In this Indigenous-grounded, transformative sequential explanatory study, the author examined the influence of ethnic-racial identity exploration on school connectedness in a sample of (n = 41) Native American youths attending a public school on a federally recognized Indian reservation. The students were enrolled in a Native American cultural immersion program. Participants completed a survey packet including a demographic form, an adapted cultural connectedness survey, and the MAC 5-A-Short Version six-item school connectedness subscale. While the results indicated that ethnic-racial identity exploration slightly impacted school connectedness, they were not deemed statistically significant. The author also captured youth participants' perspectives to develop a deeper understanding of how ethnic-racial identity exploration impacted school connectedness, identifying eight categories. These findings may help inform a broader development and application of a Native American way of knowing instructional model that contributes to strengthening school connectedness for Native American youths through ethnic-racial identity exploration.

AbstractUsing an approach situated at the intersection of cultural memory studies and (critical) heritage studies, with a focus on the ambivalent socialist heritage of socialist statues and monuments and their changing role in postsocialist public spaces, this article engages with the postcommunist strategies of reckoning with the past in Romania and Bulgaria in the period 1990–2020. Comparing the kinds of monumental memory of communism that were established in these countries, the author discusses how each dealt with their ambivalent socialist heritage through a public memory policy comprising three combined strategies: removal; preservation; and the replacement of communist heroes with anticommunist counter-monuments. The author concludes that stances toward the socialist heritage manifest various tensions in terms of the types of statues that were removed or, alternately, allowed to remain; of the opposition between local and national decisions as well as between the official approach and citizens' perspectives; and, finally, of aesthetic versus political criteria.

The author of the paper analyses modern scientific works in which the All-Russian Local Council 1917–1918 is examined. Moreover, the historiography of the regional (district) councils that took place in the Russian Church during the Local Council and the Civil war (All-Ukranian in Kyiv, Siberian in Tomsk, South-Eastern in Stavropol and also the attempt to convene the Council in the Far East), is researched. The author also talks about the key book series and publishing projects that have been accomplished during the last two decades. In the frames of these projects the representing and the investigation of the 1917–1918 Local Council's herritage have been carried out. The works of individual scientists are discussed briefly, first of all of those historians who have their one views and their own approach on the place of the Local Council in the history of Russia and Russian Church. Achievements and failures in publishing Council heritage are assessed.

As part of a relatively new notion — "queering Holocaust studies" — the article deals with the issue of nonheteronormative forms of sexuality among Polish male former concentration camp prisoners. The analysis of selected excerpts from Mieczysław Karwacki's book Życie wśród śmierci [lit. Life among death] (1999) is conducted with the use of the queer category as well as scholarly reflection on the topic of wartime sexuality. This strategy shows how crucial transgressive themes (concerning the homo- and heterosexual experiences of the author, touching upon his physicality and masculinity) are for the book, and how the author challenges the constraining, binary division into "female" and "male" topics of concentration camp literature. A queer reading of the book by Karwacki — someone hitherto anonymous, unknown to both readers and researchers — reveals the need to split open the martyrological, heteronormative model of war memoirs and to incorporate this kind of content into concentration-camp discourse in Poland.

The main aim of this research was to estimate the level and distribution of optimism among analysts preparing stock market recommendations. A secondary goal was to analyze the relationship between optimism and socio-demographic variables such as age, education, and professional experience. The author used the Received Life Orientation Test (LOT-R) to test optimism. At the same time, the paper attempted to compare the results of optimism research using the psychological tests carried out by the author with previous research that perceived optimism as the difference between forecast and reality. According to the survey, individual investors in Poland are characterized by an average level of optimism of 14.38 points according to the LOT-R test, where the average level of optimism ranges from 14 to 18 points. The research did not find that the level of optimism was influenced by such socio-demographic characteristics as age, experience, or education.

Abstract
The author enters an already old dispute, that is, whether a countеrpart of the notion of philosophy could be encountered in the traditional India, upholds the view that the term ānvīkṣikī (lit. "investigation") was nearest to it and traces its meaning along the texts on dharma, politics, poetics and philosophy properly. Two main avenues to the understanding of philosophy's vocations in India have been paved in the Mānavadharmaśāstra, along with the commentaries thereon and by Kamandaki, the author of the Nītisāra (as the knowledge of Ātman) and in the Arthaśāstra and the Nyāya texts composed by Vātsyāyana and Uddyotakara (as a metascience helping the other branches of knowledge bear their fruits). Therefore philosophy in India as well was regarded as the duality of ideological and methodological constituents, while the emphasis on analytic practice in the definitions of ānvīkṣikī (Wittgenstein's conception of philosophy as a practice is also referred to in this context) paves a good promise for comparative philosophy.

The article specifies the place of contrastive linguistics in linguistic
research, how it is different from the other linguistic disciplines based on language
comparison: comparative-historical linguistics, translation studies and typology. In
particular, the author comments on one of the main concepts of contrastive linguistics
formulated by A.A. Reformatsky: when comparing facts of language, one must study those descriptive categories in which these facts are presented in each of the languages.
Using a number of examples of Russian (conjunctions a to, prichem and the
preposition krome), the author shows that comparing languages can lead to a revision
of the categorial apparatus in a particular grammar area of one of them. This becomes
possible due to the development of new contrastive analysis methods, for instance,
unidirectional and bidirectional analysis. Thus, contrastive linguistics can solve not
only practical problems, mostly related to foreign languages teaching, but also
contribute to theoretical language description.

