Indonesia's political chaos starting from Corruption, Collusion and Nepotism is an unresolved problem and there has been no bright spot to date. There is no formula and the right solution to solve this problem. It is likened to a building, Indonesia is a strong country but very easily collapsed due to political problems, ranging from individuals and groups.Therefore it is necessary to have a strong and sturdy construction to support the building so that it does not easily collapse. Reconstruction built by M.Iqbal with khudi gave birth to a healthy and dynamic politics. As for things that can strengthen the mind: Love, Faqr, courage or enthusiasm, Tolerance, Halal business, and honest and creative work. This can be used as a reconstruction in contemporary Indonesian politics. Love and responsibility will color individuals who are involved in politics. Khudi as a philosophical thought serves to strengthen Indonesia's easily shaken political foundation.The type of research used in this research is descriptive analysis which in this case political reconstruction will be based on M.Iqbal theory, namely gambling. library research method. As a recommendation to overcome the solution of various problems in contemporary Indonesian politics, the political reconstruction offered by M.Iqbal with his opinion was deemed necessary and able to answer the political problem.

The researcher examines the neutrality of the Kiai in the political year due to the existence of one of the candidates for the vice president who participated in the 2019 election is a great Ulama. The political stage not only presents the political maneuver of political figures and parties, but also the role of the Kiai who also took part in the democratic party. One of the kiai who has neutrality in politics is K.H. Sholeh Bahruddin, better known by the name of Kiai Sholeh. The purpose of this study is to analyze the neutrality of the kiai's politics in the perspective of symbolic interaction theory. The methodology used in this research is descriptive qualitative. This research uses Symbolic Interactionism theory for its analysis. The result of the analysis shows that the neutrality of the Kiai is a solution to create peaceful election. Kiai Sholeh made several efforts to realize a peaceful election by: Firstly, Kiai Sholeh committed to uphold the integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia based on Pancasila; Secondly, Kiai Sholeh supported the democratic system and the process of democratization as a political mechanism of the state; and finally, prioritizing peace, tolerance, and togetherness amid differences in political choices.

In this study, we examine the current state and prospects of inclusive education for learners with special needs and disabilities in the countries of the Baltic region (Poland, Sweden, Germany, Denmark, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Norway, and Russia). We present a SWOT analysis of the development of inclusive education in different countries and analyse its strengths and weaknesses, risks, threats, and challenges from a political, economic, and technological perspective. In our analysis, we dissociate the issue of inclusive education from the problem of teaching learners with disabilities and examine the political, economic, social, and technological aspects of the environment that affect the educational situation of learners with disabilities. We consider inclusive education in the context of the documents of the Euro­pean Agency for Special Needs and Inclusive Education — an active educational institution that facilitates the preparation and adaptation of all learners to life in complex multicultural and integrated societies through rights, freedom, tolerance, and non-discrimination of per­sons with disabilities. Our analysis of inclusive education trends relies on the assessment of the goals and objectives, accessibility, and socio-cultural and economic feasibility of inclu­sive educational systems. We stress political, socio-cultural, and technological differences in practices, dynamics, and prospects for inclusive education in the Baltic region countries and Russia.

Chronic absenteeism has been indicated to put over 6 million students at the risk of numerous negative short- and long-term outcomes, such as academic failure, dropping out of school, long-term health issues, unemployment, and exposure to the juvenile justice system. Research presents a clear case that the use of zero tolerance policies, such as suspension and expulsion, contributes significantly to the rates of chronic absenteeism among students of color. When students of color are absent from school, regardless of the reason for the absences, it presents significant barriers to equitable and effective instruction, undermines stable learning environments, and inhibits students' success. Chronic absence can be reduced when schools work with families and communities to track attendance data, create welcoming school environments, and implement strategies to address barriers to attendance. Results-based accountability (RBA) is a measure of accountability that has successfully been used to improve the performance of school districts, programs, agencies, municipalities, and service systems. This article presents a case for RBA to be considered as a standard measure of accountability for schools, districts, and agencies in their efforts to improve school attendance. This article also provides recommendations and implications for practice, policy, education, and research.

ObjectivesNegative sentiment toward immigrants helps fuel preferences for restrictive immigration policy. Religious commitments have been linked to both positive and negative dispositions toward immigrants, Muslims, and immigration. This study tests how religious factors impact negative sentiments toward immigrants and Muslims, and preferences for more restrictive immigration policy.MethodsWe analyze data from the 1996 and 2004–2016 General Social Surveys (GSS), examining scales for negative sentiment toward immigrants, civil liberties for Muslims, and preferences to restrict immigration. Ordinary least squares and ordinal regression models are used to examine the effects of religious factors net of social background and political identifications.ResultsSectarian Protestants, white Catholics, and biblical literalists were found to have more hostile views of immigrants and Muslims, while nonwhite Catholics, non‐Christians, the unaffiliated, and those with secular beliefs held more positive views of immigrants and immigration.ConclusionsWhile elite sectarian Protestants and the Catholic Church hierarchy have urged tolerance for immigrants and immigration, our findings suggest that the sectarians, white Catholics, and biblical literalists hold negative views of immigrants, Muslims, and immigration. Subscription to Christian nationalism also appears to play a role in structuring negative views of immigrants and Muslims.

