The article considers the Soviet roots of Islamic rise at the micro level of the individual farm in Northern Dagestan. The author comes to the conclusion that the post-Soviet reislamization of the village in 1990ies was not "revival", back to the local pre-revolutionary Islamic tradition, destroyed during Soviet political repression. The basis for the Islamic rise of the 1990-ies was founded in the jamaats of collective and state farms, existing in the mountains and on the plains in the second half of the twentieth century. The Farm was not an intermediary between the Soviet authorities and the local society, it would stand with the Muslim community, but had given the last resources for existence.

; The author researches the activity and living conditions of twenty-five-thousanders in Tambov village in January-March 1930, tells that the objectives set by the government for the workers and Komsomol members in administrative positions in the village received a high party grade, and shows that behind the facade of the large-scale campaign the inexperience and unpreparedness of recruited twenty-five-thousanders, the disorder of everyday life and, consequently, their mass departures to the town were concealed.
; The social background of the collective farms" administration in the south of Russia in the 1930s is analysed to reveal the legitimacy of the «kulak sabotage» theory. The author comes to a conclusion that the notion «kulak» was gradually gaining the social and political meaning in the 1930s, which resulted in the groundless extension of this social group and the increase in repressions.
; On the basis of data previously not entered into a scientific turn of archive documents reflecting the main provisions of agrarian policy of Soviet state, an attempt to analyze the implementation of state campaign against violations of the Charter of agricultural cooperatives in the collective farms of the RSFSR in the Volga Region and to identify the relationship of peasantry to these activities. In the article it is proved that the mass violation of labor discipline by peasants on collective farms was due to the lack in workers of a material interest in the result of their labor. According to the author, current in the collective farms unfair wage system, developed on the basis of workdays leads to the fact that farmers are focusing on the development of their own farm. At the same time farmers were susceptible to various violations of Soviet legislation, especially in land use.
; In the years of the great Patriotic war, the most important task of the military economy was the decision of problems of mass farm personnel. From the first days of the war collective farms in the Urals faced great difficulties caused by the departure of the most part of able-bodied men in the front, and labour mobilization of farmers to work in the industry. The severity of the situation is aggravated even more by the fact that in the Urals artel by the number of working here were lower than in other regions of the country, and the production load on the collective farmers above. Therefore, the reduction in the working of the peasant population in the Urals was especially prominent. The main source of compensation disposed of peasants was to draw on the collective farm work all remaining villagers and improvement of their production activity. Output growth was largely due to the work of women. Few of the men who remained in collective farms, were generally employed in a managerial work or worked in the MTS. Women-farmers, burdened with the children and the household, working in cooperatives for free or almost free, bore the brunt of peasant labour. A certain contribution to the solution of the problem of mass collective frames made mobilized in agricultural works citizens. However, the loss of able-bodied farmers from collective farms was so significant that compensate for it was far from complete. Presents calculations of a degree of their involvement in the production was offset the decline in mass farm personnel in those years. In these conditions special value acquired supervision of mass farm's staff, supervising, placement and proper organization of work in collective farms.
The article analyses the materials of field studies carried out in two villages of the region of Perm, reflecting the history of post-soviet agrarian development. The successes and failures of political and economic initiatives in Russia depend on the ability to introduce new agrarian projects into the traditional foundations of life of the rural communities.

; On March 8, in 1944 the Balkar people were deported from their native places by the will of "the leader of people". The barbarous action was held when every fourth Balkar citizen protected the Homeland on the military fronts, and every second was dead. Children, women and old men appeared the victims of the violent eviction. The present article is devoted to their feasible contribution to a general victory.
; In the present article based on rare archival materials for the first time used in scientific circulation the author examines the issues of cultural and domestic arrangement of migrant kolkhozes (collective farms) in the North Caucasus region in the period of agriculture collectivization. The author highlights the key activities of regional authorities in the sphere of cultural development within these collective farms. It is stated that cultural arrangement of resettlement of collective farms in the 1930s was far from ideal. But taking into account state importance of the resettlement campaign, the authorities managed to achieve certain positive changes. An integral part of the cultural life of the people of the red army was its political and ideological component, due to the high level of politicization of public life in the USSR in 1930s. The red army collective farms were equipped with schools, nurseries and kindergartens, clubs and cinemas but these institutions were poorly organized. The article points out that labour of the red army settlers had little common features with farms of the local people. Community production activities and everyday leisure are, on the contrary, marked by the similarity of lifestyle. The mass spread of literacy stimulated the reader 's interest immigrants in their leisure hours read the newspapers, magazines and books, mainly fiction. The author examines the everyday life of immigrants, and it is largely substantiated by their social moods which contributed to the formation of the red army collective farms. The author came to the conclusion that the daily life of settlers was largely due to their social disadvantage. Food and accommodation, working conditions were at a very low level. For most of them, life and work in the Kuban Cossack villages was a daily test of their physical and moral forces and was not much different from the life of the Kuban collective farmers.
