International audience ; Civic hacking movement, born at the times of Obama campaign, promotes trust in programming code as a new tool able to solve a large variety of public problems usually delegated to public services or dedicated private institutions. Based on a four-year STS-inspired ethnography of "civic hackathons" in France and Russia, the paper aims to draw a profile of a "civic hacker" and grasp the transformations of civic participation brought by this phenomenon. Beyond technoscepticism and solutionism, the author suggests to follow the actors in their work of "putting problems into code" and proposes a pragmatist approach to civic hacking. While recent studies have been critical of civic hacking as part of the broader neoliberal transformations of labor, the author argues that, in the context of distrust towards traditional political institutions and repertoires of contention, civic hacking can assist construction of public problems, and can also mean "hacking the civics".

This study explores the relationship between historical resistance and their relationship to modern-day Euroscepticism. It can be seen that within the European Union, the political orientation of Eurosceptic parties differs, with some political orientations being more popular in some parts of the continent compared to others—Eastern European states tend to have right-wing parties, while many Southern European states having left-wing parties. The author suggests that this is a result of the orientation of the resistance movements to the state's historic authoritarian regime. Case studies were conducted on Spain and Poland—two EU with similar sized area, population, and economies—looking at their respective resistance movements to authorization and their connection to their respective dominate Eurosceptic parties, PiS and Podemos. The author observed clear links and similarities between the tactics, ethos, and rhetoric between these parties and their respective national resistance movements to authoritarianism.

The paper deals with the study of the image of Rome and the socio-political situation of the era, which represent a significant historic context. The focus is on the real image of the Roman emperors Tiberius, Caligula, Claudius and Nero. The presence in the novel image of the narrator acting as interpreter of history and guide for the reader to actual historical events, suggests talking about the possibility of the historical analysis of the novel. Sadoc is definitely one of the most significant characters in the novel. We can assume that the images of the author and the narrator seem to be identical and Anthony Burgess` main ideas are given by Sadoc. The article gives particular attention to the analysis of the narrative features of Sadoc. Highlighting the actions of the apostles in the struggle for faith, the author doesn`t hide the main political events in The Kingdom of the wicked.

The importance of capital inflows and outflows is something that country needs and encourage it to help the economies of countries to grow at a steady rate. The purpose of this study is to provide a framework and to explain what main drivers of FDI in the world are and what policies should be made to encourage the FDI in BiH. Main limitations of this study would be that, since this is rather an extensive study, it will not be able to cover all factors in-depth, but the author will try to explain in great detail the ones that she considers to be of great importance for Bosnia and Herzegovina. The author will examine factors that China took into consideration as it's incentives for attracting FDI. Furthermore, this study will show what the main factors are influencing the FDI of other countries and how Bosnia can improve its policies and change them to attract FDI.

In the paper, the author analyses three years of the rule of the left-wing SYRIZA in Greece. She discusses the basis of the party's historical victory in the parliamentary elections in 2015. In addition, she analyses the course of negotiations with Greek creditors regarding the third economic adjustment programme for Greece. She also points out the necessity of gradual resignation from anti-austerity agenda and social reactions against introduced reforms. Zwraca też uwagę na konieczność stopniowego odchodzenia od sprzeciwu wobec polityki oszczędności oraz reakcje społeczne na wprowadzane reformy. W końcowej części, autorka pracy wskazuje na bieżące wyzwania rządu greckiego.

There exists an erroneous academic and political dilemma, propelled by the right, when characterizing the current course of Latin America as one that sits between democracy and dictatorship, as the only political horizons possible for the continent. On the contrary, the author affirms that this dispute is actually between elite democracies and social democracies. From this point, the author describes the political processes of the last decades in the region and proposes possible democratic horizons. ; Existe un equivocado dilema académico y político, impulsado desde la derecha, al momento de caracterizar la actualidad y el rumbo de América Latina entre la democracia o dictadura, como únicos horizontes posibles. En contraposición, el autor sostiene que la disputa se encuentra entre las democracias de élite y las democracias sociales. A partir de ello, describe los procesos políticos de las últimas décadas en la región y se plantea posibles horizontes democráticos.

Could an architecture project be revisited repeatedly, and still surprise you with new possibilities? That question crossed the mind of this author when she read the approach suggested by EURAU this year. This was the reason why she decided to produce a new review of her own Master Final Project by a different focus, discovering, however, dimensions which have been always there. This project titled One Day in LA, submitted itself like a personal travel in which its author approached to Los Angeles and its imaginaries by exploring some ways of life that take place in the multiple architectures of that provisional city. An experimental research whereby was possible to explore new scenarios which emerged by the combination of architectural techniques with others from different fields, like the films one. With the aim of starting a discourse about some political, social and cultural factors, which are universally valid, exemplified in this work in Los Angeles.

