The article analyzes the ideal factors of modern politics in the Russian Federation. The author focused his attention on the concept "ideology" and "identity" as the key features of Russian politics. It emphasizes the importance of a new phenomenon of indoctrination as well as the importance of ideology in the preservation of identity in contemporary politics.

The article deals with the problem of emergence and functioning of youth fascist groups in the USSR. The main reasons of their origination and the specific character of their functioning and ideological standing have been revealed by the author. The conclusions on peculiarities of the world outlook of the fascist groups members are given.

In this forthright expression of his opinion, the author warns us against ill-informed interpretation of Chinese modernisation when it is seen as a threat to the established powers.