The article based on archival sources and published studies deals with the policy of collectivization in the Mari Autonomous Region in the 1930-1931ss. At the end of 1929, the party leadership announced the transition to a policy of total collectivization and the liquidation of the kulaks. This decision was made because there was a "radical turn" in Soviet agriculture. More precisely, many peasants began to join collective farms. Mari Autonomous Region Government made unreal plans for the collectivization of farms. So, it was decided to complete collectivization by the end of 1930. In the archival documents it is shown, that during the years of collectivization Party and Soviet workers used an administrative pressure on individual farmers. Thus, by the end of February, a significant number of regional farmers joined the collective farms. But actually, these farms turned out artificial. As a result of government decisions denouncing the administration, forced collectivization at the local level, and requiring the principles of voluntary in the organization of collective farms, most of collective farms of the region were wrecked. The Regional Government failed to achieve a breakthrough in the course of collectivization by the end of 1930. A new wave of involving peasants into collective farms took place in the spring and summer of 1931. It was also accompanied by the methods of pressure, dispossession and eviction of peasants. Mari farmers previously evicted only within the area began to be evicted out of the area. Thus, by the end of 1931, almost half of regional farmers joined the collective farms. Based on the documents, a conclusion is that economic coercion (taxes, dispossession) allowed local Party and Soviet workers to achieve a breakthrough in the course of collectivization in the Mari region in 1931.
; In the article, on the basis of analysis of peasants letters published in the periodicals of Kuibyshev and Ulyanovsk regions in 1946, the author made an attempt to determine the most pressing social problems of the post-war rural society of Middle Volga. The author supposes that the Soviet periodicals acted within certain political conditions and predetermined ideological cliches, but, in spite of this, they published letters criticizing the accepted practices of the collective farm management, trade, and cultural public services. In their letters to the Soviet periodicals (regional and local newspapers) the peasants reported on the corrupt practice of public officials, their drunkenness and pimple coverer. The author notes that the basic law of rural life the Charter of the Agricultural Artel was violated not only by officials but also by ordinary farmers. In particular, it was expressed by stealing of socialist ownership. The analysis of peasants' correspondence allows to make a conclusion that the farmers worried about not only the issues of collective farm development, but also about the questions of cultural and leisure facilities. More frequently, when writing to periodicals, the villagers asked to assist in opening of a club or called attention of the society and the authorities to the improper performance of duties by cultural and educational workers. In the author's opinion, the most acute problems in the postwar rural society were the problems of law observance by collective farm officers and the village administration, trade and consumer services, and cultural development. Based on the analysis of peasant letters, the author comes to the conclusion that the farmers, having quick senses of mood of the times, tried to get different dividends through the press organ: to demote undesirable chairman of a collective farm, to get some material benefit and satisfaction in the result of the rule of law. In our opinion, writing letters to the newspapers and reporting violations of the fundamental principles of collective farm by the officials of the farm, the farmers wanted to encourage political leaders to reform the collective farm sphere, to make it clear that the current situation in rural areas do not meet the requirements of the majority of population. Drawing public attention to the accepted practice of the improper performance of position obligations by the commercial workers and workers of cultural institutions, the villagers emphasized their legal right to get services guaranteed to the citizens of the USSR.
; This article is devoted to such an important aspect of economic policy of the German occupational authorities as the agrarian policy and the way of realization of the Agrarian reform of 15 February 1942. The author characterises the Agrarian reform, designed to abolish the kolkhoz system and transfer the kolkhoz lands into personal peasant ownership. The author emphasizes that this reform was the most potent propaganda theme. The author notes that, in theory, the Agrarian reform applied equally to all German-held areas in the USSR, but in practice, there were regional variations. For example, in Leningrad region these variations depended on the local power military government.
Considering collectivization of agriculture in the USSR in the 1930s as a cruel anti-peasant policy has always been most popular way to criticize 'Stalinism' by Western historians and political scientists. Some of our domestic historiography and journalism have joined the ranks of such critics. However, the agrarian reform of the 1930s was much deeper rooted in the previous stage of agrarian evolution of Russia than it has been widely acknowledged. In fact the communal peasant village managed to adapt rather successfully to those new economic and political conditions, to the new format 'one village one kolkhoz'. Highly different was the situation with Khruschev's agrarian reforms which turned out to be a thoughtless enlargement of collective farms and extermination of "unpromising villages". Some analysts called those reforms of the 1950s "a second collectivization".
