agricultural residues and waste streams into high value-added products that can be utilized as ingredients for several bio-based industrial processes, delivering both economic growth, scientific interest and a better environment. The present work was carried out to re-utilize discarded Agaricus blazei Murill. Its nutritional composition was evaluated and ethanolic extracts were prepared by Soxhlet extraction to be further evaluated for their anti-inflammatory, anti-tyrosinase and cytotoxic properties against different tumor cell lines (SRB assay). MTT and LDH assays were also used to determine cell viability and cell death respectively in Caco-2 and HT29 cells lines. Essential nutrients such as carbohydrates, proteins and fat, were found; twenty fatty acids were detected, sugars (mannitol and trehalose), α-tocopherol and oxalic acid were also present. The extracts, up to 100 μg/mL, were able to maintain viability of Caco-2 and HT29 cells. The extracts also presented anti-tyrosinase activity (EC50 1.33±0.02 mg/mL) and with no toxicity in tumor cells. Palu city is the capital city of Central Sulawesi province bordering with Gorontalo Province. Indigenous people who inhabit the city of Palu is a community of Kaili tribe. Only a few studies have quantified and measured ecosystem services (ES) specifically related to soil. To address this gap, we have developed and applied a methodology to assess changes in ecosystem services, based on measured or estimated soil property changes that were stimulated by soil management measures (e.g., mulching, terracing, no-till). We applied the ES assessment methodology in 16 case study sites across Europe representing a high diversity of soil threats and land use systems. Various prevention and remediation measures were trialled, and the changes in manageable soil and other natural capital properties were measured and quantified. An Excel tool facilitated data collection, calculation of changes in ecosystem services, and visualization of measured short-term changes and estimated long-term changes at plot level and for the wider area. With this methodology, we were able to successfully collect and compare data on the impact of land management on 15 different ecosystem services from 26 different measures. Overall, the results are positive in terms of the impacts of the trialled measures on ecosystem services, with 18 out of 26 measures having no decrease in any service at the plot level. Although methodological challenges remain, the ES assessment was shown to be a comprehensive evaluation of the impacts of the trialled measures, and also served as an input to a stakeholder valuation of ecosystem services at local and sub-national levels. ; The research leading to these results received funding from the European Union Seventh Framework Program (FP7/2007-2013) under grant agreement no. 603498 (RECARE project). This article examines one of the most important musical manifestations of Franco's policy of political development: the Festival of Music from America and Spain, which took place in 1964, 1967 and 1970 respectively. These events gave rise to an intense mutual exchange between composers, performers and music critics from various Latin-American countries, the United States, Canada and Spain. The Spanish Regime took advantage of the Festival's importance to promote certain values considered representative of the Spanish tradition.At the same time, its eclectic nature allowed young Spanish and foreign composers to raise their voices during a difficult period for the creation of musical organisms and institutions. Based on the Festival's critical reception, reflected in journals and the interviews published in its concert programs, this article aims to shed light on the mutual musical influences that existed between both sides of the Atlantic. ; Abordamos el estudio de una de las manifestaciones musicales más importantes del Desarrollismo Franquista: el Festival de Música de América y España, celebrado en 1964,1967 y 1970 respectivamente. La importancia del Festival no pasó inadvertida para el Régimen en su promoción de determinados valores representativos de la tradición española. Al mismo tiempo, su orientación ecléctica permitió que jóvenes compositores españoles y extranjeros pudieran alzar su voz en un período difícil para la creación de organismos e instituciones musicales. Apoyándonos en la recepción crítica del Festival, plasmada en publicaciones periódicas y en las entrevistas recogidas en los programas de mano, pretendemos arrojar luz sobre las influencias musicales mutuas habidas entre ambos lados del Atlántico.

This article analyzes the definition and variables own television quality in entertainment programs and tries to establish the concepts to identify the tabloit television. Research on quality television highlight, both in Europe and in the United States, the difficulty in developing common criteria for the analysis or even appropriate to define quality. This is an area where most of the studies are directed to audience research or focus on addressing the quality of the television system as a whole paying little attention to the analysis of the criteria that define it. The results of this research reflect that quality values are replaced by copy formats, violation of democratic rights, low diversity, controversial content, distortion of reality and the rise of irrelevant news. ; Este artículo analiza la definición y las variables propias de la calidad televisiva en los programas de entretenimiento, con el objetivo de analizar la televisión sensacionalista. Las investigaciones sobre calidad televisiva ponen de manifiesto, tanto en Europa como en los Estados Unidos, la dificultad a la hora de elaborar criterios comunes aplicables al análisis o, incluso, adecuarlos para definir la calidad televisiva. Se trata de un ámbito donde la mayor parte de los estudios se dirigen a la investigación de la audiencia o se centran en abordar la calidad del sistema televisivo en su totalidad, prestando poca atención al análisis de los criterios que la definen. Los resultados de esta investigación reflejan que los valores de calidad se sustituyen por la copia de formatos, la vulneración de los derechos democráticos, la escasa diversidad, los contenidos polémicos, la distorsión de la realidad y el auge de las noticias de escasa trascendencia.

