Abstract: The decisive aspect of society development in the modern world is scientific and cultural interaction, cooperation. We hope that this article, devoted to the study of emotional-expressive syntax in Tatar and French, will make a definite contribution to the development of world scientific and intercultural understanding and cooperation. The problem studied in this article is significant and modern. The comparative study of the syntax of different languages, such as Tatar and French, is extremely important, since it is syntax that is the most valuable source of information about the culture of a particular people, the ideas about morality, the relations to the surrounding world, etc., which becomes the property of linguistic consciousness. This is due to the need for a linguistic analysis of Tatar and French language expressive syntax, as well as to the insufficient study of expressiveness category operation at the syntactic level. Expressive verbal sentences of Tatar and French languages are specialized syntactic means and serve to implement the category of emotional expression. Verbal emotional-expressive sentences in Tatar and French are distinguished by a great variety of structural types. The linguistic specificity of the axiological syntactic units of Tatar and French languages is expressed in their emotional-evaluative lexical content and is associated with the cultural and national characteristics of the studied language bearers. The obtained results make a definite contribution to the development of language expressive picture issue, as well as to communicative linguistics, linguistics and functional stylistics

AbstractExpressive flexibility is the ability to express or suppress one's emotions to meet the demands of the situation. Recent work suggests that expressive flexibility is associated with better adjustment. However, few studies have focused on expressive flexibility in children. In addition, there is a dearth of research on possible correlates, such as culture, parental emotion socialization, and socioeconomic status, that may be associated with expressive flexibility competencies in children. The purpose of this study was to investigate cultural differences in children's expressive flexibility, maternal emotion control values (ECVs), and their relations to family socioeconomic status (SES) during middle childhood in a sample of European American (N = 31, M age = 9.61 years; 54.8% males), Korean American (N = 38, M age = 9.16 years; 55.3% males) and South Korean children (N = 77, M age = 9.74 years; 51.9% males). Mothers reported on demographics and their emotion control values. Children's expressive flexibility ability was assessed using a lab‐based observational measure. Multivariate analyses of covariance controlling for SES, child age, and gender suggested significant cultural differences in expressive flexibility, with the U.S. children (both European and Korean Americans) scoring higher on expressive flexibility compared to their South Korean counterparts. Results also suggested significant cultural differences regarding maternal ECVs; Korean Americans were more similar to South Koreans, both scoring higher on ECVs than European Americans. Socioeconomic status, but not maternal ECVs, were associated with children's expressive flexibility, independent of child age, sex, and culture.

We live in an interconnected world in which expressive and religious cultures increasingly commingle and collide. In a globalized and digitized era, we need to better understand the relationship between the First Amendment to the United States Constitution and international borders. This book focuses on the exercise and protection of cross-border and beyond-border expressive and religious liberties, and on the First Amendment's relationship to the world beyond US shores. It reveals a cosmopolitan First Amendment that protects cross-border conversation, facilitates the global spread of democratic principles, recognizes expressive and religious liberties regardless of location, is influential across the world, and encourages respectful engagement with the liberty regimes of other nations. The Cosmopolitan First Amendment is the product of historical, social, political, technological and legal developments. Reflections on Portuguese orientalism have traditionally focused on the ways past historiographies of an academic penchant conveyed representations of "Arabs" and of their presence in explanatory theses about the Portuguese nation. This article focuses on how these kinds of statements form discursive archives which are handled within processes of subjective identification and acquire meaning in products and creative processes of expressive culture. Focusing on a musical collaboration between a Portuguese and a Lebanese musician, this seeks to understand how particular "imaginative geographies" emerging through sound, poetry and expressive practices dialogue with the current European economic and political context, in particular, the Portuguese ; La reflexión sobre un orientalismo portugués ha incidido especialmente sobre la forma en que la producción historiográfica de perfil académico vehiculó, en el pasado, representaciones de los "árabes" y de su presencia en las tesis explicativas de la nación. Can traditional arts improve an older adult's quality of life? Are arts interventions more effective when they align with an elder's cultural identity? In The Expressive Lives of Elders, Jon Kay and contributors from a diverse range of public institutions argue that such mediations work best when they are culturally, socially, and personally relevant to the participants. From quilting and canning to weaving and woodworking, this book explores the role of traditional arts and folklore in the lives of older adults in the United States, highlighting the critical importance of ethnographic studies of creative aging for both understanding the expressive lives of elders and for designing effective arts therapies and programs. Each case study in this volume demonstrates how folklore and traditional practices help elders maintain their health and wellness, providing a road map for initiatives to improve the lives and well-being of America's aging population

"Expressive Enactments of Ethnic Membership in the Romanian-American Organizations from California. Centered on the missions and repertoires of the Romanian ethnic organizations in California, this study analyzes how Romanian-Americans negotiate their Romanian ethnicity as individuals and as members of organized groups. While describing ethnic organizations as loci of ethnic awareness, founded on the expressive identification of Romanian-ness in the American space, my focus is on the heterogeneous discourses of the most visible Romanian ethnic associations in California. This study identifies ways of ""encapsulating"" Romanian ethnicity in ensembles of cultural practices which showcase ethnic culture through artifacts and cultural events as signifiers of ethnicity.