This essay argues that George Lamming's In the Castle of My Skin presents an aesthetic quest into an alternative Caribbean subjecthood built on the capacity of feeling. Studying various dimensions of affectivity along with what Raymond Williams called "structures of feeling," it examines the feeling of "my people" in its "dominant," "residual," and "emergent" dimensions. The author considers first how the dominant image of "my people" as "the enemy" gains consent from the characters and supports the hegemony of the ruling class. He then explores the African past illustrated in the haunted dream of Pa as the residual aspect of "my people" and the characters' negative feelings toward it. Finally, taking Trumper's Pan-African vision of "my people" as an emergent cultural form, the author analyzes how the novel shows the ways in which the form falls short of what Lamming identifies as "the peasant sensibility," a Caribbean tradition of feeling toward the land.

The article presents data from a theoretical and empirical analysis of the parameters that are significant for the full development of the problem of self-realization: self-attitude ("self-compassion"), coping behavior, resilience, vitality. The results of the factor analysis of the self-realization questionnaire are presented, which make it possible to identify the three main components of the concept under study, and the self-realization analysis scheme is also indicated, including the determinants and consequences/results of the process.Based on a theoretical analysis, the author concludes that there are disparate points of view on the structure of self-realization and the presence of parameters that are not included in complex models, but have convincingly proven connections with the phenomenon under study. The author has introduced some parameters into the structure of the self-realization construct, which were previously expressed by other researchers, and also presents a statistical justification for this inclusion.

Malcolm X's appeal to the African Heads of State at the 1964 Organization of African Unity (OAU) meeting was necessary to strengthen the Pan-African bonds between Africans and African-Americans during that time. Following the anti-communism push in the post-WWII United States, many Black leaders disassociated with the anti-colonial movements in Africa and began to have a more domestic focus in their pursuit of freedom. While Malcolm X had consistently viewed the struggle of African-Americans as connected to the independence struggle of continental Africans, his 1964 appeal was a high mark. Through a comparative analysis of the speeches of the African Heads of State from this OAU summit, the author explores the way those leaders addressed the African-American, South African, and Palestinian struggles differently. Based on that study, the author concludes that Malcolm's appeal to these leaders was necessary if the African-American problem was going to gain more attention from them.

The article presents the military relations between Poland and the Soviet Union in the years 1921-1939, from the end of the war between Poland and the Bolshevik Russia until the beginning of World War II. Its content has been divided into four subchapters, in the first of which the author analyzes the state of research on the topic in question and the state of preservation of sources in Polish and foreign archives. In the following subsections, the author presents the military relations between Poland and the USSR in three periods: in the years 1921-1926, 1926-1935 and 1935-1939. The last subsection is key to the undertaken research problem. It contains findings on the changes in the mutual military relations to the disadvantage of Poland, in connection with the rapid expansion and modernization of the Red Army and the difficulties of the Polish military intelligence in their assessment and difficulties in recognizing the reconstructed cooperation between the USSR and Germany.

In the article, the author continues to study the features of the domestic form of government, dwelling on the content of the principle of separation of powers and its implementation in the public administration system of the Russian Federation. An analysis of the evolutionary development of the domestic form of government made it possible to identify the essential features and characteristic properties of the Russian system of public authority. Having considered the constitutional and legal status of the highest bodies of state power and administration - President of the Russian Federation, Government of the Russian Federation, Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation, as well as their functioning and interaction with each other in the light of the constitutional amendments of 2020, the author substantiates the model of the form of state government that has developed in the Russian Federation, which he proposes to call as constitutional monocracy.

Differences in the definitions of digital financial assets, digital currency and cryptocurrencies cause difficulties not only for law enforcement officers, but also in the science of Criminal Law. The author's research has shown that the term "cryptocurrency" is not included in the concept of digital currency, and moreover cryptocurrencies are not digital financial assets. Cryptocurrencies are defined by the author as a virtual asset that can be an object of financial activity and, together with digital rights and digital currency, all types of virtual assets are involved in monetary circulation, and, accordingly, the relations that develop in this area are subject to criminal protection as a type of financial activity. The author substantiates the conclusion that the list of objects protected by criminal law should include economic (financial) relations, part of which are legal relations in the sphere of turnover of virtual assets. The place of such legal relations in the section of crimes against the economy has been determined.

The article is devoted to the study of the current state of scientific and educational relations between Russia and the states of the Eurasian Economic Union. The current mechanisms of cooperation in this area are studied, conjunctural and systemic barriers to integration are identified, taking into account deep changes in the geopolitical and geo-economic sense, and the prospects for overcoming them are assessed. Special attention is paid to the study of promising cooperative projects that, according to the author, can not only give a "fresh" impetus to the general practice of scientific and educational interaction in the EAEU, but also bring the cooperation of the states of the region to a new level of interaction, provide the much-needed complexity to the entire project of Eurasian integration. In conclusion, the author attempts to build further projections of integration in the field of education, science and training in the Eurasian direction.

The article is dedicated to the 50-th anniversary of the Slavonic Languages Department of the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Regional Studies at Lomonosov Moscow State University. The article describes the life of the department through the eyes of a teacher, who has had the luck of being a member of its staff all these years.
With teaching Bulgarian as an example, the article traces the transformation of the department from being an interfaculty one attributed to the Philological Faculty to gaining the status of a department that produces graduates with majors in Slavonic languages at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Regional Studies. The author describes challenges that the department has faced and analyses the unfortunate reasons why the department has stopped administering majors in Slavonic languages.
The author concludes that the department is a living organism directly related to the country's life and depending on its strategy in development of education.
