It reveals the importance of Kyrgyzstan's participation in the Eurasian Economic Union based on the preservation of national statehood and sovereignty in the domestic and foreign policy and the synchronized government regulation of the investment and business environment within the Eurasian Economic Union.In pursuing its national interests, Kyrgyzstan is trying to carry out a targeted balanced multi-vector foreign policy. At the same time Kyrgyzstan's foreign policy activities commensurate with its own potential and involvement in the world process. Viewed from the above, the following main goals of the modern foreign policy are put forward: strengthening the independence and sovereignty, ensuring the security and territorial integrity of the country, carrying out democratic transformations,strengthening the foundations of the constitutional order,protection of human rights and freedoms, creating favorable external conditions for a sustainable internal development,formation of a good neighborliness belt on the perimeter of the country borders, establishment and enhancement of the investment climate in the Republic.

This interview features a volunteer couple named Amy and Will Shaw who have each been involved with the Mill at Anselma since 2003. Together, they discuss the ins and outs of volunteering and working at the Mill, as well as, the changes that have been made since they arrived. In addition, the Shaw's discuss what it is like to interact with the Board of Trustees in a non-profit community and the changes they hope to be made in the future. Mr. Shaw goes into detail about all of the millers who lived at Anselma, as well as, the Mill's most well-known poet, Sara Louise Vickers. The Shaws also take time to discuss their favorite memories at the Mill and why it should be remembered and visited by the community. Denkmalpflege und -schutz befanden sich in der DDR in einem Gefüge divergierender Interessen, die es wiederholt auszuhandeln galt. Franziska Klemstein präsentiert ein differenziertes Bild denkmalpflegerischer Denk- und Arbeitsweisen sowie regionale Unterschiede im Zeitraum von 1952 bis 1975. Sie veranschaulicht das Handlungsgefüge der institutionellen Denkmalpflege im Spannungsfeld zwischen Kultur und Bauwesen und rückt exemplarisch Handlungsmöglichkeiten und die Auswirkungen konkreter Entscheidungen ausgewählter Akteur*innen wie Ludwig Deiters, Fritz Rothstein und Käthe Rieck ins Zentrum der Untersuchung.

The study includes picture sources and written records to fully discuss the history of ecclesiastical interiors as well as the stylistic development of the furnishings in the early modern period. In addition, the study explores aspects relating to the social and economic history. - Ausgehend von Bildquellen und schriftlichen Überlieferungen erörtert das Werk die Geschichte sakraler Interieurs und die stilistische Entwicklung des Mobiliars in der Frühen Neuzeit. ABSTRACT. The ecological diversity of benthic invertebrates from bottom trawl surveys was mapped for the Flemish Cap, a plateau of ~200 km radius in the northwest Atlantic. Species density (SpD), the exponential Shannon diversity index (eH′) and Heip's index of evenness (E~') were measured at different spatial scales. Continuous surfaces of each were created to 2000 m depth using predictive distribution models based on random forest (RF) algorithms. When fishing effort was included as an independent variable in the RF models, it was the most important predictor of sample SpD but unimportant in predicting eH′ and only a minor predictor of E~'. In the absence of a historical baseline, we used a novel approach to evaluate spatial impacts of fishing on diversity by simulating and comparing spatial SpD prediction surfaces using response data associated with different levels of fishing effort. Although it is not possible to fully evaluate the precise nature of the impact of fishing on the ecological diversity, our models have identified Sackville Spur, Flemish Pass and south of Flemish Cap as the areas of greatest impact. Combining minimum bottom salinity, annual primary production range, fishing effort and biomass of sponges and small gorgonian corals, resulted in the best performing generalized additive model, explaining 73% of the total variance in SpD. Although current closures to protect vulnerable marine ecosystems from the adverse impacts of bottom fishing activities protect an important part of the ecological diversity associated with the deeper communities, unique and representative habitats on top of the Cap remain unprotected. The recognition that all macroorganisms live in symbiotic association with microbial communities has opened up a new field in biology. Animals, plants, and algae are now considered holobionts, complex ecosystems consisting of the host, the microbiota, and the interactions among them. Accordingly, ecological concepts can be applied to understand the host-derived and microbial processes that govern the dynamics of the interactive networks within the holobiont. In marine systems, holobionts are further integrated into larger and more complex communities and ecosystems, a concept referred to as "nested ecosystems." In this review, we discuss the