This paper aims to examine the Village 3G (Glintung Go Green) as a solution in achieving the goals contained in the program SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) made by the United Nations (United Nations). The author discusses environmental issues that form the basis of the creation of very complex issues such as health, hygiene, economics, and society. This research was conducted by the writer using a qualitative descriptive method with interview technique, documentation study with RW 23 Chair Glintung Bambang Irianto, and literature study, and the concept of community empowerment as a way of looking at the phenomena we observed. The author wants to know how the solution offered by Glintung Village in addressing environmental issues in the context of SDGs. In addition, the authors want to know the response of domestic and international communities to the idea of Kampung 3G which is used as a solution to realize the SDG program.

The paper analyses the vulnerabilities which can be brought about by the structure and trend of the foreign trade and the external debt, and by the exchange rate to the Romanian economy, in the period after our country's accession to the European Union. The structure and the trend of the current account can represent a cause of vulnerabilities for the sustainability of each country's economy. Therefore, the present article analyses the Romanian current account and its characteristics. Based on these findings, the author draws some conclusions regarding the possible effects of the vulnerabilities induced by the current account. Also, the author analyses the structure of the Romanian external debt on maturities and on creditors and points out the possible vulnerabilities generated affecting the evolution of the economy. Finally, in the article it is analysed the stability of the Romanian leu/euro exchange rate in the context of Romania's goal to join the eurozone.

Selbstorganisierte Kreisgespräche wie der Klassenrat sollen eine demokratische Mitbestimmungspraxis in Schulen anstoßen. Lehrkräften kommt dabei eine egalitäre und beratende Rolle zu. Viele Untersuchungen stellen jedoch die Verwirklichung des Anspruches substanzieller Mitbestimmung im Rahmen der schulischen Ordnung in Frage und machen auch auf paradoxe Verstrickungen des professionellen Handelns aufmerksam. In diesem Beitrag wird vor dem Hintergrund strukturtheoretischer Ansätze das professionelle Handeln im Klassenrat empirisch hinterfragt. Anhand ausgewählter Ergebnisse einer wissenssoziologischen Studie zum Klassenrat in der Grundschule werden Handlungsdilemmata offengelegt und ihr Potential für eine Transformation der Lehrerrolle aufgedeckt. (DIPF/Orig.) ; Self-organised circle dialogues like class councils are supposed to trigger democratic participation in schools. Teachers are assigned an equal and advising part in these councils. But there are many studies that query the claim of participation in school organisation and point out paradoxical structures of professional acting. In this article the author will use structural approaches to pedagogical professionalism to scrutinize professional acting in class councils in an empirical manner. Based on results of a qualitative research study about class councils in primary schools, the author will disclose ambivalent practice and its potential for a transformation of the role of the teacher in circle dialogues. A political thought is an area of legitimate contribution of competitive ideas. Liberalism is often considered as one of the most significant and influential paradigm of our times. The common acceptance of liberal conception of negative liberty can be acknowledged as a proof of this tendency. At the same time clearly visible is the renaissance of republicanism and the conception of active participation in governance. The liberal and republican assumptions have similar roots but different social practices. The aim of this paper is to examine in contrast liberal and republican conceptions of freedom. The author discusses main categories of both political traditions: state, commonwealth, common good, citizen, individualism, law, limited power and freedom itself. The author attempts to compere republicanism and liberalism as the competitive political paradigms to show the dilemmas of modern states and societies where there is no common consensus referring to definition of liberty.

"Ultimacy," it is argued, is not an area that academic studies in theology nor the study of religion can properly investigate; nevertheless, it is also illegitimate to argue therefore that claims to it are simply linguistic power plays. Using an autobiographical methodology, the author explores how their own "imagined" "mystical" experience and scholarly studies may shed light on approaching the study of religious experience, noting particularly work by Rudolf Otto, Robert Sharf, Gregory Shushan, and Ann Taves. Reflections are offered on studying religious experience, approaching ultimacy, and the relationship of theological and religious studies. Moreover, some critical and decolonial perspectives are brought to bear both on the author's own work, academic studies, and contemporary debates around studying what may be termed "mysticism" or religious experience. The author also argues that the autobiographical and reflexive model offered herein may be a useful perspective for scholarship in the study of religion. ; Published version

EN: Deeping of strong relations between Ukraine and the European Union resulted in meaningful changes in agriculture development and a strategic way of farms. The author notices that integration has caused the raising of the agricultural product export, but the import of value-added products overflows the internal market. The aim of the article is to base the main principles of the strategic development of agricultural market according to conditions of European integration. The author uses regular statistic methods to examine export-import volumes and implements strategic analysis to observe market threats and opportunities.

This article examines late nineteenth century and early twentieth century Muslim Ottoman women's journals. Drawing attention to the historical and social phenomenon of Ottoman Muslim women's print culture, the author argues that women's writings and activism around these journals functioned as a significant feminist public sphere that built a community of women's discourse. Women's journals established a real community of intellectual women writers and readers who overtly promoted a feminist agenda in the public sphere. Thus, they envisioned and created alternative roles for upper middle class and middle class Ottoman women. Contrary to the conventional narrative of Turkish feminism that identifies its origin with the Republican period, it was Ottoman women's periodicals and associations that laid the groundwork for future feminists in the Republican period. In providing an analysis of these magazines, the author explores a class of now nearly forgotten publications that, she argues, created a feminist discourse in their time.
