Informationen können mit ihrer Hilfe verteilt und manipulationssicher abgespeichert werden, ohne eine zentrale Instanz als Aufsicht. Längst wird sie daher auch im Gesundheitswesen diskutiert. Doch noch ist unklar, ob in Kliniken der erhoffte Nutzen höher sein wird als die Kosten.