concept of holobionts as dynamic ecosystems that interact at multiple scales and respond to environmental change. We focus on the symbiosis of sponges with their microbial communities—a symbiosis that has resulted in one of the most diverse and complex holobionts in the marine environment. In recent years, the field of sponge microbiology has remarkably advanced in terms of curated databases, standardized protocols, and information on the functions of the microbiota. Like a Russian doll, these microbial processes are translated into sponge holobiont functions that impact the surrounding ecosystem. For example, the sponge-associated microbial metabolisms, fueled by the high filtering capacity of the sponge host, substantially affect the biogeochemical cycling of key nutrients like carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorous. Since sponge holobionts are increasingly threatened by anthropogenic stressors that jeopardize the stability of the holobiont ecosystem, we discuss the link between environmental perturbations, dysbiosis, and sponge diseases. Experimental studies suggest that the microbial community composition is tightly linked to holobiont health, but whether dysbiosis is a cause or a consequence of holobiont collapse remains unresolved. The article describes, using as a background the study cases of the sculptures of Bolívar in Bogotá and the Pibe in Santa Marta,the current problem of the sculptures in public spaces, when the definitions of monument and heritage are no longer comparable.As part of the problem, the article explores the relationship between production forms of the authoritarian memory expressedthrough the monuments, in the most common meaning of the term, and the contradiction expressed when the monuments areused as an expression of the popular culture. Some ideas about the role of the monuments in the construction of the publicspace are shown, as a scenario for the depiction of the political power. According to these considerations, a brief reflectionis presented about the future of these objects within the context of Colombia as well as the challenges for its conservation. ; El artículo presenta, a partir de los casos de estudio de las esculturas de Bolívar en la Plaza de Bolívar de Bogotá y del PibeValderrama en Santa Marta, el problema actual de las esculturas en espacio público, en un momento en que los conceptosde monumento y de patrimonio ya no pueden ser equiparables. This research aims to: (1) Examining the form of ulu lubuklinggau script for high school cultural arts learning materials. (2) Making a high school cultural arts module with the material of the ulu lubuklinggau script. (3) Testing the feasibility of the ulu lubuklinggau script material module for high school cultural arts learning materials. This research uses a qualitative descriptive methodological approach to examine the history, origin and form of the ulu lubuklinggau script which then the data with the Research and Development (R&D) methodology approach is processed into cultural arts learning material products. At the same time it aims to test the feasibility of the Ulu Lubuklinggau script learning material module. Based on the results of qualitative research and development research, it can be concluded as follows: (1) Lubuklinggau ulu script is one of the script varieties in the Rencong Nusantara script group which consists of several variants of Sumatran script. The study of the Lubuklinggau ulu script began after the discovery of the Gelumpay Manuscript at the Negeri Ulak Lebar site, which contains stories about teachings in Hinduism that teach how to meditate or meditate. However, the existence of the Lubuklinggau ulu script has only been known and studied by a small number of academics in Lubuklinggau City, which is considered less effective in sustainable preservation. (2) Module making as a cultural preservation technique is one of the effective strategies in preserving culture in the community. In making the learning material module of the Lubuklinggau ulu script, the needs analysis data showed that there was no special subject or special material that specifically discussed the Lubuklinggau ulu script in the scope of formal education. Therefore, the module was made by following the module making procedure and going through the product validation process. The result is a learning material module on typography of the Lubuklinggau ulu script consisting of three main materials, namely two-dimensional art, Lubuklinggau ulu script, and typography, which can be used as a learning resource in learning cultural arts in grade X high school. (3) The learning material module of the Lubuklinggau ulu script has been declared feasible because each stage of its manufacture is carried out systematically and in accordance with the module design procedure. The assessment results from media experts, material experts, class teachers, and participants showed excellent results with the category "Very Good". The design of this module aims to appreciate and preserve the cultural identity of the Lubuklinggau City community, as well as a response to the task of the education unit in preserving regional culture and teaching it to the next generation.