AbstractPolicy makers and researchers have worked to explain the perplexing rise in U.S. military suicides since 2001, with little progress in explaining this widespread phenomenon. This article synthesizes several literatures to highlight the role of emotion dysregulation in military suicidality. After considering advances in suicidal ideation‐to‐action frameworks and the factors that contribute to the prevalence of emotion dysregulation in the modern U.S. military, it explores how military service provides for two distinct circumstances in which such emotion dysregulation may facilitate the transition from suicidal ideation to behavior. The first circumstance is high distress tolerance, wherein the effects of disproportionately high rates of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) among service‐members may increase vulnerability to suicidal behavior. The second circumstance is preexisting acquired capability with lethal means paired with executive functioning degradation. Empirically associated with military environments, such degradation may undermine the effectiveness of top‐down emotion regulation strategies—thereby allowing acquired familiarity with lethal means to assist the transition from suicidal ideation to action. Thus, emotion dysregulation's unique relationship with the U.S. military may help to explain the powerful correlation between service and suicide since 2001—suggesting that enhancing emotion regulation skills may present a key leverage point for effectively addressing the issue.

Abstract
Departing from an analysis of alternative views and practices to gender-dominant norms, we focus on the construction of gender difference at a microsocial level. By looking at those who intentionally transgress and distance themselves from gender mainstream conventions and beliefs, we aim to deepen the understanding of the continuities and changes in gender regulation mechanisms and processes. For this, we will carry out a critical analysis of qualitative data from a sub-sample of transgender individuals who do not identify unambivalently with the binary categories of man/woman. Based on the Portuguese data collected within the TRANSRIGHTS Project, we will show how gender norms are being mobilized, transformed and resisted to in micro-interactions. To carry out this analytical exercise, we confront two of the fundamental theoretical currents in the study of gender norms. As we seek to bridge the gap between action and structure, our results provide insight into how gender is being (un)done in the Portuguese context. We identified three main groups that practice gender beyond the binary and their relation to the dominant norms. Given the growing visibility and greater tolerance for 'non-binary' genders in western societies, this study is both relevant and necessary.

The stability of vitamins A, E, and C was determined in 12 brands of vitamin supplements over a 12-month storage period. The variations in concentrations of these vitamins across three different batches of five brands were measured. Vitamins A and E was determined by HPLC method, and vitamin C was measured by using potentiometric titration. All samples for stability studies were maintained at room temperature and protected from light. Measurements were carried out in the first semester of the expiration date and then every six months up to 12 months of storage. After this period, only one sample showed no significant decrease in vitamin A and E concentrations in relation to the concentrations measured at the beginning of the study. The concentration of vitamin C showed no significant decrease in 50% of the samples after 6 months of storage, although after 12 months, 92% had significant losses in concentration. The analysis of the different batches showed significant variations in the vitamin levels, which do not seem to be significant for inspection purposes considering the tolerance outlined in the legislation. Overfortification of vitamin supplements during manufacture seems to be required, but the additional amount of supplementation will depend on each sample.

The purpose of this research is to describe and explain: (1) the characterization of the figures in the novel Jokowi Si Tukang Kayu by Gatotkoco Suroso, (2) the inner conflict experienced by the main figure, (3) the values of character education in the novel Jokowi Si Tukang Kayu by Gatotkoco Suroso, (4) the relevance of the values of character education as teaching materials of literature appreciation in senior high school. This research is a descriptive qualitative research which used pscychology literature. The technique of data analysis used was interactive analysis technique. The result of this research showed that the characterization of the figures in the novel Jokowi Si Tukang Kayu by Gatotkoco Suroso are described through three dimensions, dimension of psysiological, psychological, and sociological. Novel Jokowi Si Tukang Kayu also contained 18 values of character education, that are religious, honest, tolerance, discipline, hardwork, creative, independent, democratic, curiosity, spirit of nationality, love the motherland, appreciating achievement, friendly/ communicative, love and peace, loving to read, care for the environtment, social care, and responsibility. Novel Jokowi Si Tukang Kayu is relevant to be used as teaching materials of literature appreciation in senior high school at class XII.

A large number of genetically modified (GM) crops, including both food and non-food crops carrying novel traits have been developed and released for commercial agriculture production. Soybean, maize, canola and cotton for the traits insect resistance and herbicide tolerance are the main crops under commercial cultivation worldwide. In addition, many other GM crops are under development and not yet released commercially. Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in its report, the State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World 2017, highlights the severity of food security and malnourishment problem in most of the Asian and developing countries. GM crops could be an option for nutrients enhancement and yield increase in major crops and solve the problem of malnourishment and food security. India has progressed tremendously in GM crops research, evaluation and monitoring in last two decades but regulatory system impeded gravely due to lack of coordination and common stand on GM technology across different governments, ministries and departments. The increasing cultivation of genetically modified crops has raised a wide range of concerns with respect to food safety, environmental effects and socio-economic issues. Here, we discussed the current status of GM crops research, regulatory framework, and challenges involved with transgenic plants research in India.

