Swatuk/Vale explore the human security challenges facing Southern African states at the dawn of the new millennium. Leysens/Thompson provide an institutional dimension to the debate by focusing on the human security challenges facing the SADC and its responses. Poku, again, explores the relationship between poverty and HIV prevalence and Matlosa analyses the relationship between global transfigurations and domestic stability in the case of Lesotho.
