The main purpose of the study was to investigate the present profile of technical education, their problems and prospects and to find out the causes in case of slow implantation and low achievements of target. The sample of the study consisted of 40 experts of technical education, 35 principals, 175 teachers and 350 students which were selected randomly. A questionnaire was developed for principals, teachers and students of polytechnic institutes/colleges of technology. This questionnaire consisted of 59 items. An interview was also conducted with the experts of technical education about problems and suggestion regarding. The data was statically analyzed using percentages and chisquare test. The study revealed that objectives and policies were not matching. It was further found that major causes of the problems were political instability and improper monitoring, out dated curricula, inadequate budget, outdated teaching methodologies, lack of proper linkage between technical education and industry. The study recommended that a National Council for Technical Education may be activated to regulate technical education. It is recommended to strengthen the public-private partnerships. The study also recommended that national occupational skills standards, curricula and trade testing certification system may be developed.

This research reviews about national education budget in the study of Islamic education policy. The federal education budget is part of the political education policy in Indonesia. The politic of education budget can be realized through systems made in a country. Government policy regarding education budget allocation of 20% is by the mandate of the 1945 constitution as included in the Draft State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (RAPBN). It is explained explicitly in the Statute of National Education System No.20 Year 2003 in article 49. This policy also becomes a lantern which can ease the economic burden of the poor to send their children to school because they have received funding from the government. However, the realization of the budget education of 20% may not be disbursed according to the benchmark percentage. Besides, there is Islamic education which has its institution in managing educational practices. This research was qualitative by collecting literature data from various primary and secondary references. Politic in education budget can make people more eager if all policy can protect other educational components, especially in the realm of Islamic education.Penelitian ini mengulas tentang anggaran pendidikan nasional dalam studi kebijakan pendidikan Islam. This paper utilizes a large cross-section of data sets such as the ILOSTAT, NSSO Quinquennial Employment and Unemployment Survey, Labour Bureau Annual Employment and Unemployment Survey, National Family Health Survey and CMIE Consumer Pyramid Household Survey to comment on the falling female labour force participation rates in India. It is found that not only has there been a fall in the female labour force participation rates, but the size of the total female labour force has also shrunk in recent years. Besides presenting a series of demand and supply side factors that might possibly explain this trend, it aims to look at it particularly in conjunction with education and provide a commentary on the same. It is proposed that prevailing social norms and patriarchy hinders the participation of women in the economy despite high levels of education. Bivariate and multivariate analyses is conducted on state level cross-sectional data and it is found that patriarchy is indicative of the large proportion of women out of the labour force at high levels of education. It is concluded that education in the current form alone might not be sufficient to spur growth in female labour force participation rates in India. Government schemes must target the fundamental cultural and social forces that shape patriarchy. These coupled with policies that simultaneously address some of the other demand and supply side constraints will go a long way in bolstering the participation of women in the economy.

Public administration educators in the United States have renewed their interest in incorporating an international perspective into their teaching. Why is this perspective important for students and how can educators integrate it meaningfully? In this article, I provide an argument for the internationalization of public administration curricula, generate nine "principles of practice" to help guide internationalization efforts, and specify two broad strategies through which an international dimension can be integrated into public administration curricula—one for leveraging comparative material in domestically-focused curricula and another for developing a distinct and standalone internationally-focused specialization.

There is an urgent need to strengthen links between the education and the rehabilitation of visually impaired people in developing countries and to change some current attitudes and approaches. The following article, based on the points discussed at a meeting held at the University of Birming ham on 28 November 1991, outlines problems of particular concern and considers ways in which they might be addressed. It lists the recommendations drawn up with a view to future action and further meetings.
