The world of wine encompasses endless variety. Consumers want to understand what makes one bottle of wine different from another; vintners need to know how to communicate what makes their product distinctive. Drawing on a decade of fieldwork in Italy and France as well as interviews with critics and analysis of market data, Giacomo Negro, Michael T. Hannan, and Susan Olzak provide an unprecedented sociological account of the dynamics of wine markets. They demonstrate how the concepts of genre and collective identity illuminate producers' choices, whether they are selling traditional or nonconventional wines.Winemakers face a fundamental choice: produce an existing style and develop an identity as a proponent of tradition or embrace foreign, new, or emerging categories and be seen as an innovator. To explain this dilemma, Negro, Hannan, and Olzak develop the notion of wine genres, or shared understandings among producers and the public. Genres emerge through the social structure of production, including factors such as group solidarity, social cohesion, and collective action, and become key reference points for critics and consumers. Wine Markets features case studies of the creation of a modern wine genre and a countermovement against modernism in Piedmont, the failure of producers of Brunello di Montalcino in Tuscany to define a clear collective identity, and the emergence of the biodynamic wine movement in Alsace. This book not only offers keen sociological insight into the wine world but also sheds new light on the logic of markets and organizations more broadly

EN: Peculiarities of the of State management system of disabled people social protection are defined. Modern society is already aware that nation's intellectual potential can also be found in people with physical limitations. The article identifies the approaches to the choice of options for the State support of people with disabilities in context of European practice. The study acquaintes with the experience of reforming in social protection system for people with disabilities existing in Member States of EU, in order to identify the shortcomings of the modern Ukrainian system. As for the approaches to the disabled people employment in Europe, there is a tendency to move from medical model "of rehabilitation of people with disabilities" to the model of work force training focused on the possibilities of every person. This allows people with disabilities take full place in a society and to provide on an individual basis their decent standard of living. The attention is payed on the condition of Ukraine's State policy regarding the involvement of people with disabilities into national processes. It is stressed that Ukrainian legislation makes employers not only to give jobs to people with disabilities, but also take additional safety measures that meet the specific features of this category of workers. In some cases this means to arrange training and retraining. That is why some enterprises by tricks, offer special employees not quite legitimate forms of cooperation. One of the most common is the part-time employment with minimum pay. Actually a person does not come to the workplace but only receives some money. A confirmation of the abovementioned is the published research of the largest employees search site in Ukraine, called Work.ua. It is noted that one of the obstacles to the successful employment of disabled people is their "formal employment". People are also not ready to adequately perceive staff members differing from them (psychological aspect) and employers are not interested in providing jobs for people with special needs as this requires financial and time costs (financial aspect). That is why the emphasis is placed on the urgency of the European Strategy implementation as for disabled people in Ukraine. Ways of finding jobs for persons with disabilities are offered.

The Digital Diolectic is an interdisciplinary jam session about our visual and intellectual cultures as the computer recodes technologies, media, and art forms. Unlike purely academic texts on new media, the book includes contributions by scholars, artists, and entrepreneurs, who combine theoretical investigations with hands-on analysis of the possibilities (and limitations) of new technology. The key concept is the digital dialectic: a method to ground the insights of theory in the constraints of practice. The essays move beyond journalistic reportage and hype into serious but accessible discussion of new technologies, new media, and new cultural forms.

MULTICULTURAL ASPECTS OF SUPERVISION IN POST-APARTHEID SOUTHAFRICAClinical supervision in psychology and social work is challenged with addressing the variouscultural, social and political factors that affect therapeutic and supervisory relationships. In thecontext of present-day South Africa with its emphasis on recruiting supervisees into the helpingprofessions from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds, questions of race, ethnicity and culture inclinical supervision have become of considerable importance. This paper examines the literaturepertinent to supervision and presents a theoretical framework for conceptualising themulticultural development of supervisors and supervisees with a specific emphasis on the SouthAfrican context. It highlights some of the potential problems that might arise in supervisoryrelationships in which the supervisor and supervisee are racially disparate and outlinesrecommendations for clinicians to consider in their practice. Most of the research on inter-racialclinical supervision has been conducted in the United States and other countries wheremulticulturalism is part of the national landscape. This article uses this international literature andapplies it to the present post-apartheid contex

This thesis focuses on the origins of the lawn-aesthetic as it was developed in the twentieth century to be controlled spaces. The social construction of the manicured lawn built upon preexisting correlations to social and economic status within a suburban community. The lawn-aesthetic and maintenance of American white-suburbia during this time was implemented within a system specifically created for those of a certain class and race, namely white and rising middle-class. In pursuing greener grass, homeowners sought conformity and monoculture despite the byproduct of environmental toxicity. I propose, through my research into the history of the social and economic factors of the white-suburban lawn, that the contemporary upkeep of these dated expectations should be kicked to the curb to make room for new landscaping methodologies that have the intention of cultivating a space for communication, inclusion, and activism rather than aesthetic conformity. For such spaces to be developed, there needs to be a shift in the ideology that public presentation correlates to social, economic, and political status. This shift can occur if the social implications and expectations of the lawn-aesthetic no longer encompass a reflection of the social and economic position within the community. This thesis argues for the reformation of associations and assumptions made by a public audience of a private space, as determined by the property line, through the analysis of what it means to participate in the lawnscaping culture of American white-suburbia.
The author of the article analyzes works of foreign and Russian researchers dealing with marketing issues. The author proves that different researchers identified the trend of marketing adaptation in organizations related to the non-profit sphere as a stable one. It is noted that social aspects of marketing, which are further formalized and implemented in the concepts of strategic, socially-oriented (social-ethical), individual marketing, relationship marketing, marketing of large social communities, are strengthened. The author marks out the most important reasons for borrowing marketing and its adaptation in the non-commercial sphere: due to the use of the entire marketing complex, stable connections are formed, loyal and trust-based relations with consumers of services are established, their needs are met through services, and the social effect of activity of this type of organization is increased. The article proves the usefulness of marketing application in the activities of government bodies and their subordinate organizations as a set of functions, a tool for creating specific products and services of public importance. The author of the article makes her theoretical contribution to the analysis of processes of marketing adaptation to different types of management: namely, she proves the appropriateness of marketing adaptation in public administration in order to achieve such a goal as the satisfaction of public interests acknowledged by the majority of public administration subjects. The author of the article also proposes a list of public administration subjects interested in application of the marketing complex. The article reveals the presence of marketing approach in the activity of one of the public administration subjects (the Ministry of Social Policy), which is implemented in the following marketing elements: in marketing functions and tools, their recording in regulatory acts, and also, to some extent, in mastering of marketing ideas by executives and specialists, and their application in activities.
