In St. Petersburg gibt es den Diskussionsclub Polit-Gramota. Er versteht sich als alternativer öffentlicher Raum, der Jugendlichen die Möglichkeit bietet, frei über Politik und Gesellschaft zu debattieren. Gleichzeitig erwerben sie so Kompetenzen für eine Tätigkeit im Journalismus, in der Zivilgesellschaft oder der Politik. Selbst auf dem Höhepunkt der politischen Polarisierung während der Massenproteste gegen Wahlfälschung im Winter 2011/2012 konnte Polit-Gramota seine Neutralität wahren und Pluralität garantieren. Das sichert Freiräume im autoritären Staat und verschafft den Stimmen von Jugendlichen Gehör, die in der etablierten Politik ignoriert werden. (Osteuropa (Berlin) / SWP)
