In: Dialectical anthropology: an independent international journal in the critical tradition committed to the transformation of our society and the humane union of theory and practice, Band 16, Heft 3-4, S. 209-232
The author explores the development of contemporary Chinese intellectual discourse by analysing Li Zehou's (a senior research fellow in the Institute of Philosophy of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences) philosophical ideas, his theories on Chinese traditional culture and his political role in the late 1980s. Lin Min points out that Li has made substantial contributions to the two pillars (revitalization of Marxism and nationalism) of Communist Party legitimacy in China in the post-Mao era. (DÜI-Sen)
