This paper addresses the issues of knowledge production, which interrogate and disrupt dominant narratives that subjugate Black females related to their identity. We contextualize our discussion through the lens of critical consciousness and critical media literacy by exploring the role of popular media in identity development/imposition for Black females. We outline issues of Black female identity politics by framing them through the description of critical media literacy as a 21st century literacy, with Black Feminist Theory as our theoretical lens. Similar discussions have remained centered in the field of Media Studies and there has been inadequate attention to these issues in the education realm, particularly as they relate to Black females and their self-concept and self-empowerment.

A new look at the professional training of a higher school teacher, in particular, a teacher of general technical disciplines and teaching methods for technology, the disclosure of their creative potential is based on contemporary methodological approaches. Let's consider in more detail each of the indicated approaches. The emergence of the information society is one of the signs of the transition of civilization into the noosphere. With the introduction of integrated communication networks, the possibilities of direct communication of individuals on a global scale are expanding. The introduction of computer and communication technologies into the daily life of people and into production makes a great socio-economic impact on the post-industrial society and causes such powerful social changes, it (society) turns into a completely new type – an information society, the structure and dynamics of which is based on the production of information, and not material values, as it was before. Information in such a society becomes a social and productive value. Hence the new features of society: a certain hierarchy of prestige, a specific type of education, information technology that provides a balance of dynamics and social statics, a fundamentally different manage-ment system, etc. Analysis of the introduction of degree training in higher pedagogical educational institutions of Ukraine allows us to identify general approaches in the implementation of master's programs, in particular: their focus on the bachelor's degree; variability, flexibility and mobility of master's education, taking into account current socio-economic trends and regional needs; scientific and practical pedagogical direction and individual approaches in the organization of the educational process.

AbstractEducation has long played an important role in social policy as a means for strengthening labour market integration and increasing social mobility. The shift towards a knowledge economy has placed education policy even more centrally in efforts to provide the institutional preconditions for making economic efficiency compatible with social inclusion. To provide conceptual and theoretical context to the special issue, this paper first explores the key tension in the role of education in modern economies between serving concerns for efficiency and inclusion. Second, it argues that it remains possible for education policy to balance between efficiency and inclusion, but that the capacity of advanced economies to do so is politically mediated. Finally, the paper reviews the four main arenas in which such mediation processes take place—the parliamentary arena, the corporatist arena, the state, and public opinion—and how the contributions to the special issue study these.

Zusammenfassung
Der Artikel untersucht, ob und in welchem Maße der Sportlehrerberuf eine Profession darstellt. Hierzu benützt er eine systemtheoretisch orientierte Professionalisierungstheorie (Stichweh), wodurch Fragen nach dem gesellschaftlichen Problembezug, der Definition der Komplementärrollen-Karriere, der Experten-Laien-Differenz und der Monopolstellung des Sportlehrerberufs aufkommen.

In China the goal of art education for college students is to train them to become teachers of various art categories, including design, dance, painting, and music. We investigated the effect of professional identity on learning burnout among 505 college students majoring in art education,
and assessed the mediating role of professional commitment in this relationship. The results indicate that there was a significant negative correlation between professional identity and learning burnout. Furthermore, professional commitment mediated the relationship between professional identity
and learning burnout. Our findings contribute to understanding of the relationships among professional identity, professional commitment, and learning burnout in college students studying art education in the context of Chinese higher education. The findings also provide educators with practical
implications to avoid learning burnout among students. Future directions for research are suggested.

There has been an increasing attempt to theorise the emergence of a liberal-local hybrid approach to state-building, which recognises the coexistence and interaction of liberal and local socio-political institutions. There has not yet been a sustained attempt to understand what occurs when a liberal-local approach is adopted from the outset of a state-building operation. Sustainable markets are heterogeneous phenomena, developed and implemented to keep up the idea of free economic choice against socialist and interventionist forms of environmental or social politics. This article is a plea to understand sustainable markets from the perspective of the state. It presents the history of welfare economics as an ongoing conflict about the question of how to solve the state-versus-market divide. It analyses and compares the welfare tax, the cap-and-trade mechanism, pay-for-success schemes like Social Impact Bonds, and nudging in order to demonstrate their dependence on certain historical state formations, and it links them back to welfare economic struggles between Pigou, Dales, Coase, and Thaler. In doing so it argues for the necessity to bring about the political morality of the microeconomic technicalities of commensuration / commodification. These technicalities organize roles and positions for economic actors and state authorities in very different ways. By applying the analytical concept of the conventions of the state, this article develops a framework to understand the diversity of sustainable state/market co-constructions.

This paper show the main economic and military cooperation treaties between Colombia and United States governments, during the first years after World War II, when the Cold War began and the United States adopted a policy of economic liberalism. Within this framework a new commerce and friendship agreement took place between them, and the Colombian government opened his doors to foreign capitals. Furthermore, the military treaties between both countries strengthen in those years, due to the United States idea of a hemispheric defense against the international communism, and the Colombian intention to improved their armed forces formation and modernization. ; En este artículo se mostraran los principales acuerdos que en materia económica y de cooperación militar alcanzaron los gobiernos de Colombia y Estados Unidos en la primera etapa de la posguerra, momento en que se dio inicio a la guerra fría y el gobierno norteamericano impulsó una política de liberalismo económico. Es en este marco que se negoció un nuevo Tratado de Amistad y Comercio entre los dos países, mientras el gobierno colombiano pudo aumentar sus aranceles y abrió las puertas al capital extranjero. Además, en estos años se estrecharon los acuerdos militares bajo la idea estadounidense de garantizar la defensa hemisférica frente al comunismo internacional, y el interés colombiano por mejorar la formación y modernización de sus fuerzas armadas.
