На основе анализа листовок сибирских организаций РСДРП начала XX в. рассматривается их отношение к сибирскому регионализму, в частности к сибирскому областничеству. ; The article is based on the analysis of the leaflets of Russian Social Democratic Labor Party (RSDLP) Siberian organizations of the beginning of 20 century. The author examined their attitude to the Siberian regionalism, in particular to the Siberian oblastnichestvo.

The article focuses on researching contradictory character of transnational corporation's activity (TNC), as one of the more powerful subjects of international economy. In terms of inspecting extremely opposite sentences of native and beyond the frontier researchers concerning to exposing positive and negative moments transnational corporation's activity, author gives objective and complicated estimation to the grade of TNC's influence on receiving countries.

The article deals with the essence, form and structure of technology and the role of the same in the society from a perspective of humanitarian and philosophical discourse. The author states that technology, while having activity-related nature, is one of the modern specialized forms of activity development. Modern technologies related to the socio-cultural context of the epoch determine social importance of technique.

The negative vote of the French population to the European Constitution shocked the European politics. It shifted the power constellations within the Union. By giving historical examples, the author explains that the refusal of the French population is not a new phenomenon. As a result, the article suggests to slow down the European integration process in order to prevent further setbacks.

Using the theory of kinship as an example, this essay argues that the dominant understanding of cultural construction is inadequate. The author argues that recent cultural theory lacks an account of the unconscious, that recent psychoanalytic thought lacks a theory of kinship, and that both are in fact necessary for a post-structuralist understanding of the proposition that all social norms are culturally constructed.

AbstractIn this article, the moral values underlying humanitarian principles are analysed. What were these original moral values? Have they changed? To what extent are they in danger today? Has humanity itself become an instrumental value? To answer these questions, the author examines the humanitarian discourse: firstly, how these values have been described by humanitarians themselves, and secondly, how they are used by humanitarians in specific contexts.

AbstractWhat happens when the research inquiry is complete and has determined which reframes will be most successful in improving public understanding of an issue and advancing policy goals? Simple dissemination of research findings is not sufficient to improve the communications capacity of the field. The author explains how cognitive science and social movements literatures form the foundation of this field‐building practice of strategic framing pedagogy.

Employing Actor-Network Theory as an analytical framework, this article explores presumptions of reality, power and authority expressed by the Bush collectif. The article demonstrates both successes and failures of the Bush administration's attempts to define the terms and contexts of its actions. The author discusses the Obama administration's success in building of a strong network of alliances and challenges towards its maintenance.

The author of this study proposed two alternative methods for transcribing words with emphasis into braille and compared the use of the symbols for emphasis with the current braille code. The results showed that students were faster at locating words presented in one of the alternate formats, but that there was no difference in students' accuracy in identifying the indicators and naming the words with emphasis.

- The author examines the ways in which cultural heritage is used in the art cities. The evidence from research work on the characteristics of visitors of four museums of Rome are shown. Two types emerge: the mass tourist "with a collective look" and the self-directed "romantic" tourist. By analyzing a large array of statistical data and the results of own observations, the author evaluates the degree of the effect of the financial-economic crisis of the personnel potential of Ukraine's mining-metallurgical complex, indicates the main tendencies inherent in the labor market of the branch under modern conditions, and proposes some measures aimed at overcoming the crisis phenomena.

The author determines changes in the attitude of Ukraine's economically active population to business, as well as the level of its readiness to business. The structure of stimulating motives to the economic activity in the sphere of business and small enterprise is analyzed, and the social opinion of the population's able-bodied part as for the perspectives of the development of business in Ukraine is determined.

The article is based on the materials of both a sampling inspection of households which was made by the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine and the monitoring of social changes in the Ukrainian society carried out by the Institute of Sociology of the NASU. The author focuses on the analysis and comparison of sociological and statistical indices of the material state of households in Ukraine.

The author discusses the problem of social inequality in big Polish cities. He bases his reflections on the results of empirical studies carried out in Wrocław. His main thesis is that there is a growing connection between the urban space and the class-cultural differentiation between the inhabitants of various parts of the city. His reflections refer to the tradition of sociological critical reflection.
