Выявляются наиболее значимые проблемы и противоречия реализации государственной политики памяти на современном этапе. ; The article examines the topical issues of the current condition of the state policy of the Russian Federation on the formation and preservation of historical memory. The author determines the most important problems and contradictions of the implementation of the state memory politics at the present stage.

The author does justice to a subject often mentioned, yet rarely studied. He succeeds in its purpose, i.e., providing "as genuine a picture as possible of the censorship of literature after the 1979 Revolution" followed by discussing "the effects of this unique censorship regime on the Iranian literature of the time" (9). Drawing from his experience as a censored reader, writer, and publisher, he begins with an illuminating account of his experience as a child and a teenager in (post)revolutionary Iran.

The article is a contribution to the ongoing series on the future of reformed capitalism. The author attempts to shed some light on the past and the present of capitalism as reinstated in Poland over the years 1989-2020 and on its turn to illiberal democracy since 2015. At the end, the article draws some conclusions on what revisions and additions may be needed in the liberal social-democratic agenda to help it replace the present illiberal regime in Poland.

The article explores the context important for the analysis of Lotman's talk at the seminar on the problem of semiogenesis and functional specialization of cerebral hemispheres as a model of intellectual processes, which was held in Tartu. Forty years later, the author anal­yses changes in the viewpoints on the proposed model, taking into account the data of experi­mental neuroscience. The article emphasizes the fundamental value and topicality of Yuri Lotman's ideas on the production of meaning in individual and cross-cultural space.

The article concerns the legitimacy of cooperatism in the perspective of civilization changes. The author points to the hitherto tasks posed to cooperatism in the economic, socio-cultural and political spheres. Emphasising their topicality, she also sees the need to include nature conservation activities in the activities of cooperatives. The confrontation of the ideological assumptions underpinning cooperative activity with the contemporary challenges of poverty, democracy formation and environmental protection forms the basis for the conclusion on the current relevance of cooperatism.

This study is intended to map the state of morale in the Czechoslovak People's Army in the last two decades of its existence. Using Jacques van Doorn's methodological framework, the author compares the general demands of the military profession with the reality of the Czechoslovak People's Army. A significant finding is an overwhelming influence of military intervention in August 1968 on the subsequent morale of the army. Its members were no longer able to unite their interests within the organisation of the army.

The article deals with such type of intertextual relations as narrative palimpsest. Its role in the poetics of non-classical artistry, where it has a special status – the status of the cultural code, is studied. On the example of two works (F. Sologub's "The Petty Devil" and S. Sokolov's "School for Fools"), which represent the narrative of abnormal consciousness, the author tries to show that F. Sologub's text became a palimpsest pretext for the work of S. Sokolov.

Taking a proposal of a parliamentary group in the Landtag of the Saarland as a starting point, the paper discusses pros and cons as well as legal options to criminalize bribery in the context of party meetings that select candidates for general elections . The author argues that it is advisable to extend the criminal law to that effect . In this regard, well-defined new provisions in the German Political Parties Act are preferable to a general clause in the Crim- inal Code .

The article discusses the role of illegal drug trafficking in Pakistani-Afghan relations. The author explores the emergence and development of drug production in the zone of Pashtun tribes on the Afghan-Pakistani border. Attention is also paid to drug production in Pakistan in the 1980s. In the 21st century Pakistan is a part of two Afghan drug-trafficking routes (the Balkan Route and the Southern Route), allowing illegal drug shipments to Europe, Southeast Asia, Australia and Oceania, as well as to North America.

The monograph under review examines the pages of life and political activities of Helmut Kohl, the Chancellor of German unity. The source base of the book includes materials from Russian and German archives, documentary collections, memoirs, and publications on the subject under research. Thanks to this, the author was able to show that the solution of the German question was possible not only due to the external and internal factors but also due to the political will of Helmut Kohl.

The paper discusses Moses Mendelssohn's work Phaedo and its Polish translation which was published in 1829 by Jakub Tugendhold. Although this book did not exert impact on Polish philosophy, Tugendhold, the translator, aimed to use Mendelssohn's biography and his Phaedo as an instructive example for those representatives of Jewish community who wanted to free themselves from isolation and undergo social and economic, though not religious, assimilation into their Polish and Christian surrounding. Moreover, the author briefly compares Plato's and Mendelssohn's Phaedos.
