Das International Social Justice Project (ISJP) ist ein internationales Forschungsprojekt, an dem Sozialwissenschaftler aus zwölf Ländern beteiligt sind. Das Projekt hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, Einstellungen zur sozialen Gerechtigkeit und sozialen Ungleichheit der Bevölkerungen vergleichend zu untersuchen. Der Schwerpunkt der Studie liegt auf den politischen, ökonomischen, sozialen und moralischen Gesichtspunkten und Bedingungen empfundener distributiver Gerechtigkeit, und damit auf der Legitimation sozialer Ungleichheit in den untersuchten Gesellschaften. Die Studie wurde 1991 in dreizehn Ländern, 1996 in sechs Ländern, 2000 nur in Ost- und Westdeutschland und 2006 in sechs Ländern durchgeführt wurden. Der hier beschriebene Datensatz enthält die Daten der Erhebung 2006 in Deutschland.

This work reviews relevant reflections by Antonio Gramsci, referring to the State, the social structure and modernization. With these and other contributions, the Italian freed the philosophy of praxis from the reductionist and economistic stiffening that promoted the politics of the Komitern; above all, for his look at social structures and the processes of construction of hegemony and counter-hegemony, in social relations. Gramsci contributes to the understanding of the role of civil society, in its tensions with the State. In the construction of hegemony, it reviews the role of two institutions (the school and journalism) through which the intellectuals fulfill the functions of adaptation and consensus. On the other hand, when thinking about the State and civil society (organically related), it summons other concepts of its own: historical block, and moral and intellectual reform. Finally, he reviews the concept of modernization of the economy, and in close connection with it, analyzes what he calls passive revolution. ; Este trabajo revisa reflexiones relevantes de Antonio Gramsci, referidas al Estado, la estructura social y la modernización. Con estos y otros aportes, el italiano desembarazó a la filosofía de la praxis de los acartonamientos reduccionistas y economicistas que promovió la política del Komitern; sobre todo, por su mirada a las estructuras sociales y a los procesos de construcción de hegemonía y contrahegemnía, en las relaciones sociales. Gramsci aporta a la comprensión del rol de la sociedad civil, en sus tensiones con el Estado. En la construcción de la hegemonía, revisa el papel de dos instituciones (la escuela y el periodismo) a través de las cuales los intelectuales cumplen las funciones de adecuación y consenso. Viewed within their historical context, recent cuts to public social spending and increasingly governmental welfare reforms reflect and beget a shift in the praxis of social citizenship in the UK. This review article demonstrates how greater conceptual attention to the constitutive features of social citizenship can help clarify some of the claims made about its relation to austerity and welfare reform within the existing literature. Through schematic consideration of the emerging evidence, this article suggests that welfare austerity is undermining the 'effectiveness', 'inalienability' and 'universality' of social citizenship in the UK.

Life stories from teachers were poorly treated. However, the countless anecdotes at their disposal, written poems, testimonies, thoughts and revealed actions make it possible to understand, from a different angle, the role of educator they played during their career. The epistemological fund thus created is extremely rich for researchers in the humanities and social sciences. It was in this perspective that I looked at the trajectory of a former teacher dedicated to the educational and social cause in Senegal, Momar Lo. He served more than thirty years at the Senegalese school. He has also engaged politically in his place in which he is convinced that education and development include children's schooling and research. The biographical analysis presented here is largely based on a series of interviews I have conducted with Momar Lo, whose life has been entirely dedicated to helping children in school in order to provide them with an appropriate framework for continuing their studies. ; As histórias de vida que emanam dos professores têm recebido pouca atenção. The article discusses a successful rearrangement of the economy which was carried out in German FederalRepublic. It's "godfather" became Professor Liudwig Erhard whose personality combined whose theoretical knowledgeand an experience of a head leader of economy. Drastic reforms were performed on his initiative and underhis command. Thanks to these reforms defeated, ruined and disgraced during 10 postwar years Germany threw outideological stereotypes and all schemes of planned economy into the dump of history. Besides that it presented tothe world "an economic miracle" which made Germany a prosperous and powerful state.Socially orientated conception of market economy, always showing its best result during a short period of time,was raised into the rank of official GFR doctrine and become the basis of economic programmer or ChristianDemocrats Alliance.The article tells about the neoliberalism credo's founder – Freiburg's School.Particular attention is paid to Professor Walter Eucken and his social notions. Gerontology together with its subfields, such as social gerontology (sociology of ageing), geragogy, educational gerontology, political gerontology, environmental gerontology, and financial gerontology, is still a relatively new academic discipline that is currently intensively developing, expanding research fields and combining various theoretical and practical perspectives. The interdisciplinarity, transdisciplinarity, and multidisciplinarity of research on ageing and old age, despite its vast thematic, methodological and theoretical diversity, have a common denominator, which is the focus of research work on improving the quality of life of older people (see Fabiś et al., 2015). It is the concern for the components of quality of life such as welfare and well-being as well as focus on learning about phenomena conditioning successful ageing that has become motivators and premises hidden or visible in many texts included in the Research Topic "Perspectives and Theories of Social Innovation for Ageing Population."

