This paper aims to explore the theme of art in Helmuth Plessner's philosophical anthropology and show the possibilities of its use in the analysis of artistic creation and artwork. The article is divided into three parts: in the first part, it presents the background of Plessner's anthropological project and the intersection of his philosophy with Edmund Husserl's phenomenology. This strategy enables the synergy of both approaches which can be used for reflection of art. The second part displays the scope and ingenuity of Plessner's approach through a selection of texts where he addresses art. And finally, the third part delves into a functional elaboration of the anthropology of an artwork, specifically, using Max Beckmann as an example, into the question of anthropological foundations in art making, and the question of new form in art. For the latter question, I use the approach to architecture as an example relying on corporeality and Umwelt as guiding concepts. This analysis provides, on the one hand, description of anthropologically significant phenomena of artistic production of the first half of the twentieth century, and on the other hand, reveals functional determinations of corporeality, the world, and resonance with the world, the so-called equilibrium, which can be used to understand the artwork, and artistic production in the creation of a new form in art.

This book reconstructs, from bothhistorical and theoretical points of view, Leibniz's geometrical studies, focusing in particular on the research Leibniz carried out in his final years. The work's main purpose is to offer a better understanding of the philosophy of space and in general of the mature Leibnizean metaphysics. This is the first ever, comprehensive historical reconstruction of Leibniz's geometry.

This work argues that teleological motives lie at the heart of Kant's critical philosophy and that a precise analysis of teleological structures can both illuminate the basic strategy of its fundamental arguments and provide a key to understanding its unity. It thus provides, through an examination of Kant's major writings, a detailed interpretation of his claim that philosophy in the true sense must consist of a teleologia rationis humanae.

The author reports on a conference of the Asian and Comparative Philosophy Society of Australasia held on 23-24 September 1990 at St Mary's College, University of Melbourne. He notes that the study of Asian philosophies in Australia, which are mostly lodged in a religious institutional framework, has an identity problem, not belonging to any one traditional discipline. "Uzbek is one of the largest languages in the Turkic language family. The origins of the Turkic language, as well as the Uzbek language, date back to the centuries BC. So, since that time, this language has been developing as a Turkic language, including Uzbek. The most developed period of this language is the XV century, the period when Hazrat Navai lived and worked. It should be noted that our ancestor Navai laid the foundation for the written masterpieces of the Uzbek language. The written traditions of the Uzbek language have been constantly developed by other poets and writers after Navai. " If the origin of the Uzbek language dates back to the centuries before our era, then military terms should be found in folklore, ancient fairy tales and epics, in the works of many of our ancient ancestors, poets and writers who lived before the time of Navoi.

Motivations of Māori heritage language learners are explored within this qualitative study. Te reo Māori (the Māori language) is currently classed as endangered (Reedy et al., 2011), which calls for the exploration of the motivational experiences of Māori heritage language learners. A total of 19 interviews with beginner, intermediate and advanced level learners were conducted. Results demonstrated how Māori heritage learners were motivated to learn due to their cultural heritage connection to the language and to other ingroup members. This study explores some of the motivations why Māori heritage language learners learn te reo Māori. For this group of indigenous language learners, cultural and language revitalisation are tied to language motivation. Furthermore, the ability to participate in cultural practices was central to language motivations.