Since the reformation happened to this country, publications on several main events, which were sometimes causing some resentment, have been appeared. They include a widespread corruption issue involving executive, legislative, judicative or private elements; a notorious issue of a house member caught up as he played his gadget to watch a porn video; as well as an issue of a ruined PSSI congress held on May 20, 2011. Then, why don't we, as a nation well known for its decency and friendliness, show our tolerance? What is wrong with us? As this question showed up to the ground, there were also excuses replying; we are not ready for democracy, our leaders are indecisive, our education system was so messy, and so on and so forth.To analyze this, we can refer to a certain past moments. In this essay, the Cantata de Santa María de Iquique serves as a framework for re­flection on peace and otherness. It ar­gues that the right to peace is an inte­gral part of the legal and political ethic that involves the "others" towards whom it implies not simply tolerance, but respect for differences and conviv­iality. The range of relationships with the other is a swarm of ethical possi­bilities, stimulating and provocative, which places us on the level of the culture of peace and commitment to promote an education for peace and a strenghtened democracy. ; En este ensayo, la Cantata de Santa María de Iquique sirve como marco a la reflexión sobre la paz y la alteri­dad. Plantea que el derecho a la paz es parte integrante de la ética jurídica y política que implica a los "otros" hacia quienes supone, no simplemente tole­rancia, sino respeto a las diferencias y convivialidad. El abanico de relaciones con el otro se constituye en enjambre de posibilidades éticas, estimulante y provocador, que nos ubica en el plano de la cultura de paz y en el compromi­so de impulsar una educación para la paz y una democracia sustancial.

Developing peace education in society is the 'main gateway' of Indonesian civilization in the future to create tolerant, moderate and inclusive human beings. This study aims to identify challenges, strategies, and contribution to developing peace education for deradicalization in Pesantren al-Bidayah Pasuruan and Pesantren Miftahul Ula, Nganjuk, East Java which are famous as 'humanist pesantrens' with unique diversity of religious thoughts, cultures, and beliefs around them. This research is a qualitative research using interactive analysis model that consists of data reduction, data display and data verification. The conclusions of this study are: First, the challenges of peace education development at Pesantren al-Bidayah Pasuruan and Pesantren Miftahul Ula Nganjuk encompass several forms: the ideological challenge of religious social fundamentalism, religious political cannibalism, and exclusive religious education. Second, the strategies of implementing peace education development at the two pesantrens include: learning to understand cultural diversity, learning to understand religious plurality, and learning to understand social economic-based community. Third, the contribution of peace education development at the two pesantrens includes: contribution of building non-violence culture, developing cultural appreciation of human rights, and awakening democratic values and tolerance around society.

This research aimed to provide an empowerment medium to the people of Medan city through fostering graffiti drawing base on the local wisdom of Malay Deli as a form of creative entrepreneurship. Employing a qualitative method, this research collected the data through observation, interview and documentation. The results showed that graffiti art creativity may be used as a medium to introduce and revitalize Malay Deli local wisdom values through the use of the icon Pak Belalang and Malay Deli Pantun. The icon Pak Belalang in this research served to be an informative, communicative and motivative icon in introducing and preserving Malay Deli Pantun. Malay Deli Pantun in this research has the local wisdom values of Malay Cultures such as moral values including the values of responsibility, tolerance, hard work, democratic and nationality, ethical values including the values of cleanliness, security,order, beauty and kinship and norms values including the norms of legal, morality, decency, and habit. Therefore, it can be concluded that empowering and fostering Medan people to become independent and creative entrepreneurs can be conducted by optimising the graffiti drawing creatifity in making the souvenirs based on local wisdom of Malay Deli using Pak belalang icon and pantuns of Malay Deli.

We live in an age of extreme corporate concentration, in which global industries are controlled by just a few giant firms – big banks, big pharma, and big tech, just to name a few. But concern over what Louis Brandeis called the "curse of bigness" can no longer remain the province of specialist lawyers and economists, for it has spilled over into policy and politics, even threatening democracy itself. History suggests that tolerance of inequality and failing to control excessive corporate power may prompt the rise of populism, nationalism, extremist politicians, and fascist regimes. In short, as Wu warns, we are in grave danger of repeating the signature errors of the twentieth century. In The Curse of Bigness, Columbia professor Tim Wu tells of how figures like Brandeis and Theodore Roosevelt first confronted the democratic threats posed by the great trusts of the Gilded Age – but the lessons of the Progressive Era were forgotten in the last 40 years.