The Research Topic that we are presenting to our readers is unique not only because of its size but above all because of its novelty and social involvement, visible in the content of individual chapters. The presented collection includes 17 articles prepared in total by 76 authors from the following countries: China, Finland, Germany, Ghana, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Two journals were combined with this Research Topic: "Frontiers in Public Health" and "Frontiers in Sociology." For many years, the scholarship of urban politics has drifted away from political science, both theoretically and methodologically. In this article, we systematically examine the boundary between urban political studies and the broader discipline of political science through an analysis of journal citations. We find that the analogy of a "black hole" is apt: No ideas escape the event horizon surrounding urban politics; furthermore, ideas from outside rarely penetrate the subfield's borders. Our evidence suggests that this is mostly due to a stunted solipsism that has engulfed too much of urban politics, but some of the blame must rest with the increasing insularity of political science. We suggest a research agenda that highlights the inherent dynamism in urban politics, and conclude with an endorsement of framework-driven citation analysis as a method of examining the flow of ideas across scholarly boundaries.

Despite growing research interest in the social impact of social enterprises (SEs), limited attention has been paid to the antecedents of social impact. To address this gap, we conducted a systematic review of 52 extant studies that examine the antecedents of SEs' social impact. The paper synthesizes the antecedents identified from prior work and categorizes them into individual- and organizational-level factors. Based on the findings, we develop a future research agenda to advance our knowledge of the antecedents of SEs' social impact. A key research opportunity is to explore the social impact antecedents related to the institutional and external environment of SEs, an area that has been overlooked in the literature. In terms of practical implications, the study can be used to consider which factors policy makers and practitioners should focus on to develop strategies for improving the social impact of existing and future SEs.

Resumen: Uno de los componentes centralmente políticos de toda política científica se refiere a la concepción de la relevancia que está implícita en ella, a través de la cual se juzga qué tipo de investigación se prefiere fomentar, y que sintetiza los objetivos de la política toda. En este trabajo se realiza un recorrido por las distintas etapas de la política científica luego de 1945 e identifican las distintas concepciones de la relevancia que están presentes, estableciendo paralelos entre lo sucedido a nivel global y a nivel latinoamericano. Se señala que la mayor discontinuidad entre la agenda global y la regional se manifiesta en la segunda parte de la década de 1960 y comienzo de la de 1970, cuando en el primero de los casos surgía un sentido socio-ambiental de la relevancia mientras en el nivel regional el sentido nacional que predominaba anteriormente se radicaliza hacia un sentido revolucionario. Finalmente, en la última sección, se propone para las políticas actuales un sentido público de la relevancia, caracterizado por el fomento de la participación de actores usualmente discriminados en los procesos de formación de agendas políticas ; Abstract: The conception of "relevance" that is implied in every science policy is one of its most political components, since it enables the judgement on which kind of research should be promoted and summarizes the objectives of the whole policy. This article aims to explore the history of science policy in the 20th Century and seeks to identify the conceptions of relevance present in it both at a global and Latin American level. It is noted that the main discontinuity between the two agendas can be found in the late 1960s and early 1970s, when a socio-environmental sense of relevance emerged in the global scene, but the Latin American reflections showed a radicalization of the previous national sense of relevance into a revolutionary one. Finally, in the last section, a new public sense of relevance for current science policies is proposed to increase participation of marginal actors in research agenda-setting processes

Recent studies on Chile agree that the country's youth enjoy greater social mobility than previous generations. This has been attributed either to their greater access to higher education or to life-cycle effects on occupation. A test of these two hypotheses by estimating the socioeconomic positions of four generations of Chileans using a model of analysis based on the social reproduction paradigm shows that younger generations of Chileans have a lower level of social inheritance than the rest of the population only during their initial years in the labor market. Therefore, the greater social mobility observed in them is temporary and is explained by life-cycle effects on occupation. Estudios recientes sobre Chile coinciden en que la actual juventud chilena goza de una mayor movilidad social que las generaciones anteriores. Esto se ha atribuido a su mayor acceso a la educación superior o a los efectos del ciclo de vida en la ocupación. Aquí se examinan estas dos hipótesis a partir de una aproximación en torno a las posiciones socioeconómicas de cuatro generaciones chilenas. Se utiliza un modelo analítico asentado en el paradigma de la reproducción social, el cual nos muestra que las generaciones más jóvenes tienen un grado de herencia social más bajo que el resto de la población tan sólo durante sus primeros años como participantes en el mercado laboral. Por lo tanto, su mayor movilidad social es temporal y se explica a partir de los efectos del ciclo de vida en la ocupación.
