"This article/research that I translated from Hasan Hanefi examines, in terms of Spanish philosopher Miguel de Unamuno, the ancient Christianity throughout the history. While Hasan Hanefi, here, researched Christianity beliefs in the presence of Ancient Christians, on the one hand, he criticizes of it, on the other hand, from own viewpoint, aims for explanation of it. Hasan Hanefi, also here, compares the Christianity beliefs established by the institution of papacy with philosophies of his age in which includes schools like communism, socialism and existentialism. According to what Hasan Hanef said, Unamuno follow such a conclusion: the contemporary Christianity has lost that noble ore and effect arising from jesus son of mary, who is prominent with/stamped with the life, the dynamism and regeneration and the spritual ressurrection; whether individually or socially, it has become such a thing that loses it's effect and power on spirits. We also may said: Our author Hasan Hanefi, in terms of essence and nature of Christianity, make comparisons between the philosophies and trends of his age and philosophies that will come later and have an impact on humanity, especially on Europeans… After all this, definitely, he concludes such a result: Some philosophies is closer to, in it's essence and nature, the Christianity religion and the message of jesus, than the Christianity religion institutionalized throughout the history! and he maintains his explanations: that Christianity religion has lost, especially throughout scholastic ages, it's nature and divine character and, no matter where and when one lives, except a blind devotion, has become a mechanic belief ineffective on human sprit!."
; The phenomenon of the state is a concept which has been questioned from the Ancient Greek until today and still is being questioned. Demokrasinin tarihini Antik Yunan'a kadar götürmek mümkündür. However, modern democracy has a short history from the end of the 18th century. The clearest definition of modern democracy can be found in the Gettysburg Discourse in 1864 given by Abraham Lincoln. Here, Lincoln praised democracy for its virtues, which he described as "democracy is the government of the people, by the people, and for the people". Anthony Arblaster says that democracy is used in many different meanings and practices in its history based on the most egregious. Democracy is a vision of ideals that are always seeking more democratic in the given history of mankind. Societies are making an effort to reach this ideal. Various breaks are experienced with the effort of the societies in the name of democratization. The repair of these breaks contributes to the development of democracies. Especially in the developing countries such as Turkey, the reactions that are shown to military conflicts are thought to be a test of democracy. In this study, one of the most important breaking points in the democratization process of Turkey, The coup in May 27, in 1960, was examined from a sociological standpoint in the perspective of caricature. Continuous expression is supported by examples of caricature. Three terms have been set to explain the May 27 Coup. These periods; Before May 27 1960, May 27 1960 and May 27 1960 after the coup. Eleven samples of caricature have been provided in total. Literature search and documentation methods were employed in collection of data. Semiology and discourse analysis were utilized in interpretation of the data collected. MAXQDA Qualitative Data Analysis Software was used in analysis of the collected data. Ibn Khaldun advocated that every political entity should be born, grown, developed and finally died through various like human beings. Ibn Khaldun argues that prosperity, comfortable and calm lives is came from the nature of state order. Since people who have these things would prefer comfort, prosperity, luxury and peace; the aging and collapse dynasties in power in the long run is inevitable. The idea that power will eventually degenerate and corrupt the government and lead the country into degeneration is clearly expressed by Ibn Khaldun. This basic assumption has played a very important role in shaping liberalism in the modern western political thought. When we look at the last two centuries of Turkish political history, it can be stated that the "Sened-i İttifak", "Tanzimat", "Constitutional Monarchy" and finally the "Republic" were permanent answers to the problem of the degeneration of power expressed from Ibn Khaldun.

