China's political development after the CPC's 13th National Congress

The author examines political development in China one year after the CPC's (Communist Party of China) National Congress was held (between 25 October to 1 November 1987). He inquires what kind of a political reform the CPC leadership planned to make, what actions were taken during the first year after the decision and what this political reform programme means.
