В статье рассматриваются основные направления, тенденции и проблемы развития сельской инфраструктуры на рубеже ХХ XXI вв. Совершенствование всех сторон жизни в сельской местности, создание условий для полноценного и современного обеспечения социальными услугами сельского населения всегда является главной целью развития социальной сферы, которая, в свою очередь, непосредственно влияет на эффективность аграрного сектора экономики. Автор делает вывод, что в середине 2000-х гг. российское государство на федеральном и региональном уровнях стремилось стабилизировать ситуацию в социальной сфере, придать социальной инфраструктуре современное содержание, определить эффективное направление ее развития. ; The paper discusses the main directions, trends and challenges for rural infrastructure development at the turn of the XX XXI centuries. Improving all aspects of life in rural areas, creating conditions for developing modern social services for the rural population are the main goal of rural social development, which, in turn, directly affects the efficiency of the agricultural sector of the economy. The author concludes that in the mid-2000s. Russian government at the federal and regional level sought to stabilize the situation in the social sphere, to modernize social infrastructure and to define the effective direction of its development.

В статье рассматривается один из основных аспектов в системе социальной защиты населения принцип обратной связи от «объекта к субъекту». Государственная политика по социальной защите должна основываться на общественном мнении населения. По мнению автора, истинность или ложность теоретических парадигм в социальной политике можно определить лишь по принципу обратной связи через социологические опросы различных групп населения и экспертные заключения. Эмперически статья основывается на данных опросов работников, в том числе социологического опроса, проведенного автором самостоятельно в 2009 г., а также на результатах исследований Центра социально правовых проблем. ; The paper deals with one of the main aspects of the social protection system that is the principle of feedback. Government policy on social protection should be based on public opinion. The author believes that validity of theoretical paradigms in social policy can only be determined on the basis of feedback through polls of different population groups and expert opinion. The paper is based on the data from employee surveys including a poll conducted by the author independently in 2009, as well as on the results of the Center for Social Research.

- The topic of this contribution is a sociological analysis of the celiac disease under a perspective which try to overcome the traditionally perspective of illness, considering the impact on the relationships connected to the aspects of socialization referred to dining together. The attention is focused in particular to some phases of the life, when the socialization is made even sitting at the table, in collective rites of eating pizza or pasta all together. From here the necessity of considering a dimension that allows to gather the uneasiness and the social damages connected to the illness: especially because it doesn't need a care in the traditional sense of the term (differently from other autoimmune illnesses like the diabetes, the autoimmune thyroiditis or the psoriasis, in the case of the celiac disease is "enough" to follow a free-gluten diet). Poetic expressions may seem somewhat removed from a pragmatist social science, but the history of the development of Western civilization is such that the (knowingly) fictionalized renderings of human life-worlds that were developed in the classical Greek era (c700-300BCE) appear to have contributed consequentially to a scholarly emphasis on the ways in which people engage the world. Clearly, poetic writings constitute but one aspect of early Greek thought and are best appreciated within the context of other developments in that era, most notably those taking shape in the realms of philosophy, religion, rhetoric, politics, history, and education. These poetic materials (a) attest to views of the human condition that are central to a pragmatist philosophy (and social science) and (b) represent the foundational basis for subsequent developments in literary criticism (including theory and methods pertaining to the representation of human enacted realities in dramaturgical presentations). Thus, while not reducing social theory to poetic representation, this statement considers the relevance of early Greek poetics for the development of social theory pertaining to humanly enacted realities.

The Mediterranean Games, insofar as they are intended as a relevant international sporting event on the world scene, have belonged, since their inception in 1951, to a diffuse context. On the one hand, they are supposed to facilitate international understanding and cooperation; on the other, they must face a world of political ambitions, grievances and claims, regional conflict and social and economic differences within participating states. The author aims to review the different historical, social and cultural aspects of this sporting event in an always convulsive Mediterranean. ; Los Juegos Mediterráneos, en tanto que competición internacional que se pretende de carácter relevante, se han situado históricamente, desde sus inicios en 1951, dentro de un contexto difuso. Un contexto que, por un lado, aboga por un entendimiento y una colaboración internacional a partir del encuentro deportivo; pero que, por otro lado, se encuentra inmerso en un sistema de ambiciones políticas, reivindicaciones, conflictos en la zona o diferencias sociales y económicas existentes entre los diferentes estados participantes. El presente artículo pretende revisar diferentes aspectos históricos, sociales y culturales ligados a esta competición, dentro del siempre convulso contexto mediterráneo.

