En vista de la importancia que asume la electrificación rural para el mejoramiento de la calidad de vida y para el desarrollo económico, el propósito del trabajo es examinar las concepciones del peronismo histórico (Argentina, 1946- 1955) sobre la misma y su correlato en el diseño de políticas públicas. Para ello se tendrán en cuenta las iniciativas y los diagnósticos de la época expuestos por técnicos y expertos en la materia. En base a fuentes gubernamentales, prensa y bibliografía de época, se prestará particular atención a la provincia de Buenos Aires. ; Given the importance of rural electrification with respect to improvements to quality of life and economic development, the purpose of this work is to examine the conceptions of historical Peronism (Argentina 1946 – 1955) and its correlation to the design of public policy. Исследовано влияние общественного мнения о демографических и экологических аспектах аграрного кризиса в пореформенной России на государственную политику в сфере природопользования и природоохраны в начале XX в. Изучение основывается на архивных и опубликованных материалах российской публицистики 1900–1910-х гг., в которых отразились мнения современников об особенностях проявления, последствий сельскохозяйственного кризиса в Европейской России, способах его преодоления. Метод сравнительного анализа мнений современников о демоэкологическом кризисе позволил дополнить объективные сведения о сельскохозяйственном упадке в стране того периода и об аграрной политике власти субъективными данными, раскрывающими роль общества в формировании и реализации дореволюционного экологического законодательства. Сделан вывод о том, что активная общественная позиция по поводу демоэкологических проявлений аграрного кризиса пореформенного периода способствовала расширению методов государственной политики, направленной на борьбу с ними, формированию основ природоохранного и природоресурсного законодательства позднеимперского периода. ; The influence of public opinion on the demographic and environmental aspects of the agrarian crisis in the post-reform Russia government policy in the field of environmental management and nature protection in the early XX century is investigated. The study is based on archival and published materials of the Russian journalism 1900–1910-ies., which reflected the views of contemporaries about the peculiarities of manifestation, the consequences of the agricultural crisis in European Russia, ways to overcome it. The method of comparative analysis of the opinions of contemporaries about demographic and ecological crisis will complement objective information on the agricultural decline in the country and the period of the agrarian policy of the authorities' subjective data that reveal the role of society in shaping and implementing the pre-revolutionary environmental legislation. It is concluded that an active social position on the agrarian crisis about demographic and ecological manifestations of post-reform period, contributed to the expansion of methods of public policies aimed at combating them, form the foundations of environmental and natural resources legislation late imperial period.

AbstractThe authors examine the impact of political party control of government on the restrictiveness of a U.S. state's abortion policy, measured by the enactment of a parental involvement law. The empirical results show that (1) institutional control of a state's legislative and executive branches of government by the Republican Party increases the likelihood a state will enact a parental involvement law, while Democratic Party control decreases this likelihood; (2) the more conservative state public opinion is on abortion rights, the more likely a state is to enact a parental involvement law; (3) public anti-abortion attitudes do not act as a moderating force on the link between political party control and the enactment of a parental involvement law; and (4) the impact of political party control on the enactment of a parental involvement law has grown larger over time.

This report traces the legislative history of the Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2001 (EGTRRA;P.L. 107-16) and its extensions, shows their time line, and provides general overview of their implications and revenue effects. The report focuses on the measures that extend or curtail the key tax relief provisions of EGTRRA and the follow-up legislation, rather than modify the respective parts of the tax code in some new way.