Čipkarstvo je važna sastavnica lokalnog identiteta i nematerijalne kulturne baštine Republike Hrvatske. Značaj čipkarstva očituje se u postojanju te tradicije diljem Hrvatske, ali i u njezinom očuvanju dugi niz godina. Postoji čak sedam lokaliteta na kojima se razvila tradicija izrade čipke od kojih su tri upisana na UNESCO-vu listu nematerijalne kulturne baštine. Pag, Hvar i Lepoglava glavni su centri čipkarstva u Hrvatskoj čija je čipka prepoznata diljem Europe. Osim u Hrvatskoj, čipkarstvo postoji i u mnogim drugim europskim država poput Italije, Slovenije, Mađarske, Estonije i dr. Zahvaljujući raznim festivalima čipke, domaćim i inozemnim, ostvaruju se međunarodne suradnje između država, ali i među čipkaricama različitih etničkih i religijskih skupina. Radovi od čipke izlažu se na različitim izložbama i u muzejima, ali se mogu naći izloženi i u mnogim domovima diljem Hrvatske. Čipkarstvo je rukotvorstvo čije se umijeće izrade prenosi s generacije na generaciju još od davne prošlosti, čime se omogućilo očuvanje tradicije sve do danas. Danas je čipkarstvo vrlo cijenjeno rukotvorstvo i važan dio lokalne kulture. Mnoge organizacije i dalje rade na revitalizaciji i očuvanju ove tradicije te potiču lokalno stanovništvo, posebice mlađe generacije, na sudjelovanje i stvaranje čipke, kako bi čipkarstvo nastavilo postojati i razvijalo se i dalje. ; Lace making is an important component of local identity and intangible cultural heritage of the Republic of Croatia. The importance of lace making has been manifested in the existence of that tradition throughout Croatia, but also in its preservation for many years. There are seven locations where this tradition has been developed and three of them have been listed on UNESCO's list of intangible cultural heritage. Pag, Hvar and Lepoglava are main centres of lace making in Croatia and their lace is recognized within the whole of Europe. Besides Croatia, lacemaking also exists in many other European countries such as Italy, Slovenia, Hungary, Estonia, etc. Thanks to various lace domestic and foreign festivals international cooperation has been established between countries but also among lacemakers of different ethnic and religious groups. Lace works have been exhibited on various exhibitions and in museums, but can also be found in many homes throughout Croatia. Lacemaking is a handicraft whose art of making has been passed down from generation to generation since the distant past, which has contributed to the preservation of this tradition to this day. Today, lacemaking is a highly valued handicraft and an important part of local culture. Many organizations continue to work to revitalize and preserve this tradition, and encourage the local population, especially the younger generation, to participate and create lace so that lacemaking can continue to exist and thrive.

Traditionally, historic preservation has aimed to protect "collective memory,"—references to a past accepted as commonly shared and collectively commemorated. Collective memory has been used to construct narratives that define communities and urge specific rules and values. In recent years, we have come to see that "collective memory" is indeed "curated memory," and that memorializing it in public spaces, parks and squares has enabled the assertion of power by the curators over others and has often excluded those others from the stories of the nation. The thousands of statues and namings in honor of the leaders of the Confederacy make this point. If a city's greatness is found in the quality of its public spaces, the stature and bearing of Confederate memorials there must cause us to rethink our preservation philosophies, as continuing to honor such repugnant figures denies the humanity and worth of those who are targets of the unspoken, hateful messages from these memorials, which undoubtedly inspires equally hateful acts. As we rethink the idea of "collective memory," the real challenge will be enabling our institutions (legal, political and social), as well as individual designers and planners, to rewrite the narratives to reveal memories of a diverse people. ; Tradicionalmente, la preservación histórica ha tenido como objetivo proteger la "memoria colectiva" referencias a un pasado aceptado como comúnmente compartido y conmemorado colectivamente. La memoria colectiva se ha utilizado para construir narrativas que definen comunidades e instan a reglas y valores específicos. En los últimos años, hemos llegado a ver que la "memoria colectiva" es de hecho "memoria curada", y que su memoria en espacios públicos, parques y plazas ha permitido la afirmación del poder de los curadores sobre los demás y, a menudo, ha excluido a esos otros de las historias de la nación. Las miles de estatuas y nombres en honor a los líderes de la Confederación lo demuestran. Si la grandeza de una ciudad se encuentra en la calidad de sus espacios públicos, la estatura y el porte de los monumentos confederados debe hacernos recon­siderar nuestras filosofías de preservación, ya que continuar honrando figuras tan repugnantes niega la humanidad y el valor de aquellos que son objetivos de los mensajes tácitos y llenos de odio de estos monumentos, que indudablemente inspiran actos igualmente odiosos. A medida que repensamos la idea de "memoria colectiva", el verdadero desafío será permitir que nuestras instituciones (legales, políticas y sociales), así como diseñadores y planificadores individuales, reescriban las narra­tivas para revelar los recuerdos de un pueblo diverso.

