"This book is a result of a joint conference, which was held from 18th-22nd July 2017 under the theme Religion, Citizenship and Development: Southern African Perspectives.'The theme of the conference was adopted in order to underline the importance and significance of religion in the socio-economic development of people in the world generally and in Southern and Central Africa in particular. The papers in the book are divided into two volumes. Volume one consists of papers which directly discuss religion and development in one form or another. The second volume contains papers that discuss religion and other pertinent issues related to development. The papers are grouped into sub-themes for ease of reference. These include Citizenship and Development, Migration and Development, Disability and Development, Pentecostal Churches and Development and Religion and Society. All in all, despite a divergence of sub-themes in volume two, all point to issues to do with the role of religion in development in Southern and Central Africa today."--Publisher's description

L'objectif de cet article est de mettre en évidence une intersection entre la recherche sur les spiritualités contemporaines et la recherche dans le domaine de la religion numérique. Le concept de la production entre pairs basée sur les communs ("commons-based peer production"), développé dans les domaines des technologies numériques sociales et de la collaboration en réseau, offre une alternative à l'analogie largement utilisée du supermarché spirituel, là où il s'agit de décrire et d'expliquer l'éclectisme présent dans quelques spiritualités contemporaines.

'Der Beitrag diskutiert das Konzept von Geschichts- und Vergangenheitspolitik und analysiert ihre gesellschaftlichen Funktionen, Medien und Akteure. Dabei fasst der Artikel die politikwissenschaftliche Diskussion zu Geschichts- und Vergangenheitspolitik überblicksartig zusammen und offeriert begriffliche Modifikationen. Im Anschluss daran wird das Politikfeld in den Rahmen eines konflikttheoretischen Gesellschaftsmodells gestellt. Geschichtspolitische Konflikte reflektieren einerseits die politisch-kulturelle Konstellation einer pluralistischen Gesellschaft, sie produzieren andererseits diese Konfliktstruktur stets aufs Neue. Geschichtspolitische Diskurse sind offene Prozesse und können nicht durch totalisierende Deutungen geschlossen werden. Geschichts- und Vergangenheitspolitik sind Bestandteil des gesellschaftlichen Kampfes um die kulturelle Hegemonie.' (Autorenreferat)

Ecofamilism proposes a new analytical framework, moving beyond ecofeminism, based on Western feminism and Christian theology, to illuminate Taiwanese women's motivations and how they understand their role in the environmental movement. Based on extensive interviews with women founders, leaders, and members of six non-governmental, often religious-based, organizations from 1990-2015, the work presents contemporary issues in Taiwan from the perspectives of social anthropology, geography, inter-religious cooperation, and global ethics. Ecofamilism offers a new way of approaching life in contemporary Asia, engaging more precisely with while authentically portraying the experiences of Taiwanese women-whose gender roles are ancillary to motivations of family, religion, and society. Its key concept of ecofamilism pairs the notions of ecology and family while drawing on Chinese religio-cultural traditions of responsibility to the family to illuminate ecologically responsible positions toward society, environment, and all living beings
