International audience ; The Yogyakarta Principles for the application of human rights to sexual orientation and gender identity define gender identity as "each person's deeply felt internal and individual experience of gender, which may or may not correspond with the sex assigned at birth, including the personal sense of the body and other expressions of gender, including dress, speech, and mannerisms." This definition and its acknowledgment within human rights politics is a key step in the fight of trans people for legal protection. Our aim is to analyze this definition both historically and systematically to find out how the Western liberal conception of rights fosters specific trans politics and limits the options for others. Specifically, we claim that political liberalism and the form of subjective rights that it brings about influence concepts of identity and political strategies. While we analyze the limits of the liberal framework, our aim is to think about how it is possible that even within this framework, non-normative bodies and queer identities can be acknowledged and supported through law.

Orchestre à l'École a aujourd'hui plus de 20 ans. 36 000 jeunes en bénéficient dans plus de 1 300 orchestres. En 2019, le Centre National de Ressources, qui anime depuis 2008 le réseau, ressent le besoin de mieux estimer les impacts du programme dans les territoires qu'ils soient éducatifs, socio-économiques et politiques. Cette évaluation du rôle des orchestres à l'école dans le développement culturel des territoires n'avait été, jusque-là, jamais conduite à un niveau national. Les objectifs sont de mieux saisir les modalités de fonctionnement de l'action sur un terrain local et d'en révéler les ressorts et les écueils, afin de fournir aux orchestres, des outils opérationnels, et au Centre de Ressources de nouveaux modes d'accompagnement. C'est cet impact territorial que l'étude évaluative et prospective menée par Vincent Lalanne et François Pouthier, au sein de la cellule de transfert et de valorisation de la recherche Université Bordeaux Inter Culture (UBIC) a cherché à appréhender et à évaluer. L'étude révèle que les orchestres à l'école sont bel et bien entrés dans « l'âge du faire » Elle montre qu'ils présentent toutes les caractéristiques d'une innovation socio-pédagogique qui pourrait, sous condition qu'on améliore certaines procédures et qu'on interroge certaines représentations, devenir un fer de lance de territoires apprenants.

In this chapter we explore family wealth arrangements in France. Estate planning and marital breakdowns are two moments when families and legal professionals strive to preserve real estate and businesses, or to minimize taxes. For this purpose, they produce inventories, estimations and distributions of assets which end up disadvantaging women, even though shares may appear to be formally equal. Reversed accounting is a common logic of practice, in which the result comes first and computation only after, as a means to legitimize the sharing that has been (forcefully) agreed on. Thus, it is not only the wealth of the upper class that is underestimated, but more particularly men's wealth. Those mechanisms contribute to impoverish women. We conclude that class society reproduces itself thanks to the male appropriation of capital.

International audience The present study is a simulation that analyzes the financial viability of a hypothetical 100megawatt wind power project based in Algiers with the objective of exporting electricity to Tunisia. For this purpose, the "RETScreen Expert" Clean Energy Project Analysis Tool developed with support from the Canadian Department of Natural Resources was used. The study shows that such a project could generate an annual electricity production of 262800 megawatt hours and annual revenues of US $ 20,235 million for an electricity export price of US $ 0.077/kWh. ; La présente étude est une simulation qui permet d'analyser la viabilité financière d'un projethypothétique d'énergie éolienne de 100 mégawatts basé à Alger et dont l'objectif est d'exporter de l'électricité en Tunisie. À cet effet, l'Outil d'analyse de projets énergies propres "RETScreen Expert" développé avec le soutien du ministère des Ressources naturelles du Canada a été utilisé. The contemporary looting of the terrestrial archaeological heritage in metropolitan France has never been the subject of an exhaustive study. This dissertation, therefore, draws up an assessment, through a singular study, which is based on a mainly archaeological approach, while integrating a perspective with the law and ethnography. In particular, it provides information on the legislation and recalls the attacks on the heritage of the soil archives, essentially that linked to archaeological looting. The analysis traces the history of thefts of archaeological objects and the materiality of looting; for the latter, i.e. the means and aspects, the many forms implemented (remediation, rally-detection, magnet fishing, sales, etc.) by the treasure hunters, the dealers in soil artefacts belonging to the community of prospectors, detectorists who carry out looting and various forms of trafficking in archaeological objects. This study required, on the one hand, to define this heterogeneous French community and the metal detection market as well as the lobbies that emanate from it around the motivations, reasons, practices, etc. And, on the other hand, to study their relationship with French legislation.This work also addresses the characteristics and consequences of depredation, as well as its constant impact on the nature and study of archaeological sites. Archaeological looting highlights the deterioration of the environment and the context of the sites and the loss of certain data from the field: they are objects destroyed through lack of interest or ignorance, they are decontextualised artefacts. These objects feed the collections and the great illicit trafficking in archaeological goods in France and throughout the world.This dissertation has raised various pitfalls (around the collection of data, the elaboration of statistics, etc.). The combined consequences of the debt crisis, the start of the Syrian conflict in 2011 and the subsequent advent of the 'migration crisis' in 2015 have reinforced the structural challenges faced by EU frontline member states in hosting large numbers of migrants in spite of their limited logistical capacities. While nationalism and anti-immigrant sentiment have intensified across both ends of the Mediterranean, further reinforcing migration externalization, securitization and criminalization policies as well as 'crisis' discourses in the political and media arenas, initiatives expressing solidarity towards people on the move have multiplied in key countries of 'transit'. This working paper forms the basis for a qualitative PhD study comparing insights from Greek, Italian and Turkish migrants living in Brussels, shedding light on how they have engaged with the governance of migration 'back home' in recent years, specifically through their perceptions of crisis discourses and narratives, hospitality practices and migration policies. This paper is built on the hypothesis that perceptions and attitudes are polarized, revealing practices of 'othering' on behalf of selected immigrant groups living in Brussels vis-à-vis migrant populations in their country of origin, as well as the importation and reproduction of discourses and local and/or transnational practices of hospitality.