The article considers the role of Ukrainian literature in the preservation of native culture in Australia of immigrants from Ukraine in the first wave of settlement and the decline of interest in literature in the country of emigrants in the next waves of arrival. The increased attention of the first Ukrainian immigrants to fiction as a unique factor in preserving the mentality in the multicultural society, the formation of public identity, the development of worldview and cognitive, socio-humanitarian, sociopolitical beliefs of the community, each individual. Stages, forms, methods, approaches in the organization of mass literary education of Ukrainian settlers, the activity of literary, non-literary (cultural, sports, professional), commercial and noncommercial structures of the community in the organization of literary process is revealed: selection for reading of classical literature, financial support of writers, participation in printing literary texts, distributing, filling libraries with literature, etc. The contribution of book lovers' circles to the unity of the community, improvement of communication, personal relations, raising interest in reading Ukrainian literature, comprehension of the content of what is read is proved. The role of writers, writers' associations, organizations, literary studios, scientists, public activists in the development of cultural, artistic, literary, educational processes has been studied. The special role of Ukrainian studies centers of universities in Australia in the development of scientific foundations of education, literary studies simultaneously with the solution of economic and economic development, integration into the civil society of the state of Australia. The isolation of the factors of Ukrainian studies from the basis of Ukrainian studies is substantiated. Attention is paid to modern literary studies of the young gener ation of Ukrainian scientists born in Australia (field theory, network, art aesthetics, etc.) through the prism of postmodernist ideas of Western European culture. It is noted about the integration of the Ukrainian literary network into the Australian socio-cultural space. The connections and cooperation of Ukrainian studies centers in Australia with literary institutions of Ukraine, international scientific literary studies, Ukrainian studies centers are highlighted. The emergence of conflicts, conflicts of interest, desires, understanding of opposing views that appear in the process of communication between Ukrainian immigrants of the first wave of settlement and the representatives of the next stages, the preconditions of which are based on objective and subjective conditions. It is noted that the joint solution of inconsistencies based on cooperation and the development of constructive decisions is far from a positive clarification. Challenges, inconsistencies of the emigrant community of the first and subsequent waves of settlement, difficulties of preservation of identity, language, traditions, culture in the multicultural environment are found out.

Building on recent works that stress the importance of stakeholder engagement in partnerships, we propose a novel benchmarking framework for the evaluation of public–private partnerships. This framework describes mutuality and the preservation of organisational identity as the ideal characteristics of partnerships because they, in turn, encourage stakeholder support for public–private partnerships. Applying this framework to infrastructure public–private partnerships in Ireland, we note that mutual accountability has been weakened following the financial crisis. Meanwhile, consultation with clients such as key public–private partnership stakeholders, which would help articulate organisational identities, remains patchy across the education, justice and health public–private partnership that we investigate. Nonetheless, there are sectoral differences. In education, consultation centres on school principals while ignoring teaching staff and trade unions. In justice, attention is focused primarily on judges. Similarly, in health sector public–private partnerships, there is a strong focus on clinicians. Overall, private sector-driven consultation efforts are primarily pragmatic, with a focus on preventing delays and the dissatisfaction of key clients who could prevent future projects from materialising. We suggest that the combination of this calculated approach to consultation, together with the delegation of public–private partnership contracting to an arm's-length government agency, is likely to promote a similar depoliticisation of Irish public–private partnerships as has been observed in other countries. We argue that the potentially harmful stakeholder disengagement that this might encourage can be addressed through a concerted set of measures focusing on improved transparency of decision-making, as well as frameworks that mandate client and public consultation. Points for practitioners Research has highlighted the importance of mutual accountability and the preservation of organisational identity in ensuring that public–private partnerships attract public participation and receive public approval. We investigate public–private partnerships in education, justice and health in Ireland, a country that is widely considered an exemplary public–private partnership practitioner. We observe that consultation by private sector public–private partnership participants with client organisations in these sectors is largely motivated by a desire to prevent hold-ups and secure future business rather than seeking to engage with a broad range of users and stakeholders. Together with the existing lack of evidence of benefits from public–private partnerships, this situation is likely to lead to dissatisfaction with the policy. Indeed, political parties critical of public–private partnerships have been able to significantly increase their share of the vote in a recent national election. Our conclusion is that such dissatisfaction is avoidable if the Irish government improves transparency around public–private partnership decision-making while strengthening requirements for public and client consultation.
