This article highlights the issue of the importance of information, the need to ensure its proper storage and use. Nowadays, the question of the importance of studying the functioning of data storage facilities in one of the most common design models – Data Flow Diagram, and data storage (DS or DW) in the whole. A study of abstract devices of this information security model was carried out: types, features and types of data storage, which are used in information systems (relational, multidimensional, and hybrid repositories), from the point of view of using models for presenting data; appearance of warehouses and building rules; Letter identifiers of storages "D", "C", "M" and "T" with the help of which the type of storages is determined; features of the numerical part of the identifiers for decompositions of the first and second tier processes; mechanisms that support data retention for their intermediate processing in information systems. Transition of properties and characteristics from physical to logical representation, rationalization of data warehouses by considering the features of the logical model. In the course of the work, the peculiarities of the construction of the DFD and the reflection of the interrelationships in all the component diagrams, defined in the general rules that are valid for the two, were considered. The highlighted issues concern the elements of the diagrams, which can be freely exploited within the borders of Ukraine, as well as the elemental content of the different types of diagrams in the diagrams. The unique functionality of domestic DFD diagrams allows to use a sufficient, albeit limited, elemental structure for construction. Depending on the actual possibilities, the diagrams of the Ukrainian manufacturer are somewhat simplified and imperfect according to modern technologies, but these factors do not diminish the importance and necessity of adequate data protection at the highest level. Therefore, in this work, the main most informative moments of the use of this or that type of storage, the demand for DS, in the field, are highlighted, possible advantages and disadvantages of using physical data storage facilities and features of virtual operation.

Deep learning is used to address a wide range of challenging issues including large data analysis, image processing, object detection, and autonomous control. In the same way, deep learning techniques are also used to develop software and techniques that pose a danger to privacy, democracy, and national security. Fake content in the form of images and videos using digital manipulation with artificial intelligence (AI) approaches has become widespread during the past few years. Deepfakes, in the form of audio, images, and videos, have become a major concern during the past few years. Complemented by artificial intelligence, deepfakes swap the face of one person with the other and generate hyper-realistic videos. Accompanying the speed of social media, deepfakes can immediately reach millions of people and can be very dangerous to make fake news, hoaxes, and fraud. Besides the well-known movie stars, politicians have been victims of deepfakes in the past, especially US presidents Barak Obama and Donald Trump, however, the public at large can be the target of deepfakes. To overcome the challenge of deepfake identification and mitigate its impact, large efforts have been carried out to devise novel methods to detect face manipulation. This study also discusses how to counter the threats from deepfake technology and alleviate its impact. The outcomes recommend that despite a serious threat to society, business, and political institutions, they can be combated through appropriate policies, regulation, individual actions, training, and education. In addition, the evolution of technology is desired for deepfake identification, content authentication, and deepfake prevention. Different studies have performed deepfake detection using machine learning and deep learning techniques such as support vector machine, random forest, multilayer perceptron, k-nearest neighbors, convolutional neural networks with and without long short-term memory, and other similar models. This study aims to highlight the recent research in ...

Microwave materials have been widely used in a variety of applications ranging from communication devices to military satellite services, and the study of materials properties at microwave frequencies and the development of functional microwave materials have always been among the most active areas in solid-state physics, materials science, electrical and electronic engineering. In recent years, the increasing requirements for the development of high speed, high frequency circuits and systems require complete understanding of the properties of materials function at microwave frequencies. Ferroelectric materials usually have high dielectric constant, and their dielectric properties are temperature and electric field dependent. The change in permittivity as a function of electric field is the key to a wide range of applications. Ferroelectric materials can be used to fabricate capacitors for electronic industry because of their high dielectric constant, and this is important in the trend toward miniaturization and high functionality of electronic products. The simple tunable passive component based on ferroelectric films is a varactor which can be made as a planar structure and used for electrically tunable microwave integrated circuits. It is an important task to sinter highly tunable and low loss ferroelectrics, fabricate and test the properties of microwave ferroelectric components. This thesis shows experimental results on growth, crystalline and microwave properties of Na0.5K0.5NbO3 (NKN), AgTa0.5Nb0.5O3 (ATN), Ba0.5Sr0.5TiO3 (BST) as well as AgTaO3 (ATO), and AgNbO3 (ANO) thin films. The films were grown by Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD) and rf-magnetron sputtering techniques from stoichiometric high density ceramic NKN, ATN, ATO, ANO and BST targets onto LaAlO3 (LAO), Al2O3 (r-cut sapphire), Nd:YAlO3 single crystals and amorphous glass substrates. Advanced X-ray diffraction examinations showed NKN, ATN, BST films on LAO substrates grow epitaxially, whereas films on r-cut sapphire were found to be ...

In recent years, sugar factories have experienced problems in slicing, extraction and pulp pressing, the cause of which was suspected to be a change in the texture of the sugar beet. In order to analyse the influence of sugar beet texture, processing trials were carried out on a laboratory scale. For this purpose, three sugar beet cultivars with different marc content and corresponding differences in texture were grown in 2020. In 2021, two of the cultivars were included, which were then exposed to either frost (–15 °C, 7 days) or heat (30 °C, 7 days). Consistently, very clear differences between cultivars in processing were evident regardless of treatment. Although there was little difference in cossette quality or pressing, the cultivar with the higher marc content had larger cossette bed and thus better flowability (percolation flow rate) than the cultivar with low marc content in the extraction. Cossettes from frozen beet had much lower percolation flow rate due to destruction of the cell structures but were easier to press than without prior freezing. Moderate heat had no effect on processing. Thus, beet with a higher marc content and thus higher root strength have advantages for processing. It is expected that there is an optimum for root strength. Further trials will investigate how severe heat stress affects the root strength and processability of beet.

This article introduces the reader to the EEG via a literature review and then presents data from a study that uses television commercials to modify EEG. Data show correlations between level of EEG activity and several measures of learning and affect. Further analysis presents a method to evaluate EEG change across half-second increments of the commercial. Speculations are made as to meaning and value of the EEG method.

The role of information processing in understanding people's responses to risk information has recently received substantial attention. One limitation of this research concerns the unavailability of a validated questionnaire of information processing. This article presents two studies in which we describe the development and validation of the Information‐Processing Questionnaire to meet that need. Study 1 describes the development and initial validation of the questionnaire. Participants were randomized to either a systematic processing or a heuristic processing condition after which they completed a manipulation check and the initial 15‐item questionnaire and again two weeks later. The questionnaire was subjected to factor reliability and validity analyses on both measurement times for purposes of cross‐validation of the results. A two‐factor solution was observed representing a systematic processing and a heuristic processing subscale. The resulting scale showed good reliability and validity, with the systematic condition scoring significantly higher on the systematic subscale and the heuristic processing condition significantly higher on the heuristic subscale. Study 2 sought to further validate the questionnaire in a field study. Results of the second study corresponded with those of Study 1 and provided further evidence of the validity of the Information‐Processing Questionnaire. The availability of this information‐processing scale will be a valuable asset for future research and may provide researchers with new research opportunities.