Umso unverständlicher wirkt die Zurückhaltung von Horkheimer und Adorno, den Begriff gesellschaftstheoretisch zu explizieren. Gösta Gantner zeigt, inwiefern die Vorstellungen des »Andersseinkönnens« und der »Potentialität« die Kritische Theorie nahezu unbemerkt dominieren. Capital is not in itself the cause of the problems of increasing inequality but is the end product. Observing the product as the driving cause is a theoretical error. The cause of the increase in inequality is the nature of the capturing power generating such an accumulation. This cause is the emergence of scientifico-political power, of which Capital is only the main accumulation effect. Capital is the effect of scientifico-political power. It is not Capital that creates the scientific division of labor, it is the emergence and establishment of scientifico-political power that generates the division of labor, its quantification and quantitative evaluation, and a scientific-political rationality that generates a spontaneous order in which accumulation originates in places with the most sophisticated systems of scientification of the means of accumulation. This article only presents the method used to discover this advance, which is part of a long and much broader doctoral research work (cf. https://halshs.archives-ouvertes.fr/tel-02298507/document) that formulates the historical proof of analysis from the self-critical method and according to a critical materialist approach from three currents: the Frankfurt School, the Deleuzeo-Guattarian philosophy and the Marxist materialist approach from Althusser to Actuel Marx in France, as well as the Marxisms of Latin America. Capital is not the priority critical target. The priority target to be weighed is scientifico-political power itself and its effects. From the method used is then deduced other steps which consist in reconciling the materialist theoretical objective of analysis and the capacity for effectiveness and concrete action of transformation by declining into strategies of peace conceived as a reduction of the mutilating structures of existence. ; Le Capital n'est pas en soi la cause des problèmes d'accroissement des inégalités mais il en est le produit final. Cet article ne présente que la méthode utilisée pour découvrir cette avancée, qui s'inscrit dans un long et beaucoup plus vaste travail de recherche doctorale (cf. https://halshs.archives-ouvertes.fr/tel-02298507/document) qui formule la preuve historique de l'analyse à partir de la méthode autocritique et selon une approche matérialiste critique empruntée à trois courants : l'école de Francfort, la philosophie deleuzo-guatarienne et l'approche matérialiste marxiste d'Althusser à Actuel Marx en France, ainsi que les marxismes d'Amérique latine. Le Capital n'est pas la cible critique prioritaire. La cible prioritaire à considérer est le pouvoir scientifico-politique lui-même et ses effets. De la méthode utilisée se déduisent alors d'autres étapes qui consistent à concilier l'objectif théorique matérialiste de l'analyse et la capacité d'efficacité et d'action concrète de transformation se déclinant en stratégies de paix conçues comme une réduction des structures mutilantes de l'existence.

International audience ; This presentation deals with the consequences of unused buildings on urban territories and associated operational challenges. Vacancy is not a new urban issue but it has been renewed recently by the increase in the number, diversity and spatial sprawl of unused buildings. It occurs in shrinking cities as much as in dynamic ones. The presentation draws on a literature review and a research-action with the Roubaix municipality. It will account for the building vacancy phenomenon, its diversity, transterritoriality and multicausality. Then we will explain why building vacancy should get a peculiar attention in relation with its territorial challenges, and urban and financial consequences. Finally, we will question the form of intervention, from the production of actionable knowledge to the renewal of the operators in charge of the abandoned buildings reuse. ; Cette communication examine la manière dont la vacance immobilière affecte les territoires et souligne les défis opérationnels soulevés pour la résorber. La vacance est un phénomène ancien mais son actualité est particulièrement renouvelée par l'accroissement, la diversification sectorielle et la diffusion spatiale du bâti inoccupé, et cela dans les villes dynamiques comme dans les territoires en déclin. En nous appuyant sur une revue de littérature et sur une recherche-action menée avec la ville de Roubaix, nous établirons le constat de l'inoccupation immobilière pour montrer son caractère protéiforme, transterritorial et multicausal. Nous expliquerons ensuite pourquoi l'inoccupation bâtie doit susciter une attention spécifique au regard de ses enjeux territoriaux et de ses conséquences financières et urbaines. Enfin, nous interrogerons la remise en cause des modalités d'action relatives à la production des connaissances utiles et au renouvellement des opérateurs de la réutilisation des locaux inoccupés.