Niklas Luhmann's theory of social systems has been widely influential in the German-speaking countries in the past few decades. However, despite its significance, particularly for organization studies, it is only very recently that Luhmann's work has attracted attention on the international stage as well. This Special Issue is in response to that. In this introductory paper, we provide a systematic overview of Luhmann's theory. Reading his work as a theory about distinction generating and processing systems, we especially highlight the following aspects: (i) Organizations are processes that come into being by permanently constructing and reconstructing themselves by means of using distinctions, which mark what is part of their realm and what not. (ii) Such an organizational process belongs to a social sphere sui generis possessing its own logic, which cannot be traced back to human actors or subjects. (iii) Organizations are a specific kind of social process characterized by a specific kind of distinction: decision, which makes up what is specifically organizational about organizations as social phenomena. We conclude by introducing the papers in this Special Issue.

In this paper we analyse the literature on a particular aspect of immigrant integration in Western European welfare states: the extent to which this can be explained by conditions set by institutions, social rights and rights of residence. Our focus is on health care, old age insurance, housing and vocational training, and on the circumstances under which migrants have access to benefits from the general systems of social security. In particular, the assignment of a legal position by the rights of residence plays an essential role. The various legal groups have access to social benefits depending on their status of residence. The institutional framework of each welfare states is also relevant to the access that people have to social benefits. In the countries analysed, Germany, France, Great Britain, and the Netherlands, the individual security systems are organised according to different political concepts, each of them allowing immigrants access to their benefits to a different degree. On the whole, the degree and kind of governmental regulations seem to be crucially important for the integration of immigrants into the welfare state. (European Journal of Political Research / FUB)

Discusses techno-sexual relations & other forms of relations between strangers in computer-mediated environments in the wider context of embodiment forms in contemporary social relations. It is suggested that aspects of this wider context -- eg, the tendency of modern social relations to be objectified, privatized, rationalized, commodified, & enveloped in technological systems -- participate in the abstraction of frames of social integration. Such abstraction has been a constituent part of social relations, eg, face-to-face interactions, since the days of tribalism. However, whereas in tribalism, bodily abstraction has a condensed depth, in late-capital, postmodern societies, such depth is missing. In the absence of this depth, individuals come to have an ambivalent, often vexed relationship to their bodies in the contemporary context, as they are charged not with merely situating the body between self & others, but with fashioning constructions of selves that may be continuously modified & commodified. It is suggested that the task before modern society is to develop an ethics of living capable of taking into account the most egregious effects of this identity-construction process. 27 References. L'État-providence à travers l'étude comparative des institutions. Douglas E. Ashford.
Les divers États-providence sont les produits des arrangements institutionnels propres aux pays démocratiques modernes. On peut considérer les programmes et les politiques de protection sociale comme un aspect du lent processus de perfectionnement des idées démocratiques. A partir de 1950 environ, les partis ont renoncé à menacer de faire du welfare state une question polarisante : ils ont simplement essayé de trouver de nouvelles formules institutionnelles à l'intérieur de la structure complexe des politiques de protection sociale. Les idéologies perdaient de leur importance comme source de conflit à l'intérieur du système, mais les valeurs démocratiques et sociales s'étaient diffusées à travers tous les rouages politiques et administratifs des démocraties modernes ; autrement dit, de multiples mécanismes de protection et d'assistance sociales avaient, en silence, « rattrapé », l'idéal-type « États-providence ». Ces mécanismes avaient été adaptés aux systèmes institutionnels propres à chaque pays. Pour faire utilement de la recherche comparative, mieux vaut partir de ces différences institutionnelles nationales que de l'hypothèse d'un modèle unique d'État-providence ayant des traits fixes et généraux, par rapport auquel on évaluerait les différentes expériences nationales.
