Technological development is characterised by a series of related phenomena – digitalisation, informatisation, robotisation, and globalisation – resulting in continuous and essential adaptations of human brain and behaviour. These adaptations have awaken the interest of numerous disciplines, but their systematic study, actually, is missing. In the present paper, along with the list of several adaptation fields and examples, the establishing of a new science is suggested – epharmology (from the Greek epharmozein = to adapt) which might be able to comprehensively approach the gathering and analysis of data from various observations and sources and, based on discerning between wishful and unwishful adaptations, which could exert influence upon legislation and education reform.

Abstract
In this essay, David Karlander examines what happens when concepts developed by scholars of language circulate and become embedded in policies and law. In exploring how the distinction between a "language" and a "dialect" became encoded in the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages (ECRML), Karlander examines the consequences when applied to the status and state support of minority languages in Sweden. What counts as a language, he demonstrates, is not simply an "academic" matter. When sociolinguistics enters the public arena, it has the potential to affect the political and social standing of real communities.

Diese Verschaltung von Nietzsches Sklavenmoral und »PC«-Kritik ist zutreffend, wie die systematische Analyse ihrer gemeinsamen Elemente zeigt, die zu einer Neubeschreibung von »PC«-Kritik als Privilegienverteidigung führt. Im Gegensatz zur rechtsnietzscheanischen »PC«-Kritik zeigt der linksnietzscheanische Begriff des privilegienkritischen »politischen Urteilens«, dass Politik ein Kampf um Macht und Ansprüche ist, wobei der politische Raum und seine Diskurse immer verregelt und ein Verteilungssystem für Ressourcen und Privilegien sind. Deshalb ist es für eine emanzipatorische Position angebracht, die etablierten Normen kritisch zu hinterfragen und politische Projekte, die sie emanzipativ umschreiben wollen, zu unterstützen. Weil »PC« als emanzipatives politisches Urteilen Privilegien abbaut, ist es kein zu vermeidender Nebeneffekt, sondern ihr vernünftiger Kern, wenn Privilegierte davon eingeschränkt werden. Der Linksnietzscheanismus hilft, nicht von rechter Aggression überrascht zu werden und ihr entsprechend kämpferisch durch strikte Normsetzung zu begegnen.

By way of introduction, in the build up to the Referendum on Scottish Independence in 2014, I was involved in different bits and pieces of political education work with young people; looking at the issues that were important or personal to them (politics with a small p) and how that connected to governments, policies and decision making (politics with a capital P). For example, a group of young people with specific learning difficulties made connections between issues like bullying, prejudice and discrimination and whether or not there would be greater equality of opportunity if Scotland ruled its own affairs.

The aim of this article is to move away from the myth of passivity to counteract the objectification of South Asian women. Through the narratives of women active in Asian women's organizations it will show that a broader version of political activism is brought into play. This article will also demonstrate that despite being constructed as subjects without agency, South Asian women have been politically active, even under the most oppressive circumstances. Political constitutions are compromises with injustice. What makes the U.S. Constitution legitimate is Americans' faith that the constitutional system can be made "a more perfect union." Balkin argues that the American constitutional project is based in hope and a narrative of shared redemption, and its destiny is still over the horizon.

To an unprecedented degree, the nation's welfare now depends on constitutionally sound outcomes to disputes between Congress and the President over executive branch information. Yet we still lack a satisfying theoretical account of the optimal method for achieving those outcomes. In the years since Watergate, courts and scholars have embraced a theory premised on an unexamined faith that the Constitution's structure embeds in the political process the tools and incentives necessary for each branch to vindicate its interests. Judicial interference, this conventional model further assumes, is both unnecessary and unwise; left to their own devices, the political branches will pursue a salutary course of escalating battle that will ultimately yield the correct constitutional balance in any given information dispute. This Article subjects that conventional theory to the rigorous examination it has thus far escaped. It begins by dispelling the notion that the theory describes a unique mechanism endemic to one species of constitutional conflict. In fact, the Article reveals, this conventional model is a faithful translation to the separation-of- powers context of an approach that has long (and controversially) governed the relationship between the federal government and the states. Building upon that recognition, the Article exposes an unjustifiable inconsistency between the conventional model and the Court's treatment of broader executive- legislative disagreement. The Article then assesses the model on its own terms, finding powerful reason to doubt that the political process alone will produce a satisfactory allocation of authority over information. Courts, the Article concludes, must play some substantive role in a coherent system for resolving interbranch conflicts of this kind.

The Global Water System in the Anthropocene provides the platform to present global and regional perspectives of world-wide experiences on the responses of water management to global change in order to address issues such as variability in supply, increasing demands for water, environmental flows, and land use change. It helps to build links between science and policy and practice in the area of water resources management and governance, relates institutional and technological innovations, and identifies in which ways research can assist policy and practice in the field of sustainable freshwater management. Until the industrial revolution, human beings and their activities played an insignificant role influencing the dynamics of the Earth system, the sum of our planet's interacting physical, chemical, and biological processes. Today, humankind even exceeds nature in terms of changing the biosphere and affecting all other facets of Earth system functioning. A growing number of scientists argue that humanity has entered a new geological epoch that needs a corresponding name: the Anthropocene. Human activities impact the global water system as part of the Earth system, and change the way water moves around the globe like never before. Thus, managing freshwater use wisely in the planetary water cycle has become a key challenge to reach global environmental sustainability.

A political party is defined in terms of coalition building: collective effort directed toward capturing public office and governing once that office is attained. Party organization thus defined includes factional organization as well as the administrative apparatus. This definition assumes a linkage between the electoral party and the party inside the government.

Calls attention to the problems that surround both the definition and measurement of political democracy. The main conceptual problems are the failure to develop an adequate theoretical definition of this concept, the confounding of the concept with others, and treating democracy as a binary rather than a continuous concept.