A vortical structure occurring at the fuel stream in laminar nonpremixed jet flames was recently found and shown to have both a fluid-dynamic impact on the flow field and a possible influence on the flame stability and soot formation. We designed a systematic experiment and numerical simulation to investigate the physical mechanisms of this recirculation phenomenon in a coflow system. We hypothesized that a negative buoyancy, caused by the fuel jet being heavier than the ambient air, may play a significant role in the recirculation. Therefore, we experimentally varied the density of the fuel jet using a binary mixture of methane and n-butane, and tested the density of the coflow oxidizer by replacing nitrogen with carbon dioxide. Several fuel jet velocities, flame temperatures, and nozzle diameters were also studied to thoroughly investigate all parameters that might possibly affect the recirculation. As a result, we found that our modified Richardson number, which is based on the cold density difference between the fuel and the coflow, the flame length, and the jet momentum flux, explained the physical mechanism of the recirculation well, with Ri ∼60 being the critical value for formation of the recirculation. In this study, novel transparent Er3+ doped glass ceramics were prepared from melt-quenched oxyfluoride glasses with general composition of Na2O-NaF-BaF2-YbF3-Al2O3-SiO2. The crystallization of fluorite (BaF2, BaF2-YbF3, NaF-BaF2-YbF3 and Na0.5-xYb0.5+xF2+2x) and distorted fluorite (rhombohedral Ba4Yb3F17 and tetragonal NaF-BaF2-YbF3) phases was analysed in glass ceramics with different BaF2 and YbF3 ratio. The phase composition and microstructure were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Intense red upconversion luminescence (UCL) was detected under near-infrared excitation resulting from three photon upconversion followed by cross-relaxation between Er3+ and Yb3+ ions. The local environment of Er3+ ions in fluorite and distorted phases was analysed using site-selective spectroscopy. The Er3+ ions were found to act as nucleation centres in the glass ceramics containing BaF2. The phase transition from metastable fluorite to rhombohedrally and tetragonally distorted fluorite phases was detected using Er3+ ions as a probe. --- / / / --- This is the peer reviewed version of the following article: G. Study and design of magneto-optically active single point defects in semiconductors are rapidly growing fields due to their potential in quantum bit (qubit) and single photon emitter applications. Detailed understanding of the properties of candidate defects is essential for these applications, and requires the identification of the defects microscopic configuration and electronic structure. In multicomponent semiconductors point defects often exhibit several non-equivalent configurations of similar but different characteristics. The most relevant example of such point defect is the divacancy in silicon carbide, where some of the non-equivalent configurations implement room temperature qubits. Here, we identify four different configurations of the divacancy in 4H-SiC via the comparison of experimental measurements and results of first-principle calculations. In order to accomplish this challenging task, we carry out an exhaustive numerical accuracy investigation of zero-phonon line and hyperfine coupling parameter calculations. The present research is aimed to determine the management model of excellent schools in instilling religious behavior to the students at state high schools in North Sumatra Province. This research is useful to enrich the scientific paradigm in the field of Management of Islamic Education, especially studies on the management of excellent schools in instilling religious behavior to their students. The research used qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used observation, interviews and documentations. The data analysis used Milles and Huberman model, while the data analysis technique used data triangulation. The data were collected in excellent state high schools in North Sumatra with these following subjects: (1) SMA Negeri 2 Plus Martabe Sipirok, Tapanuli Selatan; (2) SMA Negeri 1Plus Matauli Pandan, Tapanuli Tengah; (3) SMA Negeri 2 Plus Panyabungan, Mandailing Natal. The results of this research indicate that, first: the success of management of excellent schools is influenced by inputs and processes in determining the output and outcome of the students' religious behavior. Second, the management of excellent schools in North Sumatra involves all components of stakeholders, such as foundations, government, and communities, starting from start planning, implementation and supervision and financing. Third, the religious behavior of students in North Sumatra constitutes "aqidah/ Faithful Behavior", namely the students' faith in their religion; "Worship behavior", namely the act of religious rituals in schools; "Almsgiving behavior", as seen in discipline, cleanliness maintenance, mutual assistance in pluralism; "Ihsan/ Good Deeds Behavior", namely the students' sincerity in worships and almsgiving; "Knowledge Behavior", namely the students' knowledge of the teachings of their religion. Fourth, the management of excellent schools in North Sumatra in instilling the students' religious behavior, that is integrated in the humanistic learning approach system, full-day school and boarding school programs.

As with other organizations, Higher Education Institutions concerned with environmental performance require tools to help develop appropriate policies and programs. Key Performance Indicators are typically a component of economic and financial decision-making. Defining Key Performance Indicators for relevant environmental aspects of an institution can be seen as a step toward integrating environmental issues into overall management. In this paper, a methodology is proposed to define environmental Key Performance Indicators for Higher Education Institutions with a robust Environmental Management System (International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certified or Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) verified), and this methodology is coupled with a validation system based on meta-performance evaluation indicators. The proposal is based on the relative significance of various environmental aspects and the degree of operational control that an organization has over each aspect. The methodology is developed to be easy to applied, minimum time and resource consumption) and integrate in an existent Environmental Management System. It starts with a standard procedure to define the organization allowing its application to any type of Higher Education Institution. Additionally, a list of over 140 environmental indicators, described and classified, is offered. An environmental unit, Escuela Politecnica Superior de Alcoy (EPSA), of Universitat Politecnica de Valencia, EMAS verified, is used as a case study. From the study, seven Key Performance Indicators are defined, and three of these are fully assessed.
