In 2003, in Argentina has been formed and strengthened the new regime associated with the names of the last two presidents - Nestor and Cristina Kirchner. Having undergone a certain evolution of the tenth anniversary of its existence, the model of the organization of political and socio-economic life came to the crucial stage when the principal becomes a question of whether it will continue in the future, or in the country would be a change of the course. The author aims to show the stages of its formation, to highlight the main features, to outline possible scenarios and prospects.

Cooperative ITS for road traffic offer potentials regarding road safety and traffic efficiency that go significantly beyond what can be achieved with isolated vehicle and infrastructure systems. However, besides functional and technical aspects there are legal and institutional, financial, political and culture barriers that need to be addressed and must be overcome in order to successfully deploy cooperative services on a broad level throughout Europe. This paper contains an analysis of identified barriers and their possible solutions on the basis of the eCoMove project and several research projects that deal with to C-ITS implementation.

One of the greatest Romantic historians and immensely popular during his lifetime, Jules Michelet (1798-1874) fell into disfavour among the positivist historians who came after him and who regarded his work with disdain as "literature." In the 1920s and 30s, however, he began to be rediscovered and rehabilitated by the members of the influential Annales school. The objects of Michelet's interest—living conditions, popular mentalities, laws and the arts, the historian's relation to the objects of his study, no less than political history—have since come to occupy a central place in modern historical research.

Linking the lives of prisoners to the political economy and to movements for social change, McCoy depicts a history of oppression in which prisoners paid dearly for the reciprocal failures of the institution and of the reform vision. Revealing a deeply problematic institu- tion entrenched in the landscape of Western society, McCoy redraws the boundaries within which we understand the penitentiary's influence.

Conventional knowledge on the effectiveness of gender quotas for enhancing women's political participation has, to date, been unanimous on the superiority of quotas in proportional representation (PR) systems. Yet this view overlooks the many possible alternatives to implementing gender quotas in single-member district (SMD) systems. This paper studies gender quotas (or temporary special measures, TSMs) in SMD electoral systems. Drawing on case examples from Uganda, France, India and elsewhere, we refute the myth of the incompatibility of quotas in SMDs. Our research investigates and presents multiple ways in which quotas can be successfully implemented in SMDs.

This article seeks to describe the strategic use of a rights discourse by domestic and international actors involved in the negotiation and ratification processes of free trade agreements between Colombia, the United States, and the European Union. We suggest that some of the differences between both FTAs and the processes leading up to their approval and ratification can be attributed to the ability of relevant actors to build and disseminate rights-based arguments in order to develop like-minded political coalitions, and other institutional and contextual characteristics. Currently Kazakhstan is among the 7 major world grain exporters, but it is the only country without an access to the sea. Therefore the complex logistics, high tariffs and the long terms of delivery make Kazakh grain expensive and noncompetitive on the world market.Authors offer to carry out the comprehensive analysis and assess the prospects of grain transportation routes taking into account financial and political risks. Lowering risks through diversification of transportation routes is possible. Statistical methods, expert marks and solution of the production-transportation problem are used as instruments of shipments stability analysis.

Dear Ada is a Feminists in Games supported project which invites members of the videogame community to submit letters on the subject of gender and games. Letter writing as part of a long feminist tradition of life writing is chronicled by Margaretta Jolly in In Love and Struggle, which spans generations of writers including letters between mothers and daughters, queer love letters, political movements and letters after the advent of email. This article reflects on the Dear Ada letters and how the project is situated within a larger feminist epistolary history.

The field of research ethics offers a new approach to addressing the issues created by the unchecked development of technology. Research ethics could make a contribution, both substantively and procedurally, to help create a framework for reviewing the social and political consequences of actual or proposed technological developments. This paper puts forth a proposal for a principled expansion of research ethics' jurisdiction, specifically a move from "Research Involving Humans" to "Research Affecting Humans", and undertakes a case study of "Web 2.0" to analyze whether a philosophy of technology based on research ethics might work.

This essay is a historical analysis which compares the common cause as well as differing viewpoints from the people with regards to the Catholic Church. The main focus is on the law that required it to be under complete control of the state. Both time periods that have been analysed below, had the ultimate aim of separating the state from religion. The varying political views that were followed managed to alienate the relationship with the Catholic Church in Albania, this was especially the case during times of Communism. Economic authorities control all through the television media freely. This study uses a theory of political economy, power, television as mass media, and postmodern to analyze the phenomenon of X Factor in Indonesia.