; The basis of the idea of integration in Europe is based on a very ancient history. However, the political and economic collapse created by the 2nd World War was very important in the establishment of this union. France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg by the support of USA firstly constituted the European Coal and Steel Union (ECSC) with the Paris Agreement in 1951 and then continued to constitute the European Economic Community (EEC) and the European Atomic Energy Community (AAET-EURATOM) with the Treaty of Rome to develop their post-war distorted economies. The Community, which experienced expansion with the agreements made in the process, made changes in its institutions depending on the enlargement, created new institutions, and increased the powers of the existing institutions. Relations when were founded half a century ago between Turkey and the European Union based on Turkey`s application for membership of the EEC on 31 July 1959.EEC Council of Ministers, accepting that Turkey had made the application, has offered the signing of a partnership agreement will be valid until the membership conditions occur. Following the Ankara agreement signed on 12th September in 1963 entered into force on 1 December 1964, Turkey-EU partnership relationship began. One of the significant turning points in Turkey-EU relations in 1996 the signing of the Customs Union Agreement and the other is the confirmation of Turkey's candidate status at the Helsinki Summit in 1999. After giving candidate status to Turkey, it aims to ensure compliance with the Copenhagen criteria by Adjustment Act and the reform packages. It was indicated that Turkey provides political criteria in the Summit meeting held in Brussels on 17 December 2004. Because of that on 3 October 2005, it was decided to meet the EU accession negotiations formally launched.
Platon'un "Sokrates'in Savunması" ve "Gorgias", Aristoteles'in ise "Retorik" adlı eserlerinde siyasal iletişimden izler bulmak mümkündür. ABSTRACTANALYSIS OF THE PRESS IN TERMS OF POLITICAL COMMUNICATION DURING 2011 GENERAL ELECTIONSPolitical communication, which arises out of the crossroads of politics and communication disciplines, does not exist just theoretically in our lives. Such that, every means of mass communication that surrounds our environment carry political communication messages at any moment by reflecting these messages using different wordings at the same time. Press is one of the most effective means of mass communication from past to present. Because of this reason, not only in the election periods, but also during non-election periods, newspapers have an important role in terms of political communication. Even though political communication started to gain popularity towards the end of the 20th century, it's been in existence since Ancient Greeks. It's possible to find the traces of political communication in Platon's works, "Sokrates's Defence" and "Gorgias" and, Aristoteles's work "Rhetoric". Especially rhetoric (persuasive use of the language) is one of the basic elements of the political communication techniques. In time, the developing political and communication systems has broadened the influence area of the term. Almost all the components of marketing came together under the name of "political communication management" and ramify in to the branches like political advertisement, political propaganda and political marketing. Mainly, by the development of communication technologies in the United States, the importance of political communication has increased and long-term strategical plans (including non-election period) has started. At this point, various theories and models have started to be produced as a sample for the long/short term effects of the means of mass communication on the society. One of these theories which concerns political communication is Agenda Setting. According to this model, the media do not determine "what we are going to talk" but "about what we are going to talk". In other words, it redirects us. Thereby, the power that press has is seen as a mean of manipulation by the political party leaders. This situation directly takes press and politics in to the subject. Throughout the history of the press, politics and power relations were always on the agenda. Especially in the history of Turkish press, the censorship, banned magazines and newspapers, the journalists who were sentenced reveal the size of these relationships. Certainly, the emergence of first newspapers by the hand of state, the incentives provided by the governments, the conglomeration in the press immediately afterwards, and the changing understanding in the journalism all have had an impact on the relationships which reached this perplexed state, too. Eventually, the changing understanding in the journalism has brought the problem of "commoditization in the news", as well. Besides, the conflicts between the press and politics have affected the language of the news; the elements like objectivity and balance in the news have clearly begun to be ignored. Because of all these reasons, how the political communication process of the leaders and parties were presented and reflected during 2011 general elections in Turkey is analyzed. Between May 1 and June 12, the election studies of political parties in the news of the daily national newspapers Cumhuriyet, Hürriyet and Zaman is analyzed by using the model of critical discourse analysis. In the first chapter of this study, the History, Elements and Development of Political Communication in Turkey were discussed, beside the concepts of Politics, Communication and Political Communication. In the second chapter, Relationship between Press and Political Communication, Place of the Press in Political Communication, Political Communication and Journalism Ethics are studied. In the third section, slogans, advertisements, election promises and promotional activities of the parties in the process of 2011 general elections are widely examined. Finally in the fourth chapter, selected newspapers were analyzed through Critical Discourse Analysis Model.
